Hi, I'm looking for a Sterek fic. I think it starts with Stiles leaving for college and confessing his feelings to Derek who tells him no. Stiles then comes back and Derek, I think at seeing he has a potential SO, tells him yes. They get together but Stiles realizes Derek keeps just saying yes to everything and confronts him so they achieve a more balance relationship. I mostly remember saying yes/no was a big theme. Rec’d by @write2live who says:  So, here’s a rec for you. It’s in the now-classic genre of “Stiles relies on Derek after killing Donovan” fics. It’s got great characterization, dialogue that feels real from Stiles and Derek, and a demonstration of how their antagonism also became a way of showing affection. It also features a top 5 “Stiles yelling about Derek’s ridiculousness” speech. This fic is one I come back to over and over, and I haven’t quite figured out what about it makes me react to it so strongly, but I really enjoy it and am baffled that is has so few kudos.

Okay I cannot for the life of me find this fic. It’s got an Alpha Derek, Peter, and Stiles is Derek’s mate, but Derek of course does not come out and tell him that. He finds out at a pack dinner when he sits at the head of the table and eats second after Derek even though he definitely thought Boyd was supposed to eat second as Derek’s second. (Definitely could have restructured that sentence to not use the word “second” so much.) Also, Stiles hasn’t seen Scott all throughout college because Scott was keeping the werewolf thing from him. And last details: Scott gets in trouble because he touches Stiles too much and Stiles gives a speech at the dinner table and Cora’s like I get why Derek picked him. Hope someone out there has better luck than I have!
