So I recently started playing Trio of Towns again, which I haven’t touched since 2018. I was bummed because I realized I missed the window to buy the DLC, due to the eShop closing last year. HOWEVER, I noticed during my play through that Woofio had a white flower next to his name (marriage candidate) and a huge chunk of the DLC clothing was available to craft. I was really confused, because I did NOT purchase the DLC. However, upon checking the eShop, it… basically seems like it downloaded it for me?????? Even though obviously the purchase date (1/26/2024) is FAR past the time the eShop stopped letting you purchase software.

TLDR; if you missed the SoS 3oT DLC, boot up your game with the internet connected before that service is shut down. The DLC may be just available for free right now!

If I got anything wrong, please let me know because I’m still confused on what happened. I know for the 1.1 update they released Some of the DLC content for free, which is what I assumed I got at first, but Woofio having the flower really makes me think I was just given the entire DLC package for free last month. (The date on my 3DS clock is wrong, but the purchase date for my account is accurate, as it’s when I started playing 3oT again.) I also checked and I had downloaded the 1.1 update a few years ago so it wasn’t that.

This also makes me curious if any other DLC packages I missed for other games are just… free right now. Fingers crossed!

Oh hey since someone commented on your Varian drawing style I had a problem with how you draw Stephanie (3ot)...Her hair is naturally pink, but when you drew her in the anniversary pic her hair was dyed like her scalp(? Idk how to say it but where her hair is growing) was brown but she said in the game that her hair is naturally pink she got it from her mom

OH RLLY……THATS RLLY INTERESTING I DIDN’T KNOW THAT!!!! honestly for any other media i’d probably be upset about a message like this but tbh i’m autistic enough about trio of towns that i don’t even care. like the fact that this is actually mentioned in game is WAY more intriguing to me

i honestly did not romance stephanie and i’ve never been as attached to her or woofio as i am to the rest of the candidates….(Idk why. ur so cute Sorry stephanie. </3) i did not know this at ALL i honestly just made her design up on the spot for aesthetic purposes…..i do tend to bend the will of canon sometimes for my headcanons but i like to keep them Somewhat grounded especially for little details like that. so. thank you for this information actually. i will commit it to memory :3 /gen

i’ve been putting off drawing human woofio for HOW LONG?! I’m still mad there’s no human sprite for him, like not even as the special CG?! c’mon! Lemme see my beautiful dog husband

anyway I tried my best to make him beautiful, I like to imagine him with big eyes like a puppy. And the blue hair is supposedly canon because his child has blue hair and brown eyes. And I made him tan because I like it, and also with all the time he had out in the sun he’d probably be on the tan side. I *should* have given him work boots, but sneakers are easier to draw ;P. And his gloves are inspired by falconry gloves! 

I was going to do more of his talk sprites but these things take FOR-EVER for me to finish coloring and I got lazy. Maybe i’ll pick it up later and continue, but I wanna draw something else now.
