And he's seen "black" grow distant over the weeks, flirt with Sean and get close, seen black dump eugene then dump her a second time, seen black not care he tried to flirt or tries to be close or even that he made a move on blacks ex

And I think it tracks for gram to on 1 level want to comfort eugene cause he's partially projecting and feeling thrown away too 2 want to comfort her cause they seem like friends and they're both discarded by black so he wants to not feel alone and probably feels bad for her feeling discarded too. And then 3 he's been trying to get over black since black started dating eugene, and now black is full on ignoring him as even a FRIEND ! And I think gram is trying to rebound and in his head eugene seems nice. He's nice. Black is totally different. And he just wants some kind of control over his own feelings and position in relationships rn.

Of course eugene rightfully does not wanna rebound with gram, does not seem to like him that way (and/or she's just not up to dating post breakup and wants to be alone). So gram is STILL ultimately left floundering. He is still abandoned by black who's distant and who left Everyone he loved romantically (eugene) or as a friend (gram), he is unable to make up for black being cruel to eugene and feels like a Fool for trying to fix blacks relationship problems, he feels like a fool for trying to help eugene when he can't even help himself. Just like. From a bi writing perspective? How he's acting reminds me a bit of Two from Theory of Love and how he goes after his girl friend first. Then goes after Un unintentionally at first almost as a rebound. In ToL case yeah the second ship with Un was endgame. But in Not Mes case, the second person eugene is the ex of grams first crush, making the rebound element more intense and giving of course eugene more reason to NOT want to be a part of it. So like. Idk I think gram considering his romantic options is acting fairly predictably? He's not going to make a move on black cause he keeps getting MORE distant and pushing gram away more (as white) after already picking eugene over him (when it was actually black), and if nuch is grams ex he's not going to put her through him rebounding on someone. But eugene he sees as in a position similar to him so he feels like it's a less bad idea to make a move on her. He thinks she's in a place closer to him emotionally - but ultimately she's not.

What gram really needs? Not even romantically just as a base thing? To see black again!!! To hear that the past few weeks was white!!!

When we started this show I imagine gram had already developed his crush on black, and buried it/was trying to decide how to move on since black was dating eugene. So romantically he wasn't in a great place. But friend wise? He was staying nights with black ans studying and riding bikes together and hanging over blacks shoulder cuddling and smelling black and complimenting him and having in depth political convos where I'm betting black always sided with gram against nuch lol. Based on how gram acted when white first appeared.

So like. The instant black is at all normal around him again? Or calls him out on gram seeming to act distant too now? I think gram is gonna get back some of that emotional foundation he started the show will. (Ideally if white issue is mentioned)

I am worried black is currently in a "push everyone including gang away to protect yhem" mentality tho. Which would mean gram is gonna keep feeling abandoned unless black is forced to be one on one with him again in a scene.

Tldr gram is gonna make a lot more sense if he gets to interact with his real best friend black again. I think a huge part of the confusion with him is dude is absolutely drowning isolated rn not just romantically (where he's being messy af) but in the gang, with any friends etc. Black was his friend. Close like family even. The rest of the gang wasn't That much to him the same way. And he hasn't had that relationship around for weeks now and doesn't have any idea why.

Ok ok, I feel that, if someone with a bit less trauma and a bit of insight (NHS maybe?) had seen the bit where ChenQing fucking hurts Shijie thing would’ve gone differently. I mean, yes, LWJ keeps warning WWX that this shit is gonna fuck him up, but as I said in my previous commentary LWJ also has the communication skills of a hermit crab so that wouldn’t work, and JC would be too wound up and WWX too busy trying to conceal his lack of golden core for that conversation to go anywhere. But if someone who WWX knows is a good egg (I’m not gonna say trusts bc paranoia) had sat him down and told him “your new instrument that you use for your new form of cultivation just hurt the person you love most please be careful when you use it.” I think it would’ve worked wonders towards his health overall.

I know Shijie says it’s like Zidian, but she’s not working with the fact that this thing is made for and by the Dark Side of the Force and I’m sorry but I can’t help but see ChenQing as a bit of a horrocrux almost. Or like, if you like me think the Burial Mounds is an Entity, something that’s a bit more sentient that it lets on.

Speaking of reputations and NHS being a good egg, I have oh-so-many ideas (I won’t say plot bunnies because I can’t write for shit) in which NHS for Reasons (time-travel? Letter from the future? His massive brain?) realises just how much damage WWX is doing to his public image. And he might be a sheltered dandy, but he saw what being the son of a sex worker did to Meng Yao despite how hard he worked (I’m assuming he doesn’t know about the whole betrayal business). This is way fucking worse, like hell is he going to let one of his best friends paint a target on his back. So he pulls back his sleeves, engages his slytherin brain and proceeds to lay down a plan to throughly destroy WWX’s reputation as a powerful genius.

I’m guessing LWJ and JC protest, and maybe WWX, and NHS just hits them with “do you want him respected or alive?” And they shut tf up. He glues himself to WWX, and brings up as many instances in which their behaviour can be compared as he can (we got drunk and punished at cloud recesses, we slept in class, we skipped to go fishing, I don’t carry my sword either). And, because assholes be assholes, people like Sect Leader Yao or Clown Cousin are quick to start spouting their own derogatory bullshit and thus WWX the untamed powerful prodigy dies a fiery death. Now he’s just a mouthy kid with a quick mind that “does tricks instead of battle” (I’ll never get bored of using that Thor quote). I also like to think that people who personally know WWX and are not pieces of shit go give NHS a tongue lashing for messing with what they thought was his friend, NHS takes that as a test of good eggness and bring them into the plan. Soon the whole Cloud Recesses class is swearing up, down, left, right and centre that all the shit WWX has ever successfully pulled is just an insane amount of luck and quick thinking.

