Four people have been arrested in Texas for running a “forced labor” scheme from an unassuming home on a quiet block, leaving neighbors stunned.
Fifteen women were found living in a home in Princeton — about 45 miles northeast of downtown Dallas — following a welfare check where they were forced to sleep on the floor when they weren’t working, according to Fox 4 News.
There was essentially no furniture in the home — just blankets and a bunch of computers and other electronics, police said in an announcement Monday.
The women were reported to police by a pest control company that was called to the home for bedbugs, according to an affidavit obtained by the outlet.
The inspector noted that “each room… had 3-5 young females sleeping on the floors” and said there were “large amounts of suitcases.”
Chandan Dasireddy, 24; Dwaraka Gunda, 31; Santhosh Katkoori, 31 — all of Melissa, Texas — and Anil Male, 37, of Prosper were arrested in March and charged with human trafficking.
Police said the women were forced to work for Katkoori and several programming shell companies owned by him and his wife, Gunda.
A search of the home revealed several laptops, cell phones, printers and fraudulent documents.
Investigators later learned that the forced labor operation included multiple locations in Princeton, Melissa and KcKinney with dozens of victims — including adult males. Additional electronics and documents were seized from other locations.
Princeton Police Sgt. Carolyn Crawford told Fox 4 that “over 100” people were involved — more than half of whom are victims.
More arrests are expected, cops said.
“How we came across this situation was very unique,” Princeton Police Chief James Waters said. “[Investigators] would unravel just a multitude of other clues and a multitude of other scenes that was going out there.”
The neighborhood is shocked such an operation was happening on their street.
“I would’ve never thought that something like this was going on like a few houses down from mine,” neighbor Herbert Logan said.
Another neighbor, Steven Watkins, said he had “no idea about anything.”
“What was going on before we even moved in here? It’s kind of really dark to think about,” he said.
Police would not disclose where the victims are from or if they ever tried to escape.

(♡)... HER SCANDAL WITH "ALLEGED" EX JYP STAFF !
Tumblr media
when did this happen? november 2020
serious level: 8.5 / 10
— what happened? a alleged ex staff came took to twitter , and accused bibi of being a complete terror to work with , that she was completely disrespectful to staff , was often rude to her , she said that bibi would yell and curse at her if she got her make-up or hair wrong — she went as far as to say that bibi would physically harm her. she also alleged that many staff quit their jobs because they were frightened of the girl.
respond: since this blew up really big even news outlets were talking about it , jyp actually had to look deep into this , find old staff members , interview the current staff members , and when concluded , it came to find out that it wasn't even true , they didn't even have anybody working under the name they had , and old staff came to her defense , saying that although she was a rowdy and energetic person , she was never disrespectful , and that they left due to personal reasons.

(♡)... BIBI'S "ALLEGED" NEW GIRLFRIEND !
Tumblr media
when did this happen? march 2022
serious level: 5.5 / 10
— what happened? a few years after the first girl friend situation , bibi at first usually steered clear of getting caught with women , even other idol girls , scared that people would think different , but this was a close friend that she had been childhood friends with since she was in dallas , and she decided it was time to let that fear go and hang out with her friend who was visiting. well a ot8 fan saw her and posted that she was on a date with another girl , and it quickly blew up again.
response: due to her being frightened for her friends safety , she begged the company to make a statement , she took to instagram , and pleaded with people not to believe the rumors and to not try and find her friend saying: she is just a friend of mine from dallas that i hadn't seen in a while and she is in a loving relationship , please don't trust me and don't go looking for her.
Tumblr media
(♡)... BIBI CAUGHT WITHOUT A BRA !
Tumblr media
when did this happen? april 2023
serious level: 2 / 10
— what happened? during the time out episodes of skz code , some fans pointed out that bibi wasn't wearing a bra. while some some fans were like okay , what's the big deal , bibi antis and ot8 fans began to throw hate at her , saying that she should dress more appropriately and that it was disgusting if that she'd walk around with her nipples showing , which you really couldn't see unless you zoomed in closely , which normal fans thought was weird.
response: what could the company say really , it wasn't really a big deal and bibi just thought it was funny , although she knew she shouldn't have said anything , during a live she said: "if you wear a bra all the time 24/7 that's fine it works for you , but it's uncomfortable for me , i won't be uncomfortable for others people comfortably."

