Thinking a lot about alternative modes of law enforcement in my fantasy setting and worrying the copaganda is working on me lmfao
#mostly like. trying to think about how different law enforcement would be if it developed under different circumstances#and with different world mechanics#throwing around the idea of people who are specifically trained in restraint and first aid magic#and like. in lieu of a police force what would homocide investigation look like#because imo anarchy is the ideal structure of society but I truly do not believe it could work on the scale of entire countries/city-states#just because of how massive the power vacuum would be. like there needs to be some form of regulation and some way to enforce it#but obviously acab#so I think in this setting the ideal situation would be getting a bunch of wizards and training them exclusively in support magic#rather than police there is a group of first-responders whose job it is to deescalate violence#but their primary function is disaster relief. since 70% of people in this world use magic anyway most crime that isn't solved#with interpersonal fireballs is huge-scale anyway lmfao#there are unfortunately still cops in this world though. capitalism isn't dead yet. but communism has made a valiant return.
