What you think of fetus V who said in front of everyone "You seem to really like men" to Jimin? Youthful ribbing? Or a moment of insensitivity ? FWI saying you like girls or guys? Or calling close same sex friends u a couple? is actually common where am from. This has happened in my friend circle too actually. Except all of us are hets so no one take it seriously. Cant think a closeted person would find it that funny. Jimins lack of denial or even laughing it off always stood out to me tho.
What do I think of that comment?
I think we both know very often when people say they think a man likes men, they mean to say they think that man is Gay and very often when the g-word is used in a sentence, it is not meant as a compliment- imma give it to you straight, no bs. Lol.
The parlance gay and variations of it, in my opinion, is often used ubiquitously and traditionally as a slur slang among ignorant, non-progressive, anti homosexual individuals and is often rooted in malice.
And when malice isn't intended, ridicule is. The sad fact is, people adopt the terminology as ammunition to blatantly attack, dehumanize, belittle and strip away the dignity of queer folks and when the term is used in reference to non queer people it has a similar effect. It degrades them as well through the irony and humor of comparing them to gay people.
Gay jokes, if you will, is a subtle art of passive aggressively slurring gay folks if you think about it. I mean let's be honest.
Personally, I don't think Tae's intentions in that moment were malicious at all. I don't think he blurted out those words with the intension to ridicule Jimin either- stay with me. It will make sense in a bit.
But he called Jimin gay nevertheless. His comment if a joke, I'm afraid, reinforces these bizzare stereotypes of masculinity and promotes toxic rhetorics prevalent especially within Kpop shipping communities where every Male idol interaction is hyper sexualised and romanticized thus, suggesting a man cannot love another man, be affectionate or be fond of them unless they secretly lusted after them and harbored a desire to lay down pipes in their behinds- which, honestly is crazy coming from a guy with a cultural background such as the Korean culture where kinship is commonplace but more on that later.
I think whatever which way we want to look at it, it was an insensitive comment especially if you believe he meant it as a joke. It was definitely not his most woke moment, socially and culturally- and that's putting it lightly.
That 'gay' comment to me is right up there with all the problematic statements some, if not all, of the members have made over the years- the colorism, racist jokes, the ' eww, you too black,' 'akekeke- you too tanned shoo,' implying if you're black or tanned you are ugly. The fat jokes, the misogyny and misogynior- please don't ask me to give you examples of these. I don't want to ruin BTS for you. Lol.
There are commentaries on these out there on the internet. You can look it up for yourselves- You welcome. Lol.
For the record, BTS have since retracted, acknowledged and apologized for most of these questionable moments throughout the years and so we cannot hold it against them, forever- not to make excuses for them but they are human too. They learn, they unlearn, they make mistakes, they correct them, they grow and as NamJoon said, they really were a bit 'unsophisticated' and rough around the edges in their earlier years- even if it was just five years ago from now, chilee. They is a mess. Lmho.
I think it's all part of the human process honestly- don't worry BTS, I have a lot of space in my heart for y'all to be human and still love ya. Keep going sweeties. Y'all's doing greatness de la grande kind!! Bless y'all.
In V's case he was, since that incident, put as a judge on a show that allegedly featured queer folks and he seemed more welcoming of them than the other judges on the panel, excluding RM of course.
A year later, he would make a song that the LBGTQ plus fraction of Army would rally behind as a highly pro gay song- Stigma, which I find debatable but whatever. I mean, just because JK has stars, clouds and the sky in his lyrics don't make him an astronaut or an environmentalist fighting the good cause for the climate but to each his own.
Stigma was still something, I'll give him that.
Flashforward to five years later, and he would be recommending songs by gay artists, appreciating and promoting gay art and the artists behind them, sporting rainbow outfits, designing a BT21 character that is genderless, incorporating sign language in his speeches- he polished up. Woke the hell up. Politically correct. Yadda yadda yadda.
I think, like some of the others, he too learned his lesson. It's not ok to trivialize the oppression of others or make light of it-
Now that we've gotten the woke bit out of the way, on to our shipping business. Follow me, chop chop. Lol.
Firt of all, I don't think that moment is a big deal. But I find it interesting nonetheless.
Do I think Tae was teasing Jimin in that moment when he made that statement? It's not quite easy as yes or no.
Personally, I think he was clocking him.
This interview was conducted at a point in the timeline where I feel Jimin was shedding his image as the Maknae obsessed hyung in the group. He was coming into his own and embracing himself for who he is and that I think included his sexuality.
Prior to, he had in my opinion, since debut, slipped into the role of the queer jest of the group supplying queer humor and entertainment for listeners at radio shows by offering himself up for ridicule as the 'gay guy' within the group- I hated every bit of it. Lol.
You'd often hear the members refer to him as the one good with the guys, the boy in love with the Maknae- There is still a fraction of Army that see him as this persona but he has since outgrown that label and that phase.
RM was basically the Black jest of the group, offering himself up for ridicule for his darker skin tone right down to his blaccent. Can you do your black accent? They will ask him at interviews and he would proceed to deliver a walmart version of the Black American English. Sigh.