Eleanor Klibanoff at Texas Tribune:
The Texas Supreme Court has unanimously rejected the most significant challenge to Texas’ new abortion laws yet, ruling Friday that the medical exceptions in the law were broad enough to withstand constitutional challenge.
The case, Zurawski v. Texas, started with five women arguing the state’s near-total abortion laws stopped them from getting medical care for their complicated pregnancies. In the year plus it took to move through the court system, the case has grown to include 20 women and two doctors. In August, a Travis County judge issued a temporary injunction that allowed Texans with complicated pregnancies to get an abortion if their doctor made a “good faith judgment” that it was necessary. The Texas Office of the Attorney General appealed. The Texas Supreme Court overturned that ruling Friday, saying it “departed from the law as written without constitutional justification.” While the opinion was unanimous, Justice Brett Busby issued a concurring opinion that left the door open to a broader challenge to the law.
Zurawski v. Texas was a pioneering case in post-Roe America, the first challenge to a state’s abortion bans on behalf of women with complicated pregnancies. At least three other states have followed suit, and it led to a related case, in which Kate Cox, an actively pregnant woman in Dallas sued to be allowed to terminate her pregnancy. The Texas Supreme Court rejected Cox’s plea in December, which many saw as a likely foreshadow of how the court might rule in Zurawski v. Texas. On Friday, those suspicions were confirmed when the court offered a ruling very similar in nature to the Cox case. “A physician who tells a patient, ‘Your life is threatened by a complication that has arisen during your pregnancy, and you may die, or there is a serious risk you will suffer substantial physical impairment unless an abortion is performed,’ and in the same breath states ‘but the law won’t allow me to provide an abortion in these circumstances’ is simply wrong in that legal assessment,” the court wrote.
How the case unfolded
The initial lawsuit was filed in March 2023, and unlike previous wholesale, pre-enforcement challenges to abortion bans, this case focused on a very narrow argument — women with complicated pregnancies were being denied medically necessary abortions because doctors were unclear on how and when they could act.
After the overturn of Roe v. Wade in summer 2022, Texas banned all abortions except to save the life of the pregnant patient. Almost immediately, women began to come forward with stories of difficult pregnancies worsened by doctors’ hesitations and uncertainty. Amanda Zurawski, the named plaintiff in the suit, was 18 weeks pregnant with a daughter they’d named Willow when she experienced preterm prelabor rupture of membranes. Despite the condition being fatal to the fetus and posing significant risks to the pregnant patient, her doctors refused to terminate the pregnancy because there was still fetal cardiac activity. Eventually, Zurawski went into sepsis and spent three days in the intensive care unit. While she survived, the infection has made it difficult for her and her husband to conceive again.
[...]
Friday’s ruling
In Friday’s ruling, the court ruled that only one of the 22 plaintiffs in the Zurawski suit had standing to sue — Karsan, the Houston OB/GYN who had agreed to perform Cox’s abortion. “We conclude that the Attorney General directly threatened enforcement against Dr. Karsan in response to her stated intent to engage in what she contends is constitutionally protected activity,” the justices wrote. “A state official’s letter threatening enforcement of a specific law against a plaintiff seeking relief from such enforcement is a sufficient showing of a threat of enforcement to establish standing to sue.” The trial court ruled in the injunction that a doctor should be allowed to perform an abortion when they deemed it necessary in their “good faith judgment.” Friday’s ruling found the trial judge overstepped, and said the way the law is written — allowing abortions based on a doctor’s “reasonable medical judgment” — is clear enough.
The all-GOP Texas Supreme Court hate women full stop, as the court rejected the Zurawski v. Texas lawsuit challenging the Lone Star State’s harsh abortion bans.

STORY POINTS
Life is a lot easier when you're born with your best friend. Carrie always had Christine and Christine always had Carrie.
They were around each other so often that it was easy to confuse the two of them. While it hurt Carrie in the beginning, both of them realized quickly that they could take advantage of it.
They played pranks on everyone. Some of them were a little mean but they were bored. Everyone would confuse them anyway so what was the point of being nice?
The only person who could tell them apart 100% was their older sister, Hope. She held the weight of their parent's expectations and she took good care of the twins. They respected her.
