Ellas, del otro lado y tan cerca

World Pulse es mi latido de mujeres de todo el mundo desde hace casi 6 años. En esa comunidad virtual he sido mentora editorial y listener (algo así como “interlocutora”) en sus iniciativas de formación, voz colaboradora y, de forma más reciente, encourager. Hoy animo a quienes cuentan su historia a la comunidad internacional que somos a seguir compartiendo sus caminos, a enseñarnos cómo procuran transformar realidades a veces tan pequeñas que nos gritan nuestra fragilidad en la cara.

He escrito también las mías, muy pocas. He sido voluntaria de programas de empoderamiento digital de líderes comunitarias. Me he sentido y me han hecho sentir hermana de vidas fuertes y valientes a miles de kilómetros. Hermana de sus logros, pero también de sus luchas y de sus dudas. He visto surgir voces, las he acompañado en su expresión, y también he sido testigo de alejamientos hacia el silencio por diferentes razones: falta de conectividad, proyectos malogrados, cansancio...

Aprendí de ellas, del otro lado de sus mundos, sobre otras vidas que se asemejan en desafíos y dolores a muchas que he conocido de cerca. 

Las viudas repudiadas y desposeídas, las niñas mutiladas y vulneradas, las mujeres abusadas y silenciadas, los cuerpos como mercancía, la opresión del poder pequeño, la complicidad del poder social, la marginalidad desde el margen. También entendí de razones, de luchas, de sororidad, de intentos por educar, de la fe en la superación. Un poeta que intenta que escribamos para superar traumas de abusos. Una líder que intenta acortar la brecha digital en una choza con piso de tierra. Una chica que se cansa y alza la voz, y mira de frente a todos los que la precedieron, aún desafiando a su sangre. Una profesora que cuenta sobre niñas que usan estiércol o piedras para frenar su flujo menstrual. Esas que encabezan organizaciones para emprendedoras, desde la agricultura hasta las microempresas hogareñas. Y también aquellas que nos recuerdan que muchas veces nosotras somos lobas de épicas de mujeres y paridades.

De alguna forma, cada domingo que termino mi ronda semanal de historias, renuevo una vieja fe. Una que reza que las mujeres somos dueñas de los otros lados de la agenda del mundo, sólo por nuestra fascinación por armar puentes. 

En un encuentro regional de Gobierno Abierto, hace ya varios meses, una hacedora latinoamericana nos decía: “Cuando llego a un pueblo, les cuento lo que hago y me preguntan “¿pero esto me va a ayudar en lo que necesito? No sé qué decirles”.  

Eso somos: las que unen orillas, aún sin saber muy bien qué hacer con el resto del mapa y ni siquiera teniendo todas las respuestas. Tal vez no estemos todas ahí y sea sólo una manía de algunas... pero ese momento en el que está claro que hay un saber para poner al servicio de una necesidad -y que está en nuestras manos al menos intentar hacerlo posible- es el único poder real que conozco.