Compared to the previous year where he literally gasped and panicked when the members hinted at his sexuality or made statements that put his sexuality into question, Jimin seemed more in control and mentally prepared during this interview.
When the question was asked of him, the question of why he liked JK, his instincts it seemed was to steer the conversation away from his sexuality- a tactic the rest of the members would employ to avoid discussing Jikook a few months from that interview...
I mean, when Tae asked Jimin on JK's birthday that same year what he wanted to give JK, RM cut in before JM answered. Jimin had done the same thing when in an interview JK was asked if Jimin wasn't his style and JK was stuttering not knowing what to say in response. JM asked him not to answer the question.
When interviewers ask these questions, they do so for entertainment purposes- because who doesn't like gay jokes, amirite?
For heterosexual idols I assume it's not slippery slope for them to engage in these kinds of humor. They can play gay without risking exposing their heterosexuality and when they do play gay it's for jest.
It's not the same for queer idols I think.
Jimin was basically done being the butt of the gay jokes in 2015, he was done selling himself as the JK shit rainbows and I'm the unicorn fixated on him kinda person and it reflected in that conversation.
'I don't like everything about this boy. He ain't all that. But he is the Maknae and he cute so whatever' lol.
Like I said, I think Jimin was steering the conversation away from his sexuality but Tae's comment steered the conversation right back to it. 'I just think he likes men.'
Most South Koreans I've met in person and on the internet spend a considerable amount of time and energy trying to dispel the western notion of gayness projected on to Korean men for their skinship culture.
We like to glamorize gayness in these streets but in reality gay is stigmatized especially in places like South Korea. People don't readily read gay in Male interactions unless they were being homophobic or socially unaware.
To me, Tae's statement was more of an observation about Jimin, one which he felt a need to contribute to the discussion they were having, perhaps to provide insight into the inner workings of Jimin rather than as a joke or jest- or may be he did both.
Jimin managed to avoid opening himself up for the gay jokes and to this Tae then responded, I just think you is gay sir- The emphasis has been mine. Lol.
The thing about Tae is, in the earlier days he used to have a habit of 'exposing' Jimin whenever Jimin told half truths and what not.
For example, in 2014 during an interview when JM was asked what he wanted to do on his free days he had said he wanted to spend time with his family or something and Tae immediately checked him saying he was lying. Jimin then said he wanted to be with Jungkook which had JK fuming.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Was he teasing JM when he called him out for lying about his true desires? May be but I think he meant it too. Know what I mean?
He did the same thing when during their Paris VLive, Jimin got nervous when JK was singing 'know you love me boy, so that I love you,' in the background and Tae asked Jimin if he was nervous. Jimin snapped out of whatever whipped trance he was in and asked 'why would I be nervous' or something along those lines.
Why would Tae assume JM was nervous listening to another man sing? And why would Jimin be nervous in the first place?
And if at an interview Jimin is asked, why don't you like listening to the Maknae sing and JM responded that he is cute but he can't sing and Tae says well I think listening to Jk sing makes him nervous- would that be youthful ribbing or tea? Do you see where I'm going with this?
I see Tae as very observant- If not more observant than Jk. Their jokes are punchier because it is rooted in truth. He is stating his opinion, his observations and when he felt JM's answers were dishonest or inconsistent of his general notion of him, he called him out on that.
It's like him saying JM likes to pretend to be drunk in order to tell Tae he loves him- allegedly. Was it funny, yes. Was it a lie? I don't think so.
Jimin likes to pretend, we been knew. His boyfriend don spilled that tea already. I mean Jk said JM faked being asleep when he noticed the cameras filming him. He said also JM knows he is cute so sometimes he intentionally acts cute.
Tae used to tease Jimin a lot- hell he still teases him a lot to this day. Lol. Had Jimin looking at the back of his head like he wanted to quick punch him in the throat in the recent run, chilee. Lmho.
But you gotta ask, where is the lie in all those jokes?
The question I ask myself, and I think we ought to ask ourselves as shippers is, what about Jimin gave Tae that impression of him in the first place?
What made Tae, coming from a culture and background where 'gay' is a taboo and skinship is prevalent assume that if Jimin liked JK then it was because he liked men or was gay?
Even if Tae meant it as a Joke- no one laughed. Lol. That awkward silence that ensued... now that's how you know he had deadass made a 'gay comment' for real. Lmho.
They were all silent, waiting for JM's response and only laughed when JM responded to Tae- isn't that how it usually goes when you are the one queer person at the het dinner table? The tasteless jokes, awkward silences and stares? Just me? Oh, never mind then. Keep reading. Lol.
Imagine if JM hadn't responded or had gay panicked like he did a year before that interview, when RM revealed JK had been sneaking into JM's bed at night?
Dude was legit ready to throw JK under the bus had it not been for the shady camera guy behind the cameras. Deadass, Jimin was pointing accusing fingers at JK and everything- so much for gay love. Lmho.
The question still remains, what makes you look at your heterosexual friend and go- hey, that's gay. Think about it.
If Tae thought Jimin liked men, even as a joke, it's probably because Jimin had been giving him a reason or reasons to believe he actually liked boys beyond the usual daily doze of gay prevalent within K-culture.