There was always some tension there but on a deeper level, the twins always cared about and would protect Hope no matter what.
Carrie always had a love of building and sketching. She'd spend her time in class doodling buildings on sitting and drawing city maps. She loved the design of them -- the intricate lines and hidden structures within the walls.
She knew instantly what she wanted to do when she and her sister made it to Europe for college... She wanted to be an architect.
It all became that much better when Christine decided to be her engineer. They could be a power duo for their entire lives and that was always what she wanted.
They studied diligently in Vienna and spent their off time living it up throughout the continent, experiencing everything they could get their hands on.
Eventually, they became very successful women. It was wonderful. They were doing great -- but their love lives took a bit of a toll.
Carrie met Irelia at a gala and they hit it off. Everything was so natural, so perfect, so sweet... Until she saw how smitten Christine was when she introduced the two of them.
She'd give up anything for her sister to be happy. Anything. Because she deserved it. Her happiness over her own every single time.
They got married and things were good! She had what-ifs stuck in her head every day since but Christine was so happy. It was worth it... Until one night, Irelia drunkenly kissed her instead of her sister.
Drunk herself, she figured it was a mistake. It had to be. It didn't help the what-ifs... But it couldn't happen again and her sister could never find out. It would break all that happiness she saw and she couldn't let that happen.
Months would go by but then they would banter and she would kiss her again. And again. And again. Every single time, it was the same. Carrie would say they couldn't do this and things would go back to normal again.
Until finally, after what seemed like the longest amount of time for Carrie, Christine was finally the one that Irelia hit on.
She wanted to say it was a complete relief that it was all finally over... But it wasn't. Her sister was inconsolable and Irelia was completely out of their lives. Even married to her sister, Carrie could at least see her. It was all over now.
Carrie honestly didn't believe she had to say anything about their past experiences. It was over now and Christine saw that she was cheating. That's all that mattered.
In her head, she believed she had done everything right in letting her sister believe that her marriage was perfect until that moment. That her sister was as perfect as Carrie believed her to be and the good memories would remain untainted.
The two of them moved to America after being commissioned for a huge project and figured it was time to check on Hope too. Time would go by without correspondence but not this much.
They returned to the town they had always been dying to leave and now were stuck there like everyone else.

Let me just clarify this: I don’t like Turning Point USA or other conservative media sources or that Riley was part of that. However violence against a woman because she has”wrong think” is still violence against women.
Footage of ex-college swimmer Riley Gaines being chased and verbally abused by protesters, who shut down a talk she had been due to give at San Francisco State University (SFSU), has been widely shared on social media.
Gaines alleges she was "physically hit twice by a man," with video posted on Twitter showing her being escorted to safety by police whilst demonstrators chant and heckle.
An intense debate has developed about the role of trans athletes in women's sport, with Republican-controlled states passing a wave of laws banning their participation.
On Thursday Gaines had been due to address a Turning Point USA (TPUSA) event at SFSU, but this was unable to proceed after demonstrators gained access to the venue.
A video Gaines shared on Twitter, which appears to show her being escorted out of the venue whilst protesters chant "trans rights are human rights," has been viewed more than 180,000 times.
Gaines commented: "The prisoners are running the asylum at SFSU...I was ambushed and physically hit twice by a man. This is proof that women need sex-protected spaces. Still only further assures me I'm doing something right. When they want you silent, speak louder."
Tumblr media
Another video of Gaines leaving the room, whilst being protected by police officers, was shared on Twitter by David Llamas, the "TPUSA College Field Representative for the Bay Area."
In this footage, demonstrators chant "trans women are women," whilst one protester shouts slurs at Gaines, labelling her a "b*****."
This footage, which was retweeted by Gaines, has received over 280,000 views.
Tumblr media
Nancy Hogshead, CEO of the 'Champion Women,' campaign group, tweeted that "trans radicals punched Riley Gaines" who "is in police protection now." This post, which added "male violence is the bane of our existence," was also retweeted by Gaines.
In a statement sent to Fox News Digital, Eli Bremer, Gaines' agent, commented: "Instead of a thoughtful discussion tonight at SFSU, Riley was violently accosted, shouted at, physically assaulted, and barricaded in a room by protesters. It is stunning that in America in 2023, it is acceptable for biological male students to violently assault a woman for standing up for women's rights."
