i can't even like. be too terribly mad about this because 1) it made me laugh, and 2) i Do Not expect the common layman to understand the intricacies of wordpress theme building but. a coworker reached out to me all frazzled bc he bricked a site, like so bad i couldn't log in to poke around. keep in mind he's a comms coordinator. no coding experience. so i looked in the error logs to see how he possibly could have bricked it when he really only interacts with the site on a content level (most coding he does is light html with inline css which can make a site look ugly if it's wrong, but it can't brick it) and GOOD GOD MAN he said he'd edited functions.php using a script he found on stack overflow. i AUDIBLY laughed. boy. that's a load-bearing coconut!!