It's similar to JK feeling uncomfortable when Jimin in 2014 described their relationship as one between love and friendship. Jimin responding with male friends can love eachother too without being gay would imply JK was interpreting his words and actions towards him as laced with romantic and sexual subtext or intent.
Now why would JK assume this if men touching men and feeling up on eachother in their culture was a normal thing?
There are gay men in Korea you know?
Tae and Kook were both hyper aware and curious of Jimin's sexuality in that period- for different reasons of course. In my opinion.
Not sure if Jimin's androgynous features played a role in these suspicions and assumptions they had of him in the early days because androgynousity in men is often ignorantly profiled and stereotyped as queer.
Tae seemed convinced JM was queer at least and JK was projecting his own queerness on to Jimin a lot- cough, cough.
It seemed to me also that Tae for whatever reason had the impression JM had a thing for him? I'll save my VMin agenda for delulu Fridays but chilee I don't know, Jimin has been on an agenda to friendzone that man since those manly mans thawed off his chest. Lol.
VMIN... ok.
I mean Jimin's response to Tae was more to deflate Tae's ego than to deflect or evade the issue and I wonder why. 'You are so full of yourself' 'I may like men, but I don't like you' and Tae responds with 'really' as if he's been challenged or dared- ever had your straight friends assume you like them just because you are queer?
Anywho, for whatever reason, Jimin seemed to be the only member in the group around the early days whose words and actions were put through the queer litmus test.
Also, I think a distinction ought to be made between calling two same sex friends a couple and calling them gay.
Calling two friends a couple is inconsequential- except when their sexuality is on the line. Calling two same sex friends you know are straight a couple is nothing but a gay joke.
BTS do this all the time. Jimin called Namjin a couple, Tae kook a couple, himself and Suga a couple, himself and JK a couple.
Jk has equally referred to others within the group as a couple, made heart signs above them, and have even held his chest and said he never thought he would fall for a guy.
In none of these instances did he or any of them imply that they or the persons they were referring to were queer or liked men and I wouldn't make much of such comments.
When JK was called out for gifting a present to Jimin and not the others, Tae teased JK as well and his gestures implied to me, 'it's ok to like him, I know you like him, you like JM don't you, uWu' and other variations of these.
But he in no way hinted at the sexuality of JK explicitly or implicitly- not in a way that prompts a response or rebuttal from JK like it did in Jimin's case.
I guess what I'm saying is that, that moment is nothing but something at the same time. You look at Tae's personality and his reputation within the group as the one with no filter who blurts out things that often has BTS running helter skelter- that 'I want to see your children" comment at Festa almost gave RM an aneurysm. Lmho.
Then they had to literally take his mic away from him when he started talking about meeting a pretty chick or something at a fansigns.
You consider the history between him and Jimin, the context behind that comment and the things that was said after that comment- the interviewer said 'well JK is really handsome...' which means he took the 'joke' Tae had made to mean JM had romantic interest in JK- something I feel JM was trying to avoid.
I don't think Tae meant anything by it. I don't think he knew at the time JM was queer but I do believe he suspected he was.
Hope this helps,
Signed,
GOLDY

A/N: howdy partners! heard we needed some gay round’ these slasher parts.
sidney prescott x fem!reader x tatum riley         ft. that’s it …. that’s the whole concept
Tumblr media Tumblr media
                                                     ——————–
You've been best friends since childhood.
First day of kindergarten and for some reason another kid hones in on you as the perfect, defenseless target to pick on. The teacher hadn't noticed all day and you were just at the edge of patience for a little girl who was already missing being at home with her parents.
Your bully kicks over the sandcastle you're making and you burst into tears. Tatum comes out of nowhere and shoves the kid into the dirt.
While little Tatum is throwing hands little Sidney is kneeling beside you, wiping at your tears with chubby fingers and cooing at you the way her Mother coos at her whenever she's upset.
Y'all are friends for life after that. The three amigos. The dynamic trio. Inseparable in every-way through any and all the trials of getting older and learning who you are.
Growing up isn't very glamorous but it sure feels that way when you've got a girl group like yours behind you. Utter squad goals.
Tatum was your first kiss because you were confessing to being too nervous to go to your first guy/girl party without having been kissed yet (in case you played spin the bottle).
Tatum, who'd already gotten her first kiss offered to give you, yours! Best friends gotta look out for each other, right? It was sweet and short at age thirteen and you both blushed afterwards. Not much changed after that although sometimes you stare at each other in ways you hadn't before.
Has Tatum's hair always been so shiny, you wonder to yourself as you brush it for much longer than needed at one of your many, weekly sleepovers. You like how she rests her head on your thigh whenever you do it (even though that messes up the other side you just got done brushing).
Had your lips always looked so soft, Tatum thinks to herself as she helps you apply the sheer lip-gloss that your parents are finally letting you wear.
One summer, the summer before you all start highschool, Sidney comes to you both freaking out. In highschool you go on dates, right? You go on dates, and you get boyfriends, and everyone knows what their doing?!