Newsweek has contacted San Francisco State University and Turning Point USA for comment by email.
Gaines had previously competed against Lia Thomas, a University of Pennsylvania student who in March 2022 became the first trans woman to win the NCAA Division I women's 500-yard freestyle event.
Speaking to Fox News in December, Gaines accused Thomas of having "an utter disregard and disrespect towards women."
Thomas insisted trans athletes aren't a threat to women's sport, during an interview with ESPN in May 2022.
She commented: "Trans women competing in women's sports does not threaten women's sports as a whole.
"The NCAA rules regarding trans women competing in women's sports have been around for 10-plus years. And we haven't seen any massive wave of trans women dominating."
In August Gaines appeared alongside former President Donald Trump at a Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) event in Dallas.

The Dynamic Journey of Liv Morgan: A Wrestling Sensation
Gionna Daddio, famously known by her ring name Liv Morgan, was born on June 8, 1994, in Elmwood Park, New Jersey. Growing up, Liv was part of a large family with five siblings, including four older brothers and one sister. Despite facing hardships, including the early loss of their father, Liv’s mother, Georgette Morgan, raised her children single-handedly, fostering a close-knit family environment.
Tumblr media
Liv's fascination with professional wrestling began at a young age. She would often wrestle with her brothers in the backyard, imitating her idol, Lita. Liv admired Lita for her unique style, especially her tomboyish appearance and the way she wrestled the guys in baggy pants and sneakers. This early passion for wrestling set the foundation for Liv's future career in WWE.
Breaking into WWE
Liv Morgan’s journey into the wrestling world began in 2014 when she signed a contract with WWE. She trained at Joe DeFranco’s gym in Wyckoff, New Jersey, where she honed her skills and prepared for her debut. Initially, she was assigned to WWE's developmental territory, NXT, where she performed under the ring name Marley.
Her official NXT debut took place on November 4, 2015, as a jobber in a match against Eva Marie. Despite the loss, Liv’s potential was evident. She soon rebranded herself as Liv Morgan and continued to compete in NXT, gradually building a fan base with her energetic performances and charismatic presence.
The Riot Squad and Main Roster Debut
Liv Morgan's career took a significant turn when she became a member of the Riot Squad alongside Ruby Riott and Sarah Logan. The trio made their main roster debut on November 21, 2017, marking a pivotal moment in Liv’s career. The Riot Squad quickly gained attention for their rebellious persona and impactful storylines, becoming a notable faction in WWE.
Liv's time with the Riot Squad allowed her to showcase her abilities on a larger stage, connecting with fans through her dynamic performances and vibrant personality. The group’s success cemented Liv's status as a rising star in WWE.
Championships and Achievements
Liv Morgan’s perseverance and hard work paid off as she began to achieve significant milestones in her career. She won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, further establishing herself as a formidable competitor. Her dedication and ability to connect with the audience set her apart as one of the top talents in WWE.
In addition to the Tag Team Championship, Liv also captured the SmackDown Women’s Championship, adding another prestigious title to her resume. Her victories in these championships highlight her growth from a passionate wrestling fan to a celebrated champion.
Personal Life and Relationships
Liv Morgan’s personal life has seen its share of ups and downs. She previously dated Eric Arndt, known in WWE as Enzo Amore. The relationship ended amid controversy, with Liv publicly addressing the breakup on social media in December 2019.
In March 2020, Liv began a new relationship with fellow wrestler Jake Anderson. The couple got engaged in August 2020 and married in October of the same year. However, their marriage was short-lived, and they filed for divorce in September 2021.
Following her divorce, Liv found love again with Taylor Rotunda, better known as Bo Dallas. The couple reportedly started a family real estate business together and continue to date as of 2024. Despite keeping their relationship private, it is clear that Liv and Taylor have found common ground and are enjoying their time together.
Liv Morgan’s Physical Attributes
Liv Morgan’s physical attributes contribute significantly to her in-ring prowess. Standing at 5 feet 3 inches (160 cm) and weighing 125 pounds (57 kg), Liv is one of the shortest female wrestlers in WWE. However, her lightweight build allows her to execute high-flying moves and quick maneuvers, making her a formidable opponent in the ring.
