What they said about the fic: though it is weird recommending my own fic for a fic recs post, i still believe that this fic encapsulates the theme well. it's still a fic that i like to read to make me feel something good through the hardship the mc has and how she and jay's connection develops over time.

Synopsis: you had always had daddy issues, for as long as you could remember. so when jay came along with his caring nature, how could you possibly keep your feelings at bay? not to forget, your roses of love have wilted long before you even knew what love meant but jay, he’s here at your doorstep with a watering can. will you be able to refuse?

or, new neighbor dr jay park is asked to babysit you over the week. ironically the only man you have ever had a crush on. you are so determined to put aside the feelings but jay makes things so much harder. he is way too sweet and caring and you are way too pessimistic and insecure. how is it going to work with you gravitating towards him in inadvertence and jay welcoming your presence with candor radiance? especially with all of your buried issues coming to life more than ever.

Genre: love at first sight au, summer love thingy, reader is a rich kid, beomgyu’s love languages are act of service and physical touch, hence there’s a lot of pda, lots of reference to paramore’s the only exception and txt’s our summer lyrics, angst

Synopsis: you were not the type to believe in the existence of love. until you had to spend the rest of your summer with a distant relative whom you’ve never met your entire life, in small town with an ocean view, where fate had brought you a boy whose eyes shine brighter than any stars in the night sky. and maybe, just maybe, love does exist.

What they said about the fic: Perfect to fall in love with summer! The vibe of it is nostalgic, soft and serene. Whenever I need comfort in my life, I always go back to this one.

Reading it with rosé's cover of the only exception is how I fell in love with summer. It has such warmth and wholesome way of describing things like eating watermelons with him, how he has a bicycle named chieko, cliffs, walking beside the sea barefoot, bonfires. It all feels like a perfect dream to never wake up to.

The characters are all written beautifully. Specially beomgyu, for me it highlights his personality the best. With accurate details like his parrot toto, him being a menace but a boy everyone loves, his coming back to y/n one night to seek comfort, him writing a song for y/n with his guitar. It's filled with beomgyuesque details! One of my favourite lines from the fic is 'He smells like summer' .

In a nutshell, a really good read. If I could only go back to read it for the first time again - I'd be the happiest.

hi anon!!! omg yeah i’ve also noticed that enhablr has been really inundated with smut lately! which isn't a bad thing; just not for everyone :'') but anyway i won’t lie,,, i haven't personally read much on enhablr so idk if i'll be super useful but my suggestion would be to look through recommendations from reading accs or k-networks!

for example, here are some i found from my rbs: one, two, three, four!

@.kflixnet has shared sooo many recommendations here and here; you can check out their full post here! ficscafe also has a big list here! there are other active k-networks you should check out, like @.enhanet and @.k-labels!

personally speaking, @.chiyuv has released a new hee fic recently that i couldn’t stop raving on about (and her masterlist is extensive so i'm sure you’ll find something you like!). otherwise, off the top of my head, some other really well-loved writers are @.ddeonuism, @.yeongwonie, @.wonvelvet, @.goldenhypen & @.soobnny! if you like smaus, literally anything from @.ddeonuism, @.jayflrt or @.amakumos (but i’m sure you already know about them lmfao). @.seungstarss / @.yunverse isn’t active anymore (hold me i’m going to cry) but her smaus were SO GOOD. also @.bambisgirl isn’t active anymore but her works were >>>

if you still can’t find anything from the above, let me know hehe and i’ll personally try hunt some down for you — especially ongoing / currently active writers since a few of my moots have what look like amazing fics i haven’t gotten around to reading quite yet 😭 just tell me what you like :>

hey alice(can i call you that?) i got to know about the plagiarism situation you faced from sei and im so sad to know that you were lied to and gslit. it was terrible of [beep] to do that to someone, and it's even more disappointing because she doesn't seem to be genuine. the new users on enha tumblr have been turning out to be super untrustworthy. and it's very upsetting to see that people think it's okay to steal from here cause the content is all put out for free and the fact that they "feel bad" only after being caught after constant accusations. personally i have also faced plagiarism and have even caught someone plagiarizing other people and honestly it feels really awful. i can immediately see how these people are not actually always genuinely apologetic rather it's a situation of "oh fk sht i've been caught it's time to hop on to a new blog and a new name" sometimes i feel insecure putting out my works wondering if there's anyone whose using my hard work as their own it's sickening to think they probably have no shame in claiming it as their own and gaining innocent people's trust. idk how many people i trust/follow/look up to or know have scummed to ways of plagiarism but i really hope if they have they stop doing it. and i hope you don't have to come across something like this again. it's less likely though considering the increasing number of incidents coming to light recently. i feel like those who have got caught and deactivated probably could have already made another new blog with a new identity and we don't even know if they on here looking through our blogs, interacting and trying to get moots again. this might be not entirely true but i feel like one among the many reasons could be the average age of our fandom. there are more of minors on here than adults, and that too minors on the younger side as well. it's difficult for some teens to figure out what's not right, one of which is posting someone else's work after modifying it. which is essentially plagiarism but certain minds think of it as not just because they modified it. this is not an excuse or justification but rather im just stating why it could be so casual here. some network admins as well even though putting plagiarism will not be accepted in the rules still keep the guilty ones in the network. i just hope the people who plagiarize and don't feel guilty, someday learn from it. (THAT WAS SUCH A LONG RANT IM SO SRRY I COULDN'T HELP MYSELF😵) hope you're doing okay <33

hihi !! yeonie, right ?? :o i think i’ve seen your jay fic around !! 🤩 and yes ofc you can call me alice 🥰💕 (omfg i thought you meant sei plagiarized and i was about to be like NONONONO) but ahh yes it’s super disappointing :(( this site should just be for supporting each other and creating content that we like. i wish it wouldn’t have to turn into a chore for people to constantly grind out fics, and i feel like that’s another way people start getting into the habit of copying other authors works :/ but i agree, it’s hard to trust because of it but i hope it stops !! 🤧

and i’m so sorry that you’ve experienced that love, no one deserves that :(( did you manage to get them to take it down?? i remember there used to be a wave of people from wattpad plagiarizing several authors from tumblr and putting all of them in a oneshot book <//3 it’s absolutely horrible and i don’t understand why people are so adamant on taking people’s own creative work like that ,, like the amount of thought and dedication that writers pour into their fics just for someone to copy paste 😔