You're Sidney's first kiss. Tatum looks at you and jerks her head towards Sidney like, "well         go on! it's your turn!". You offer and Sidney stops freaking out to ponder that. She doesn't think on it long before she nods eagerly and thanks you for helping her.
You feel like you should be the one thanking her when you lean in to kiss her and she kisses back. She's a natural. When you both pull away a dreamy sort of sigh escapes the two of you at the same time. "Jinx!" says Tatum, and the soft energy in the air doesn't fade, just moves to encompass her too.
That summer you all go on "practice dates" together so you'll know what you're doing by the time you start dating for real. Tatum suggested them and you all went along with it instantly.
Tatum always seems like the most grown-up of the three of you. The most self-assured of how to be a woman. You tend to follow her lead on these type of things.
The practice dates are fun. More fun than you've ever had together. You all start holding hands more. Sitting on each other's lap more. Cuddling closer together when you watch movies. Complimenting each other more quietly. Sharing drinks more often and pretending you can't taste each other's chap-sticks on straws when your drink finally gets passed back to you at the table. You giggle more around each other and sometimes can't even look each other in the eyes without sweet laughter filling the air.
But summer ends. You get to highschool and the practice dates stop. Now you can all go on real dates. What's the point of practice anymore        you should all be experts by now! You're all secretly sad about the ending of this tradition and don't want to think about why.
You all start to discover the joys of highschool, popularity, and boys. Some friendships fade with highschool. Yours gets stronger. Tatum develops an interest in athletics and you and Sidney show up to cheer her on no matter what sport she's playing this time around.
You try not to stare at her as she gets redressed in the locker room so you and Sidney can take her out to celebrate her big win. When you go to look away you catch Sidney doing the same. You stare at each other before smiling sheepishly, clearly you both feel guilty about something. You don't talk about it.
You start wanting to talk about it.
Sidney starts dating bad boy Billy Loomis. Tatum doesn't hate him at first       just strongly dislikes him. Until she realizes how much you hate him. Best friends hate people together! You don't tell Sidney you hate him because she tells you both she thinks she loves him.
"Do you think she meant it?" You ask Tatum as you're laying side by side in bed together one night. Sidney doesn't often cancel plans with you to be with Billy. In fact she almost never does. But she did tonight and something in you feels like it's breaking. "Do you think she loves him?"
You start crying and you don't even understand why fully. Until you do. Tatum seems to realize why at the exact same moment. And it strikes a chord in her as well. She kisses your forehead and rocks the two of you. The hug feels lonely. It's missing a person. Tatum nearly cries herself, it’s a narrowly avoided thing.
Billy starts treating Sidney badly. He was never the greatest boyfriend but before he wasn't bad. It's a sudden change and now you both shamelessly express your dislike of him. Even going so far as to ignore him when you're all unfortunately forced to be around each other because of Sidney. You'd both do anything for Sidney. Including tolerating Billy         but not if Billy starts being an asshole to her.
Meanwhile you and Tatum have started hanging out more. Those times when Sidney isn't around stop feeling so empty. You want her there with you. You want her there with you both so badly. But Tatum is starting to hold your hand more. You start to cuddle closer together when you watch movies. She starts twirling your hair around her fingertips and leaning into your space more.
She kisses you in the middle of you saying something one day and neither of you pull away for a long time. You don't act shocked. You don't feel shocked. Part of you always knew.
You drag her down for another kiss and she laughs against your lips. It's just the two of you. Just a regular sleepover. So she's not wearing her usual make-up. Already wiped it all off earlier. All she's wearing is her favorite chap-stick. The same chap-stick she used to wear during all those practice dates she took the three of you on. You hum at the taste.
The next day you hold hands coming to meet Sidney. Billy is with her and Billy's shadow       Stu, is with him. The two of you aren't waiting to see if this is how you really feel. If you’ll change your mind. You're not worrying about how this will effect your friendship. You know this is perfect.
Sidney sees there's something different in the way you're looking at one another instantly. She doesn't hesitate, just asks the question, "Are you two      ?" and she trails off, eyebrows raised.
"Yeah," Tatum answers confidently, dragging you closer and cinching your hips together. "Yeah we are. Who are you gonna give the shovel talk to, Sid?"
And like that you're all laughing and hugging. Sidney congratulating you joyfully. You can't see it on her face but something inside her feels ....unhappy. She doesn't know why. Billy wraps an arm around her once you all pull apart. You and Tatum scowl at him.
You'd forgotten he was there. You also forgot Stu was there. You remember when he starts to say something gross and vaguely insulting but never gets to finish. Tatum swings her purse at the side of his head and she's got excellent aim. You laugh and lean in to kiss her cheek. You leave a lipstick mark behind and she doesn't wipe it off.
Sidney's Mom is murdered and everything goes topsy-turvy. Most teenagers get an easier introduction to death. To realizing they're not immortal and neither are the people they love. Sidney got a crash-course and so did the two of you by proxy.
Sidney doesn't leave her room for days after the funeral. You two have to go and get her. For the first time in your lives she doesn't run to you when something is wrong. This time you have to go after her. You don't mind. There are more difficult labors of love you could be performing besides chasing after somebody when they really need you.