Her distinctive tattoo, the date 11-21-17, commemorates the Riot Squad’s main roster debut, symbolizing a crucial milestone in her career. The tattoo, shared with her Riot Squad partners Ruby Riott and Sarah Logan, reflects the strong bond and collective achievements of the group.
Impact and Legacy
Liv Morgan’s journey from a young wrestling enthusiast to a WWE champion is a testament to her determination and passion for the sport. She has become a role model for aspiring wrestlers, demonstrating that hard work and perseverance can lead to success.
Liv’s vibrant personality and ability to connect with the audience have made her a fan favorite. Her performances in the ring are characterized by a blend of athleticism and charisma, captivating audiences worldwide. As she continues to evolve and achieve new milestones, Liv Morgan’s impact on the wrestling world remains profound.
Conclusion
Liv Morgan’s life and career journey reflect a remarkable story of resilience and achievement. From her early days in Elmwood Park, New Jersey, to becoming a celebrated WWE champion, Liv has overcome numerous challenges and emerged as a prominent figure in professional wrestling. Her dedication, talent, and vibrant personality have earned her a special place

“A Paris to Marfa March for Reproductive Rights” by Gayle Reaves, from the November/December issue of Texas Observer magazine:
Above: Louise Culbertson, 15, organized protests and rallies all over Texas on behalf of reproductive rights.
Louise Culbertson’s passion for political activism started when she heard about the murders of 17 students at a Parkland, Florida, school in 2018. With her mother’s help, she organized a demonstration in support of stronger gun laws in her hometown of Marfa. About 200 people showed up.
Culbertson was 10 years old at the time. She was proud to put Marfa on the map of places that had marched against gun violence, a list kept by March for Our Lives, the national organization of young people formed in the wake of Parkland to push back against the epidemic of shootings.
It was something Marfa needed, Culbertson said. The fear of a mass shooting at her own school was real. The shooting at a Santa Fe, Texas, school had happened the same year as Parkland. Four years later, Uvalde’s tragedy would reinforce the bitter, tragic lesson. What happened at Parkland and the other schools “really, really scared me,” she said.
Fast-forward to summer of this year, and Culbertson, now 15, was organizing protests and rallies all over Texas, this time in support of reproductive rights. And doing it from Paris, France. Anger at the reversal of Roe v. Wade had turned up her activism by a couple of notches. Thanks to her mother’s French background, Culbertson and her brother had been able to enroll in school in Paris two years earlier. But Culbertson was coming home to Texas for the summer with a mission.
She started planning in April, and in May got in touch with a nonprofit called Deeds Not Words (founded by former state senator and gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis) that helps young women build a stronger voice in politics. With their mentoring, Culbertson put together protest events in five cities. Amid Texas’ mind-numbing summer heat, she and her mom, Valerie Breuvart, drove from Austin to Houston, then to Dallas, El Paso, and home to Marfa. In Austin, only a handful of young people showed. In Houston, Dallas, and El Paso, Culbertson said, the turnout was about 20 to 30, from young teenagers to adults. Back home in Marfa, her event drew about 50 fellow protesters. In the other cities, Culbertson said, the events were in one place and featured speakers and people chanting and holding up signs. But in Marfa, she said, “We actually marched.”
“I loved it,” Culbertson said. “I definitely learned a lot. … We had great speakers.” And of course, she got to meet people all over the state and immerse herself in politics.
Where does her determination and interest in politics come from? Her father, Don Culbertson, is a physician’s assistant and her mother a teacher of art history. For more than a decade, they have owned and run a medical clinic in Marfa, with Breuvart working on the business side. “I was raised with my parents talking a lot about politics,” Culbertson said. She described them as “strong Democrats” who took her to polling places to show her how elections worked. “All my passion for politics comes from my parents cheering me along.”
The couple shared their daughter’s fears about gun violence and her concerns about the quality of the schooling that she and her brother would get in Texas. In 2021, they took a year’s sabbatical and went to France.
“We live here [in Marfa]; we have a business, our home. Louise was born on the living room floor here,” Don Culbertson said. But his wife’s background gave them the “opportunity to get a kick-ass education” in Paris for their kids. “And so we’re doing that. We’re so excited,” he said. For now, he and his wife return to Texas for a few weeks several times a year. While in France, Don Culbertson participates in the clinic via telemedicine. The whole family comes home in the summer.
