Bunny laoshi’s 1005 birthday CPNs Part II 🎂🎉
part one is here. this covers xz studio’s birthday video and all the clownery that came with it. this day is truly for celebration and i hope all of us are gonna have a good day~
Tumblr media
a conversation that’s kinda loud is where the first part of the video was shot, and more importantly, when. because compared to the other sections of the edit, it appears to be his personal time that was added in. and the rest, with them taking photos, those are deliberately for the birthday material.
I thought this was somewhere in IM too, but it’s actually in Beijing. It’s confirmed by the photo he shared on his weibo. The place is at Lianquan Xianggu Natural Scenic Area Tiangong Cave📍Huairou District, Beijing. There are “reviews” from people who visited and said : “Highly recommended as a great place to get close to nature. There are very few people and there are many routes to choose from. No matter what your physical level, you can play!”
Tumblr media
So i guess it makes sense for ZZ to visit. But when was this? I’m seeing 2 speculations on when this could have been. However the common denominator is that WYB was with him in this trip. It’s a place where they will not be recognized that much and no crowds.
OPTION NUMBER 1 : September
The theory is simply lining up the date when they were both in Beijing. GG allegedly went back to Beijing on 9/23 to 9/27 for work. Since he has other commitments other than shooting the movie. If you remember, he had a couple of livestreams and shoots. His schedule lined up with WYB who had no public itinerary on 9/26-9/27. So this could be the time window when they went hiking & exploring. Maybe WYB had his camera with him too and they both took pictures.
OPTION NUMBER 2 : August
This one has more clues to it and the guess is 8/14-8-15 which is free time for both of them. 8/13 was also when the mysterious driver was spotted so there’s that. The one who restored the cake mentioned to count the number of the sheep and it should be 32. Also it’s called something like a Beijing Camping cake and the plan for it ( with photos ) was shared 8/15 since this person didn’t know it’s for XZ. However the“original” one who made the concept is from Hangzhou which I already talked about. There are also posts from other people way before this material came out that they did see XZ around that time in the area. Remember there are some parts of LOCH done in Beijing. Tho they said that the filming site was very strict and closed off.
So anyway, I really believe that this was some sort of a joint celebration for them even it’s not 1005. I mean, why would his cast mates celebrate it with him that early??? Unless they both know that the two of them will be busy in the next couple of weeks so why not celebrate it now. While we’re out here camping 🏕️
Tumblr media
This photo too, when i first saw it i expected for the XZS bday edit to have the scene where they sang for him. BUT NO. They shared a different “birthday moment”. I’m looking at this and thinking — maybe they didn’t want to share this private moment. They are aware of how eagle eyed CPFs can put things together and notice stuff with photos, all the more in a video. I’m leaning more towards the fact that it’s private and they wanna keep this between.
We could all be wrong about this. As with all CPNs, more clues come out as the days & months go by.
Moving on….
Is this the new favorite mini fan? LOL. I mean the CQL couple fan they have will always have a special place but it’s nice to see him have some “upgrade”.
Tumblr media
We are seeing that again! P1 and P3 are a nod to how the sunrise is seen from the space station. P2 which is from XZS video looks like it’s a nod to that too but in a different way.
Tumblr media
The whole feel of the vlog too, some of the cuts have that “Like The Sunshine” vibe to it. It’s a common reaction from some turtles, especially if you put the lyrics side by side with some of the stills. You can easily cut the scenic shots and use LTS as the background music and it will fit.
Tumblr media
Watching the starry sky with the wild beasts. What is your name, in the shadows. Waking up in the night, silent like me. We lit the bonfire while we chatted. Time sneaks by, falling like flower petals
I have traveled a long way, you have dreamed a long time. If we can exchange our sincere hearts, then we can get through winter. Many lonely nights drift like fallen leaves: But it always finds a way and is always new on the branches. We will meet again, like the world will go on as usual
I have a firefly for you in the palm of my hand. It's some happiness picked up along the way. What is your name, how gentle is your name. Please tell me when the night breaks. We lit the bonfire while we chatted. Time sneaks by, falling like flower petals
Tell me this doesn’t match. 🙃🙃🙃 Their works really complement each other.
I can mention some other elements in the video like the windmills again & that cut with the violin/symphonic sound that wyb just mentioned in his vogue interview. I mean, if you clown hard enough I bet you can connect everything to a candy. But the topics I’ve mentioned here are what’s mostly talked about.
-END.
P.S: I can relate to this so much. The state of turtles right now 😂😂😂

oh man i actually just did some more research into zys and the name zheng yisao means wife of zheng, it was a nickname given to her by the people of guangdong, so i was abit wrong in my previous post its most likely shed be called captain zheng or by her whole name zhengyisao, not by any part like yisao. her original name was 石香姑 (shi xianggu) (her birth name was 石陽 shi yang but that would only be use by close family) but she chose to go by her husbands name zheng/colloquial nickname zhengyisao (in china it wasnt/isnt common to take your husband's surname when u get married)

Chinese pirate empress
Tumblr media
This is Zheng Yi Sao (born Shi Xianggu) and she's one of the coolest people who existed in Chinese history.
She started as a courtesan, and then she married a powerful pirate. but he died, she took over, was very good at finances and strategy and rose to power. She did so by proposing a confederation and becoming the pirate leader of the most biggest ship.
She also beat the East India company, the Portuguese people and the great Qing dynasty.