She doesn't unlock the door when you ask her to so you and Tatum climb through her window. Neither of you are very graceful doing it. It's your first time. She would've laughed if she wasn't so heartbroken.
She cries in your arms and you hold her. You both hold her cause what else can you do? She falls asleep clinging to you both like you might disappear any moment. You and Tatum kiss each other because nothing puts love into perspective like death. Tatum tells you she loves you and you echo it back softly. Sidney lies still between you two, cradled in your arms. Safe there. You both stare at her. Then each other. You both know you love Sidney too. You kiss again and go to sleep.
Months pass by and things are ....getting back to normal. As normal as can be. People stop looking at Sidney like she's a walking puzzle to figure out or magazine to read. Time dulling the interest. What time can't do you and Tatum do. You've shoved more than one gawking passerby out of Sidney's way. Tatum may or may not have assaulted a few cameramen. You may or may not have made out with her to reward her. This is your new normal.
Billy starts pressuring Sidney to have sex and she makes excuses for him. You and Tatum don't. In fact this is your breaking point. You're the one to explode. Billy Loomis sucks ass and isn't worth anything more than the gum I got stuck to the bottom of my heel last week. You don't know what's said after that or who said it but it starts a fight. The first one you guys have had in forever. But your all best friends and have always talked through what your feeling. No one is allowed to storm out.
"What is this really about?" Sidney demands, even though it is really about Billy. Billy the shitty boyfriend. Billy who you don't trust. Billy who she's in love with when she should be in love with
Tatum makes you sit down. She makes Sidney sit down. Then she sits in-between the two of you and takes both your hands. She confesses for the two of you. Always the more grown-up of your trio. Always a few steps ahead. Even now it seems. She’s so calm and so sure of herself as she talks ---- it makes you love her even more, if possible.
Sidney is confused and emotionally vulnerable and you tell her you don't want to pressure her. That you'd never want to pressure her. And that's why you're so worried about Billy. What the fuck is wrong with him? He knows what she's been through. What she's going through and he can still act like this? The guy has to be a psycho, Sid!
She laughs and you all hold each other. Just three best friends talking about a shitty boyfriend. No weight on your shoulders because now Sidney knows and that's enough. More than enough.
She breaks up with Billy. Billy causes quite the scene over it. Tatum ends the scene by threatening to knock his teeth out his head.
You guys make a new normal. The three inseparable amigos are back. Except you and Tatum are a couple now. And you're both a little (a lot) in love with Sidney. And sometimes Sidney wiggles her way in-between the two of you ---- not like you're making her feel like a third-wheel ... but like she just wants to be there. You and Tatum don't talk about it because you don't want to get your hopes up.
Sidney starts kissing you guys hello and goodbye instead of just hugging you like she used to. First on the cheeks and then the kisses get closer and closer to your lips as the days go by. It's a gradual thing and you both let her go at her own pace.
When she does finally kiss you, you find she still uses the same chap-stick she did when she was younger. Just like Tatum. You laugh and bring it up to Tatum when you guys are gushing over Sidney alone that night. Guess not everything changes, Tatum smiles even as she crawls on top of you ready to get her own echo of Sidney's taste (she imagines kissing you both directly after you've kissed one another and melts on top of you like butter at the thought).
You're not exactly a couple but sometimes you all kiss. You and Tatum treat her like you treat each other. The night she calls you her girlfriend's for the first time is the same night poor Casey Becker dies a violent, senseless death.
You all had fallen asleep together, exchanging sleepy kisses late into the night. You arrive at school all holding hands and your peaceful little world comes crashing down. Police. News reporters. Cameras. Randy is the reason you find out what's going on. Runs up to the three of you like a mad man and tells you the whole thing. You all feel sick.
This couldn't be happening at a worst time with the first anniversary of Sidney's mother getting killed right around the corner. You hold each other's hands tighter and don't let go. Not when busy-body Gale Weathers sticks her nose where it doesn't belong. Not when Billy and Stu        who for some reason you all still hang out with (the joys of highschool cliques and getting used to them), say some things at lunch that are unsettling.
Sidney and you go to her house to pack up her things so she can stay with Tatum until her Dad gets back. Tatum is late to picking you two up but you both don't mind much. Just fall asleep on the couch together cuddling.
You're the one who answers the phone at first and you hang up having no patience for Randy and his games. Sidney picks up the phone when it rings next and she talks on it for awhile before her face suddenly goes ashen. When you're both attacked by the killer you fight like hell to protect each other. You jump out the window to get away and you call the police from your cellphone as you go. As you're running up the road to escape who do you run into but Billy Loomis        the police, Dewey in particular arrive at that very moment and Billy is in handcuffs faster than he can blink.
You get another call while he's in jail and the three of you are now at Tatum's. She'd been tough as nails when she'd gone to pick you both up from the police station. When the phone rings and she sees Sidney's face go pale from fear she starts crying as she screams for her brother to "get his ass in here now!". The killer hangs up and you're all left terrified and wondering how you're going to keep each other safe.