Louise Culbertson said that the language instruction she’s getting in Paris is the best part. The schools she would be going to in Texas offer little in the way of foreign language programs, she said, whereas in Paris, “half of my courses are in English, half in French, and you have to take a third language.” A small city in Texas—even if it’s Marfa—can’t offer the social life that is available in Paris, and then there are, of course, the opportunities for activism.
In Paris, Culbertson is active in a group called Democrats Abroad France doing things like helping register Americans to vote back home. Her brother Victor, 18, is “even more happy than I was to move to Paris.” She called him a “classic teenager … having fun.”
Her activism probably wouldn’t go over as well in other parts of conservative rural Texas. But Marfa and Presidio County tend to be a world of their own—very oriented toward the arts and politically, as she said, “one blue county in a whole pool of red.”
Culbertson “grew up in this town. Everybody looks out for each other here,” said Lisa Kettyle, a founding member of the Big Bend Reproductive Coalition. Culbertson said the coalition has helped her plan her local protest events.
Natasha Acevedo, an outreach manager with Deeds Not Words, said Culbertson contacted the nonprofit last spring via Instagram. She shared her idea of a series of events around the state supporting reproductive freedom. The Roe v. Wade decision had “really made her feel heartbroken,” Acevedo said. Culbertson was one of the youngest activists they’d ever worked with, she’d reached out to them only about six weeks before the first event, and “she lived in a whole other country,” Acevedo said. But Culbertson “wanted some mentorship, and that’s what we do.” So the nonprofit agreed to help.
Deeds Not Words, which has been around about five years, has chapters on a handful of college campuses and is looking to add more. Acevedo said the group’s goal is to empower young people to deal with problems of gender inequality and to think about what a society built on equity would look like. “A lot of young people are very passionate about wanting things to change” but don’t know how to get started, Acevedo said. The nonprofit teaches them about building a community of like-minded people and starting with smaller concepts.
Acevedo helped Culbertson find the people she needed in each city, showed her how to create a pitch for her ideas, and met with her weekly to check on her progress. The 15-year-old was tenacious, passionate, and intelligent in how she dealt with people.
“She ended up having all the events she wanted,” Acevedo said, even though turnout was small for some. It shows that “no matter how young you are, you can make a difference.”
Culbertson said her aim is to “continue to grow awareness” about the repercussions of Texas’ severe abortion laws. A year after Roe v. Wade was overturned, she told the Big Bend Sentinel, “It’s still important to keep on marching … because this hasn’t gone away yet. And I’m not going to stop until it does go away.”

nhl teams as school clubs/student orgs
the result of a 15-minute conversation with lil @wymgreenteam this afternoon. based specifically on our experience in hs (also note that I’ve been out of hs for four years now so some of this might be misremembered but whatever it’s about the vibes).
this is not necessarily kind to all (or really any) teams but it is light-hearted and in good fun.
I put it under a readmore because 32 teams is a lot of teams
~
anaheim ducks: theater (actors specifically) - dramatic as fuck. loud as fuck. endearing in spite of it [see sharks/kings]
arizona coyotes: not a club. they’re the guys who show up to school in their tractors from october to march because the weather is fucking terrible and they’ve gotta get there somehow (thanks mn)
boston bruins: key club - self-important for no particular reason. also this is a club where you pay to do community service, which is just fundamentally wrong in the same way I feel when I see the bruins’ meth bear
buffalo sabres: swim team - wet. no I will not elaborate.