Zheng Yi Sao....
(1775–1844; born Shi Yang, a.k.a. Shi Xianggu or Shek Yeung), also known as Ching Shih, was a Chinese pirate leader active in the South China Sea from 1801[1] to 1810.[2]
Born as Shi Yang in 1775 to humble origins, she married a pirate named Zheng Yi at age 26 in 1801. She was named Zheng Yi Sao ("wife of Zheng Yi") by the people of Guangdong.[3][4] After the death of her husband in 1807, she took control of his pirate confederation with the support of Zheng Yi's adopted son Zhang Bao, with whom she entered into a relationship and later married. As the unofficial commander of the Guangdong Pirate Confederation,[5] her fleet was composed of 400 junks and between 40,000 and 60,000 pirates in 1805.[6] Her ships entered into conflict with several major powers, such as the East India Company, the Portuguese Empire, and Qing China.[7]
In 1810, Zheng Yi Sao negotiated a surrender to the Qing authorities that allowed her and Zhang Bao to retain a substantial fleet and avoid prosecution. At the time of her surrender, she personally commanded 24 ships and over 1,400 pirates. She died in 1844 at the age of about 68, having lived a relatively peaceful and prosperous life since the end of her career in piracy. Zheng Yi Sao has been described as not only history's most successful female pirate, but one of the most successful pirates in history.[8][9]

Hallo, crew! Have you had a gander at casting news and some of those costume workshop photos? Are you itching to start maybe writing yourself some [redacted] ...
...Red Flag Fleet?? Zheng Yi Shao, greatest pirate in history, a pirate empress who with a fleet was composed of 400 junks and between 40,000 and 60,000 crew members???? Let's write her as respectfully and accurately as possible, gang! This is info from a friend of mine, who is a Chinese-Canadian translator and Chinese history and language scholar! I was asking about how to use Zheng Yi Shao's name correctly, and this is what she shared:
Shi Yang is her original name. Zheng Yi Shao (literally Zheng Yi's wife) is what many called her
My opinion is titles should be translated not transliterated because then it is just a bunch of sounds. So people who like work for her or want to show her respect or don't know her well would call her Madame Zheng or a similar title
Ching Shih - Ching is a dated romanization for Zheng and Shih is older romanization for a suffix that just means surname. So just means someone with the surname Zheng in terms of intimate names:
If it is like her husband or close friend then Shi Yang would be fine. A lover could use Xianggu which is like one of the title that refers to her as being a woman but also feels a bit more intimate And in terms of other relatives, older and younger: I don't think you need to get into intimate names and things like that because to do that well would require knowing some Mandarin and mapping out exact relations between the two. That is why it is hard. Like parents might have a name for their child, and an aunt/uncle/grandparent might use another. And if it someone not in the family they might use something else or just the first name or madame.
P.S. I AM NOT GOING TO SURVIVE LESBIAN PIRATES

Doctor Who: Legend of the Sea Devils
I rewatched this story on 30 October 2023. It originally went out on BBC1 over Easter last year.
We begin in an early nineteenth century Chinese village during a storm. A woman strides in, heading towards a statue protected by a serious looking dude. The statue is familiar to Dr Who fans, and the clue’s in the story title: it’s a ‘sea devil’, last seen during Warriors of the Deep back in 1984. And, it being Dr Who, the statue comes to life despite the warnings.
It turns out that the woman was a real historical person, Zheng Yi Sao (1775–1844) (also known as Shi Yang, Shi Xianggu, Shek Yeung, and Ching Shih). She was an immensely successful pirate. In this story, she’s after a lost treasure, and disturbs a bunch of sea devils with frenetic results.
This story is so frustrating. It could have been fantastic, going somewhere the series hadn’t been to before… and instead we get this mess with flashes of what could have been amazing. I think the main problem is they tried to ram far too much into a story. It means the nice bits between the Doctor and Yaz don’t work as well as they really ought.

No one was talking about this and I GOTTA talk about!!! Okay so we all know now that Xi Gu associates the Rose Nubula with his parents which is why he has that big painting/poster of it on his wall. WELL obviously that got added to in this most recent (and perfect) episode. As seen here
Tumblr media
But wait what’s that in the bottom right corner of the picture??? It’s a little symbol. An Aquarius symbol. And obviously from the way that Xi Gu touched the picture after his call with Hao Ting we can infer that the addition of the new poster is related to Hao Ting.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
IN CONCLUSION. Hao Ting is an Aquarius. And at this point (and I know we knew this but) he has become such an important part of Xi Gus life that he has earned a spot next to the symbolization of his parents. And anyways I’m crying. These boys are too SOFT and in LOVE. It’s killing me.