Stu is throwing a party and Tatum thinks there might be safety in numbers. She also thinks you and Sidney need to be normal teenagers for a bit. She can tell how shaken you both are from the attacks and bullshit. It's hard to say no to her when she goes all soft and worried at the edges. You go to the party.
Everything is normal and Dewey is there to make sure everything is safe. Stu asks Tatum to go grab some more beers and she scoffs but goes to do it anyway, giving you and Sidney kisses on her way out the room.
You sit with an arm around Sidney for a moment but something is wrong. Off. It's only been a few minutes but Tatum shouldn't be taking that long at all. You get up thinking she must need help and Sidney watches you go but is talking to Randy and actually relaxed for once. You don't know that someone else is watching you as you get up that's not Sidney.
You arrive in the garage just in time to see the killer cut Tatum's arm. You don't even think before you're launching yourself onto their back screaming bloody fucking murder. Arms around their neck you intend to choke the bastard.
You struggle and can hear them start wheezing. They run backwards and ram you into the refrigerator. You hit your head hard enough so that your vision spins but you don't loosen your grip. In fact you start punching them.
They might be strong but you and Tatum are pissed off girlfriends and there is strength in numbers. She grabs a golf club and hits them in the knee with it so fucking hard you think you hear it break, they drop the knife and scream in pain. Tatum is about to grab the knife right before she's tackled by       Stu?!
You're on top of the killer's back and confused as you watch Stu start to put his hands around Tatum's throat. You scream, panicked as it starts to click in your dizzy head. You don't know what to do.
You're barely managing to keep the killer underneath you from getting back up. Tatum's head is turned towards you and she's reaching out for you, mouth moving but no sound coming out. You know she's begging for help. You start to cry and try to fight the one killer underneath you to the ground harder. But it's no use. You're not strong enough. They have you pinned to the ground and have started slamming you into it. Over and over again. Your head feels like it's going to explode. You reach up trying to do anything at all to stop them. You were aiming for a punch but they jerk their head back and all you manage to do is grab their mask. It comes off as your hand comes back down.
Stu didn't close the door all the way. Randy and Sidney and a few of your other classmates run in. They heard the screaming      they heard the fucking screaming. You could start laughing with joy and relief.
Sidney makes a an enraged scream that doesn't sound quite human. Her entrance had distracted you. You look back up at the killer hovering over you. Their mask is in your hand still. Face revealed for everyone to see. Billy Loomis. Before anyone can stop her she makes a running leap for him and knocks him off you. She's a vicious animal as she punches and kicks at him endlessly. You turn your head to see Randy and a guy you don't know the name of starting to drag Stu off of Tatum who is wheezing and coughing but still alive. You're groggy as you crawl your way over to her and hold her. She sobs a little when your arms wrap around her but she clings to you instantly.
Sidney is still hitting Billy and someone has to drag her off. Billy doesn't move when she's pulled away. Just curls in on himself in pain.
Dewey bursts into the room at that very moment. Another one of the party-goers having run to get him. Gale Weathers is following close behind with her stupid fucking cameraman. The garage is a mess. Sidney Prescott is fighting to try and escape the arms around her so she can "fucking kill you! I swear I will!". She only stops fighting because she registers the sounds of her girlfriends crying.
When she's released she power slides across the floor to you and cradles you both, kissing any bit of you two she can get her lips on. She's cooing at you the same way she did that first day she and Tatum rescued you from the bully who kicked over your sandcastle. It's soothingly familiar in the worst moment of your life.
Sidney's father is found in the house, alive. Billy and Stu are a flurry of rage as they're dragged away in hand-cuffs. Tatum's already going to be hoarse for weeks but she still takes the time to scream "fuck you both to hell and back!" as they're thrown in the back of a police car.
You all ride in one ambulance to the hospital together. Sidney uninjured but rescuing to leave the two of you. Fuck police questions she has to look after you two.
You and Tatum get put in one hospital room. Dewey and Gale Weathers somehow saying the right thing to somebody about "traumatized teenage girls needing each other right now-". You all cry together after the doctors are gone. But you're all alive. A little beat up     but alive. Sidney holds both of your hands and you fall asleep quickly. A sweet mixture of hospital pain medication and knowing Sidney is there watching over you and Tatum, and thus, that you're going to be just fine.

FEEL & THEN HEAL
I cannot stand these want to be gangsters. The people who think they have some kind of power by being drug dealers and thugs. Man I get the idea "it is a way to survive" and in a lor of cases it is, but only because all these people have the same mindset. There is no glory in being a thug, just get your act together man, you are an adult. This is real life, this isn't some fucked up video game. If you honestly think that your life is more valuable than anyone else's, that just because you have some superiority complex that makes you feel like you somehow have the upper hand, you are part of the problem. Just because you sling guns, and fight doesn't make you cool, nor make you powerful. I am getting to the point that I cannot stand being in this town anymore. It is like people think this is a game, that people's lives are expendable for their own selfish aims. Live your God damn life and leave other people out of it.