calgary flames: garden club - I didn’t even know we had a garden club until lil suggested this
carolina hurricanes: model UN - super well-run, they’ve got some nice kids involved, but I dislike them on principle
chicago I’m not writing out their team name: lacrosse - universally hated except by themselves and often take insults as compliments. also the worst punishment I can think of for a hockey team is telling them they remind me of lax bros
colorado avalanche: empowering women’s club - mostly performative but sometimes (when they can get the whole group together) they do fun things
columbus blue jackets: student section - they’re all college kids sorry it just fits
dallas stars: gender and sexuality alliance - listen. I don’t know what’s going on down there, but I can tell you it’s definitely gay
detroit red wings: cross-country - sometimes the rookies are good but everything else about them is forgettable
edmonton oilers: knowledge bowl - connor mcdavid reminds me of kb kids. leon draisaitl would be that guy who knows fuck-all answer-wise but can hit the buzzer super early and always knows what the question is asking. they just have neatly partitioned tasks for everyone and it sometimes works. yes I did kb for 7 years can you tell
florida panthers: FCA (fellowship of christian athletes) - the combination of donuts and christian rock at every meeting leveled out to a net zero
la kings: theater (tech crew specifically) - black and white outfits and idk sneaky vibes? they feel like a variety show in the same way tech does [see ducks/sharks]
minnesota wild: marching band - they’re dumb. they love each other. pranks are inevitable. some gay shit is happening. the director has very little control
montreal canadiens: magic the gathering club - just some kids hanging out. j chillin. one-sided feud with costco. vaguely hostile but in a blatantly self-defensive way
nashville predators: baseball - they were good for a while one time but now they’re just sad and middling
new jersey devils: speech - it’s fun when you’re not worried about winning, it’s a great group, but the moment you start paying attention to numbers you will cry
new york islanders: volleyball - bitchy vibes. and mat barzal’s tiny shorts
new york rangers: quiz bowl - to quote lil, they “aren’t smart enough for [knowledge bowl]” but also zero teamwork despite individual prowess
ottawa senators: robotics (FRC specifically) - they’re constantly falling apart but when it works it Works. also lots of freaks of many varieties (affectionate)
philadelphia flyers: that one political club a couple of my friends started junior year. pac or something? - it was going fine and then it changed management and now. hm.
pittsburgh penguins: student council - overachievers (affectionate). somewhat ineffective but they’re putting the effort in
san jose sharks: theater (pit specifically) - oft forgotten, but generally chill [see ducks/kings]
seattle kraken: chess club - to quote lil, “good vibes. don’t do anything, just here for fun.” I agree
st. louis blues: choir - rancid vibes. (I was a choir kid I’m allowed to say the vibes were rancid bc they were)
tampa bay lightning: honor society - overachievers (derogatory)
toronto maple leafs: lettuce club - for anyone unfamiliar, this is a club where every year, everyone interested sits at a table and simultaneously consumes an entire head of lettuce. whoever does it fastest is the Head of Lettuce for the next year. I have no fucking clue what they did at the rest of their meetings. leafs vibes
vancouver canucks: anime club - what the fuck is going on over there don’t look pretend you don’t see them and it’ll be fine (affectionate)
vegas golden knights: debate - this is for nolpats specifically I know he’s in LTIR hell but this is for him
washington capitals: that’s just the teacher’s union
winnipeg jets: football - they were never good but people go for the social aspect not the score

The schooner Clotilda (often misspelled Clotilde) was the last known U.S. slave ship to bring captives from Africa to the United States, arriving at Mobile Bay, in autumn 1859[1] or on July 9, 1860,[2][3] with 110 African men, women, and children.[4]
U.S. involvement in the Atlantic slave trade had been banned by Congress through the Act Prohibiting Importation of Slaves enacted on March 2, 1807 (effective January 1, 1808), but the practice continued illegally, especially through slave traders based in New York in the 1850s and early 1860. After the voyage, the ship was burned and scuttled in Mobile Bay in an attempt to destroy the evidence.
A spokesman for the community, Cudjo Lewis, lived until 1935 and was one of the last survivors from the Clotilda. Redoshi, another captive on the Clotilda, was sold to a planter in Dallas County, Alabama, where she became known also as Sally Smith. She married, had a daughter, and lived until 1937 in Bogue Chitto. She was long thought to have been the last survivor of the Clotilda.[5] Research published in 2020 indicated that another survivor, Matilda McCrear, lived until 1940.[6]
(the last living former slave in the US seems somewhat hard to verify, but anna j cooper is very well documented and lived to 1964! she was president of a university until age 82!)

Frozen Soul Merch
Dallas Texas’ FROZEN SOUL lives up to their name as the sound of death metal at its most cold and classic. Riff after slow, grinding riff, there’s no mistaking the themes of isolation and suffering that permeate the quintet’s massive sonic missives. From the first note of their Century Media debut, Crypt of Ice, it's like the march of Game of Thrones’ Night King put to sound: nothing subtle about it at all. Buy Frozen Soul Merch Here!
