Just in time for HALLO….errr I mean “CHRISTMAS!!!” Yeah, it seems early to announce now, but keep in mind that the world has had 2 years of supply chain disruptions and consistently slow delivery from USPS. Everyone is expecting more of that in the near future. Now that that’s out of the way… PINCH ME! I got to collaborate with METALLICA…AGAIN!!! Very stoked to be able to show it off now. When they hit me up they mentioned wanting to also make an ornament to go along with the shirt design. I can now add “ornamentalist” for Metallica to my resume! The irony was that I worked on a Christmas project during the HOTTEST days in July. The project was very fun to do and everyone was easy to deal with. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! This year I’ve had a double helping of hardships. I’m glad that this wasn’t one of them. Also, I can’t thank the #Metallica team enough for tagging and crediting me for the work I did. Īnd sure, you’re going to see a lot of Garage Inc. Honourable mention to their performance as one of the backing bands at the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame 25th Anniversary concert in 2009 where they got to play covers with Ozzy Osbourne, Lou Reed and Ray Davis. We have ignored the Kirk/Rob cover jams from their WorldWired Tour, since for every example where they do something kind of awesome, they completely trash another song. Nor would many of them have ever listened to Nick Cave or some of the other artists below. There came to be a bit of a ‘Metallica effect’ too for these bands: there is no way bands like The Misfits or Diamond Head would be as recognised by metal fans today had the biggest metal band in the world not covered their tunes. They are fond of off-beat covers too, rarely choosing the biggest hit by their favourite bands and looking for moments where they can add their own slant to it. Their earliest gigs included more than one Diamond Head cover and indeed, many of their tour cycles have featured a ‘tribute’ section in the set where they rotate through their cover arsenal, paying respect to those who came before them. I'm a few days late on this!! Happy 100th Birthday to #NOSFERATU!!! . Nosferatu premiered on March 4th, 1922 at the Berlin Zoological Garden, for a large society event - Das Fest des Nosferatu. The movie was directed by #FWMurnau & starred #MaxSchreck. . FUN FACT: The #BramStoker estate sued for copyright infringement & had all but a few copies of the film destroyed. Yet it survived & became part of the zeitgeist of horror films & pop culture. . If you couldn't tell I'm a BIG FAN of classic horror movies... . In 2014, I designed an art print of NOSFERATU for my solo show #SCREAMWITHME at @GalerieF. I drew NOS in profile with another drawing of his skeleton as a #glowinthedark layer. That was a lot of fun (and a lot of work)! Being someone who tries to use every part of the buffalo, I used the artwork for a patch, enamel pin (collab with @yesterdays.co), & a keychain! You can all that in my SHOP! . In 2019, I was commissioned by @kirkhammett and his management to create 2 posters for his #romitsalive at the @romtoronto in Canada! I knew NOS was a favorite of Kirk's so I pitched the vampire lurching over the #RoyalOntarioMuseum with a bunch of bats flying around. It worked! Kirk's social media dude asked if I knew the ROM had a permanent bat exhibit. No, I didn't. I was too dumb to lie. . @dj_jefecita and I got flown out to check out the exhibit and catch Hammett and Rob Trujilo's #theweddingband perform. Funny enough we ended up meeting the guys for breakfast while we were there. They also made ltd edition guitar picks with my art on them! SO CRAZY!!! . As for my answer:

My favorite to design was Snooze. Though Swearwire, Worldwire, and Deltafell Purple Noelle all come pretty close.

My favorite story making wise has to be Soulgrave. With Honeycomb's backstory, Deltafell Purple, and Rulesrune coming close.

Rulesrune dose need some er... changes story wise as I've learned more now and I'll probably revamp it later.

I am a professional character designer now unlike when I made Rulesrune so some updated designs are in order lol.