You have a problem with somebody that doesn't involve them physically harming you, then maybe you should reflect on your own behavior. Half you people blame everybody else for your problems, half of you sit there and just continue to make the same mistakes and then when something goes haywire and you end up in jail for your own stupidity you blame everybody but yourself. This no snitch culture is childish, maybe take responsibility for your own God damn actions. I am sick and tired of people ruining other peoples lives because theirs aren't going the way they want. Like fuck just grow up. This isn't a god damn game, nobody else matters but yourself, instead of focusing on what other people are doing with their lives, focus on building your own. I mean damn you don't have to sell hard drugs, you don't have to try to be some hard ass to make a statement. I mean fuck... i went to school with most of you people and to see how fucked you made your life just gives me every more reason to fucking leave. You guys don't know how to live in the real world. Y'all say the real world isn't fun and games, and you are right, it is a dangerous place because people make it that way. People are the root of all of it, and you have the ability to make your life better if you just fucking try, accept your part in all of it, and realize that maybe it could go better if you stop holding grudges, stop making the same mistakes over and over, and instead find peace of mind in knowing it doesn't have to be a fucking struggle everyday. You are making it that way. Your thoughts, your energy, all of it is causing fucking chaos. Nobody else has an effect on your life if you don't let them, if you focus on your own issues and heal and grow then nobody else matters.
This isn't fucking fantasy land, this isn't some game of power, it is a game of personal discovery and if you spend your time playing in competition with everybody else, then it makes sense why your life keeps falling apart. You are the cause of all of it, you are the one that fucked it all up just accept that. You made the decisions that put you where you are right now. You let other people control how you see the world, and when everything gets all jumbled and you can't find your way out who do you blame? Never yourself, you never take responsibility because then you must accept that you are the problem, and in your skewed fantasy land that must be impossible.
I walk around this town and I see so many defeated faces, people who want to give up, or already have. They let their bad decisions guide them, and they let their negative thoughts and patterns hold them hostage. I want nothing more than to watch people flourish, if you have done me wrong, even if you wronged me I still want to watch you grow and heal so you don't live a life feeling like everyday is a struggle. I want you to stop blaming other people and start moving on with your life, in a direction of self discovery. To just sit there and watch people destroy their lives, to watch them do the same fucked up things over and over and to see their pain when nothing changes. That shit hurts me, it hurts because I know how hard it is to get out of a cycle like that, but I also know that you are the arbitrator of your own life and if you continue to put energy out into the world that does nothing more than tear you down then you will never escape the cycle. The key to all of it, the key to releasing your pain is accepting that you feel it. Growing with it. Instead of harboring all that existential guilt about how you aren't where you want to be, find where you need to be. Happiness is a mindset, and to ignore the fact that you don't find happiness, that you create it, you will live a life of dread.
This town is full of broken spirits, broken dreams, broken promises, and broken lives. As I look into the eyes of all those around me I see their pain, I see all the things they hold hostage in their hearts and minds, that they refuse to see within themselves. So many people I have watched fall apart, who continue to dig their own graves and blame everyone else as it continues to get deeper, as if they aren't the one holding the shovel. Our minds are more powerful than we have been lead to believe, our thoughts create our reality and if you believe something to be true about yourself then it is true. You are the creator and destroyer, yet none of us see that. We only see what we allow the illusion of our self identity/ego to show us only as much as we want to. I wish within everything in my bones that one day people will wake up, that they will see their own personal destruction, find a way to build it back up from the ground up. Fix what has been broken and find the beauty in repairing it.
Too many people let their struggle define them, they use what has occurred in their life as a piece of their personality, until all that is left is the pieces of a long drawn out defense mechanism. It gets to the point where they are only defensive because they don't know how to be anything else. Then with the aid of drugs and other mind altering substances that people rely to heavily on, people lose their grip on what they are meant to be doing. Am I saying that their is some divine path people must take? In my own personal belief system yes, but in regards to the lives of others that path I am referring to is nothing more than a path of healing. It is about finding yourself again and the longer it takes, the harder it becomes to see through the illusion you have created. There is nothing glamorous about wanting to struggle, and if most of you continue as you have that is all that will manifest. You can try to convince yourself that you are trying your hardest to free yourself, but if you are not healing from your past nothing is going to change. Nothing will get better and you will find yourself in a constant cycle of swimming up to the top only to be dragged back down because although you fought tooth and nail to the surface, you didn't untie all of the cinder blocks that keep dragging you down to the depths. Why make the struggle to the top harder than it already is?
This life is about letting go of control, you cannot control the circumstances or the outcome, you can only control yourself. Stop letting the false ideas of other people hold you down, when a plant grows it loses the leaves that no longer serves them, and it grows new ones in their place. You need to let go of the things that keep you from fully blooming into your full potential.

BNHA Prompts I want to read/write
>Ghibli AUs- literally any of them would be great but especially Princess Mononoke rn
>Rival School Gang AU- Bakusquad gang vs Dekusquad gang. Don't fuck with Uraraka bc she’ll wreck you w a smile. also Deku totally is one of those people who angry cries. Drama ensue when canon villains are really just out of town school gang that tries to take over their town and squads gotta unite whether they like it or nah. Featuring all might, Aizawa, and co as concerned teachers, detectives and whatnot that just wanna see these kids safe and sound
>Uraraka grew up on wrong side of the tracks AU- doesn’t necessarily have to be completely au, just that Uraraka growing up poor incorporating some of the less glamorous parts of being poor so she’s seen shit and done shit and wants to do good for the world now so no one else has to go through what she went through. I just want this to be a part of her character background so bad. Just scenes with her encountering villains or smalltime gangs and being like “dude we were neighbors I went through the same shit you did fam. Don't do this.”
