hi!! So in your first post of Canada I saw in the tags of you saying that Can Can likes auntie and I was wondering if you meant that in the ‘friends way’ or ‘crush way’

it’s meant in a “interpret it how you want” kinda way 😌 sometimes I imagine just buddies, sometimes I imagine more, really just depends on my mood for the day; I imagine it to be a ‘was buddies probably once, can easily be again’ between Auntie and Canada; and can probably be expanded on after that 🤔

I been wanting to draw Alaska's auntie again tbh 🐶!! Yeahh I imagine her to be strong, she's lived a long life in the wilderness, she's very self efficient!! She grew big and strong and she made sure Alaska grew up to be too 💪😤 Maine has much respect for her, i'm sure it's easy to tell how Auntie influenced Alaska very much!

Just something easy 😌 because rendering is tough on my wrist sometimes, and I really like Alaska’s Aunite alright!! She may be a real tall lady, taller than Alaska I like to imagine but Kodiak bears yknow, on hind legs get up to 10 feet 🐻 and little itty bitty Alaska so small when he was young!!

I listened to one sad-ish song and now no one gets to be okay for the night 😕 and i also wanted to draw Alaska's auntie again cuz its been a while! She cares for him so so much.. wishes she coulda saved him from all the tough history he endured and lose so much, even himself

Another little itty bitty Alaska moment, cuz he’s been in my head and he’s tiny. Such pinch-able cheeks, I’m sure this still holds up when he is grown, Auntie told me this herself actually and you can believe me

He wandered around so much I like to imagine when he was little, made bear friends who taught him to catch salmon (yes, with his bare hands and teeth) and I like to think he didn’t really talk much either 🤔 probably happens when you spend most your time with animals more than people; little fella was just very curious when he was young!

Aaaa a baby Alaska that baby boy the he the ounce 😱 and… Alaska Auntie,,, I think I don’t draw her enough, and I must get better at it. This one easy just a quick sketch cuz my brain was all over the place today 😠 what!!! Okay. Maybe I was fine and I was just watching a lot of marine documentaries. Mostly whales. Did you know I just have some baleens laying around? Actually that’s not uncommon I’d say for folks up here. Only Alaska natives are allowed to hunt whales thankfully, and I got mine cuz my dad met some guy selling them on the road and he was like yeahh that’s cool. So now we have those. We brought many. I think Alaska has some laying around too.

So remember when I said BC was based off a jellyfish?? Yeah well those are transparent or something so therefore this tattoo of which I kinda wanna redo cuz something’s off 🤨 idk I don’t really like it (no bones cuz jellies don’t have bones) In my girlfriends version he’s actually transparent tho!! I just wasn’t sure which you guys would like better 🤔 I like strange creature tho sometimes cuz it’s fun >:)

Alaska’s Auntie once again 🤯 urhmmm this was also for a more saturated color practice cuz it’s been awhile since I done that or somethin, but I like her <3 she’s like. Pretty cool

Looks like the little one (not itty bitty young alaska) underestimated how tall Alaska’s Auntie is 🤔 I don’t actually have a design for the fella. I just use an old design I made cuz idk 🤷 but surely Ajak needs the rest! Couch/sofa sleeps are a different breed btw they hit very different. Anyways her heart is very busy worrying for Alaska and the little one a lot… I’m sure it can be very exhausting u_u also, I associate her with Wild iris flowers, or bristle-pointed iris, which are purple! At first it was just an association because when I go on my walks I see so many of them, but they also symbolize wisdom and respect… I think Ajak is very wise, I met her myself trust me y'all

(Ax K’eek’ means “my younger sibling” btw) Maybe I forgot to elaborate, but u see when I say the Christian missionary schools and such ruined huge parts of Alaska’s culture and people I mean both Russians and Americans, they both did that to Alaska, so they’ve gone thru it for so so long. I imagine they took Juneau, and from what I read once kids aged out of the missionary schools they’d send the native adolescents to boarding schools in Oregon and Oklahoma, and in my head Juneau at those times was probably physically rather young. So Sitka and Alaska could not find them easily, unfortunately 😔

perhaps their horrific experience may be why Juneau really is uncomfortable with venturing outside that isn’t BC or Yukon, (in Alaska terms the “outside” means anywhere out of Alaska) and also their ritualistic behaviors skyrocketed out of anxiety (from what I read anxiety and stressful events cause them to get worse) anyways 😼 I’ve had these thoughts for awhile, I wanted to get them out

A quick design of Alaska’s auntie 🐟 uhh it may change in future posts tho, but I’m rather content with this one; I like to imagine dark eyes runs thru the family, but maybe Alaska has slightly lighter eyes; is she strong? Hell yes, it’d go crazy I think. Lastly I haven’t yet decided if she’s the sister of Alaska’s dad or mom, hence why Atsak/Ajâtsuk (Ajak)
