Batman dejará de proteger Gotham en noviembre

Las consecuencias de "Fear State" llevarían a Bruce Wayne a distanciarse de su ciudad.

Durante las próximas semanas DC Comics comenzará a presentar los títulos que darán forma a “Fear State”, el nuevo evento de las publicaciones vinculadas a Batman. Pero mientras aún faltan varios meses para la resolución de esta nueva trama de las aventuras de Bruce Wayne, la editorial adelantó que todo culminará con el cambio a una base de la historia del Caballero Oscuro.

En el marco de la solicitudes para el próximo mes de noviembre, DC reveló a Batman: Fear State: Omega #1, un nuevo título cuya descripción adelanta que Batman dejará de proteger Gotham después de los eventos de “Fear State”.

“A medida que el Fear State de Gotham llega a su fin, un nuevo día amanece en la ciudad ... uno sin Batman”, dice la descripción del cómic. “Pero la ausencia del Caballero de la Noche no significa que la ciudad esté sin héroes. Únanse a James Tynion IV y Riccardo Federici mientras llevan Fear State a su conclusión e introducen un nuevo status quo que repercutirá en todo el DCU durante los próximos años”.

Por supuesto, esta no será la primera vez que Batman deja Gotham en sus ochenta años de historia ya que incluso en los últimos números de la etapa de Tom King el vigilante pasó un tiempo fuera de su amada ciudad. No obstante, lo llamativo de este nuevo distanciamiento de Batman y Gotham es que Batman: Fear State: Omega #1 promete que la ausencia del Caballero Oscuro tendrá consecuencias para todo el Universo DC.

En ese sentido, otro punto llamativo de este anuncio es la idea de que los aliados de Bruce Wayne se encargarán de proteger la ciudad y todo podría estar vinculado “Shadows of the Bat”, otro evento de los cómics de Batman que arrancará en enero de 2022 y contará con un preludio en el número anual de Detective Comics donde los puntos de vista de Nightwing y Batman chocarán sobre la construcción de Arkham Tower.

Así, aunque por ahora se desconoce qué llevará a Batman a distanciarse de Gotham y cuánto tardará en volver a proteger a su ciudad, cabe recordar que este cambio para el Caballero Oscuro coincidirá con la salida de James Tynion IV de la serie regular del personaje, por lo que perfectamente podría ser la puerta de entrada para un nuevo status-quo.