>Uraraka using her anti-gravity quirk to do what hulk did to Loki in the first avengers movie and everyone being fuckin SHOOK. (can you tell who one of my main faves is yet? lol)
>A fic about ua kids literally being that, Kids. Shenanigans, Movie nights to binge the Rocky series only to end up too pumped to sleep so they all start training like crazy(Bakubro included), youtube channels, Todoroki secretly being messy af and joining the Tea Party where the ladies plus Todoroki spill tea and throw shade EVERYWHERE (all the best news comes from there), Bakugo growing and awkwardly trying to show his appreciation for his classmates and also awkwardly trying to mend his relationship with Deku (teen angst at it’s best and Deku is unsure of how to handle it but Uraraka and Kirishima help the dumbasses), Mina and Uraraka explore their sexuality together bc fuck you if they aint bisexual queens at the very least, Uraraka being one of the few willing to back talk Bakugo so she passive aggressively gives him nicknames like he gives her until he starts calling people by their names(like sweetie bc his sweat smells like burnt caramel, he calls her peaches sometimes bc of her country accent and a couple of other things if ya know what I mean) and eventually the whole class gets in on the nicknaming stuff and Bakugo is Sick Of People Stealing His Shit, Urarakas twang and Todoroki’s education in modern slang because explaining to him what being messy means and spilling tea is funny af (he starts using it all the time in a super awkward way “I believe that this situation calls for some messy retaliation” with long deadpan stares), how many of these kids can't wink and just give you long awkward blinks, teacher appreciation day gifts that get all the way out of hand (Aizawa gets the benign noise cancelling headphones and death wish coffee and then someone sends him a bottle of tequila and he wants to know which fucking child got a hold of alcohol to both admonish and thank them. Poor all might gets all the medicine, who’s idea was it to give present mic a loud mic and youtube channel why he’s already too loud please make it stop), someone gives Bakugo spicy chocolate cookies for valentines day and he doesn't want the sentiment but hot damn those cookies are fucking delicious, the kids get into American music because present mic recommends it to help with learning English and that's all fine and dandy until the kids start hosting death matches with Denzel curry’s Ultimate as the match song and wow how many of these songs have so much profanity please stop (just because you’re swearing in English kids doesn't mean some people still won’t know you’re swearing), Sex Ed Class for the kids (wow what trauma, what drama, Aizawa you are not giving the sex ed seminar they will get too scared. you will monitor Midnight as she gives the lesson. All might go have a cup of tea and try not to think of the kids having sex because golly they’re all still wee babes), Teachers shipping students and other staff lounge gossip, Spin the bottle truth or dare where the dare is always make out with the people you want to fight, Momo is cleaning out her closet and giving away clothes so please let the mad fight over who can get more clothes from her giveaway ensue(Uraraka is poor and on a mission, who know when she’ll be able to get clothes as nice as these again? she might enlist the help of some of her guy friends and she might also float all the clothes she wants to the ceiling out of reach of anyone else), BNHA girls using snapchat and momo’s closet to recreate Beyonce music videos and killing it (I really just want to see 7/11, the suck on my balls shtick, and Sorry because it’s a whole lotta friends hangin out and being sassy), WHO LET THESE KIDS WATCH South Park.  y’know. Shit like that. Wow this bullet point got way out of hand.
>Night Vale AU 1- Fuck you it’s Tododeku. Todoroki is obviously Carlos with his perfect hair and perfect teeth. Uraraka is totally dana, Deku is of course Cecil, Aizawa might be station management? Might be old man Jenkins. Whatever it is I'm here for it.
>Night Vale AU 2-Alternatively its the cast of bnha just in the wtnv universe and their day to day lives dealing with night vales weirdness. do as you please.
>Underground Fighting/Fight Club AU- What It Says On The Tin. BNHA kids doing illegal underground fighting stuff and do with it what you will.
>Oresama Teacher AU- I know I keep being super aggresive but still fuck you I think mafuyu and Uraraka would be able to flip flop each other or alternatively, mafuyu is urarakas grandmother and she taught Uraraka all the ways of badassery minus the fighting stuff bc she old
>Fantasy AU where for once Uraraka actually is the badass witch and not just the confused amnesiac- also What It Says On the Tin. Bitch can kick some ass.
>Adventure Time AU- For shits and giggles bc I said so I suppose. I think the bnha characters in that universe would be funny af with just the right dash of angst/drama.
>Assassination classroom au- what it says on the tin.
>The Myth Of Hades and Persephone AU- featuring your chosen bnha ship. Imma leave mine out of it because the one I would prefer to put in would probably yield a lot of hate and I don't want my preferred ship to get in the way of anyone ignoring these prompts and not writing them? idk imma leave mine out but y'all get it.
More to be added at a later date bye lmao