I don’t know how would they work him into the battlefield (disguise? Mask?) to unleash his demonic cultivation but that’s Plot and I don’t do that.

Also, because I’m a terrible human being I want to say that people assume LWJ is on “pretty but useless” WWX like white on rice because *insert derogatory comment about being good in bed and sexual favours*. Because y’all know the assholes here are Like That. And WWX is horrified because holy fucking shit he’s gonna drag LWJ’s reputation down, he can’t have people thinking HGJ is ok with having him as a concubine pretty much. But before he can act LWJ politely all but confirms that yeah, he’s tapping that, y’all wish you were but he doesn’t share and none of y’all are good enough for his Wei Ying anyway. CUE FAKE/PRETEND RELATIONSHIP BECAUSE I AM INDEED TRASH FOR THAT TROPE.

I’m just gonna say it, I think 3zun (well, 2zun as of now) suspect shit went down badly for WWX, that’s two questions by both of them in a very soft conciliatory tone. They are genuinely interested/worried about the topic, and don’t seem to come off as chiding or judgemental. I mean WWX is a weirdo irreverent kid and they’re sect leaders, they outrank him so much it’s ridiculous. I’m also counting the fact that both their baby brothers like him towards them being so kind. But I also think WWX just triggers all their big brother instincts the second he walks in.

What happened at Yiling was a traumatised teenager (is WWX even 20?) PTSDing all over the place with the Dark Side of the Force whispering in his ear and an all powerful trinket at his disposal. Not saying I approve of all the torture and murder but he clearly isn’t revelling in them.

That is some outstanding bit of big-brothering on LXC’s side and I love it. Also, my dumbass just realised LWJ probably wasn’t quoting WWX when he was being punished (what is white what is black?) I think he was quoting his big brother. Which is magnitudes deep too, but in a different direction and I might love that scene even more.

Ok fuck it, I’m gonna tangent. So I had a terrible boyfriend when I was 15-18. He alienated me from my friends, sunk my self-esteem to the molten core of the earth, tried to convince me my parents were abusive and encouraged (aka threatened manipulated and cajoled) the slow tanking of my high school marks. I have A Problem when I see media where someone latches onto their significant other and everything they are shifts towards that person. Now, love, true genuine love, is powerful, and I believe it can be the catalyst for shifting your world-view for the better. I don’t have a problem with that. I don’t have a problem with people sticking with their romantic partner if it is clear their previous “family” is so much shit. I don’t have a problem with LWJ coming out of his shell and defying corrupt precepts because his love for WWX made them see they were wrong, or getting sassy and unrepentant during his punishment (I have a problem with the punishment bc that’s abuse but...). But I do side-eye WangXian being the only thing in their orbit. People need people, and WangXian have other good people around them. So I kind of love that yes, WWX showed him the system was corrupt, but it is the words of his brother he is sticking by to the defy said system.

so i didnt even start stanning billy until the scene with neil.

i didnt hate him, nor did i hate his actions. i dont think i was ever mad at him trying to run over the kids because i knew it was just a scare tactic like people are so wild for thinking he was deadass about to kill some kids on bikes like... lets use our brains.

the only thing that ever gave me pause with him was that line to max about lucas and there being “certain people you dont associate with” and i was like ‘oh... is he ???’ and then nothing ever happened to follow up on that train of thought so i was like ‘guess he isnt ??’ thats just the duffers bad writing but whatever.

always thought he was hella gay and had a fat crush on steve tho so i mean regardless if i ever started liking billy that still wouldve been a thing for me but thats another post.

we get to the scene with neil and finding out what a piece of shit he is and i was like OH... we adopting billy now... because everyone who knows me knows since the dawn of time i cannot resist a sad poor boy with daddy issues this is just who i am and we’re gonna have to live with it.

and i get billy. a lot. his contentious relationship with max is a lot like how i used to be with my younger brother. i have... immense anger issues. probably noticeable by the 500 rant posts i make on my blog but like ... ya know... i understand billy that way lmao like...i just get it. a lot of his personality makes sense to me even without the context of what hes going through at home. but add that on and like... yeah no shit he acts the way he does i dont understand why thats such a hard concept for people to grasp

and its been my experience in the billy fandom that everyone who loves his character and fights so hard for him is because they either are billy or have been billy. ive seen so many posts of people talking about how they see their own relationships with their parents in billy and neil and how they acted out just the way billy did (also its a LOT of gay people who stan billy ... do with that info what you want)

and its been my experience with people who AVIDLY hate him that its because hes not the cookie cutter trauma victim they want to see. they ALWAYS wanna make the argument of “abuse isnt an excuse to be a dick” and youre right! its not! but to completely dismiss the fact that trauma, especially CURRENT trauma like this was not past shit billy was STILL living with his abuser, can have negative affects on people is just... absolutely absurd to me. 

and he was a 17/18 year old kid. with no support system. like... what the fuck were yall expecting him to do? 

i also think this weird purity culture movement we’re in right now had a LOT to do with the negative reaction to billy. combined with the cancel culture mindset of “you do one wrong thing you can never come back from it”. and its just annoying. its so fucking annoying. it just always makes me think if these people were confronted with a person like billy in real life would they still be like “actually you need to die” instead of being like “hey! your coping mechanisms are not healthy and maybe lets get you some therapy and also far away from your abuser”

[RF] Just A Dream

Had a horrible but revealing dream. After the fact, I assume I was in a movie but it felt very real to me. Even had bloopers lol smh. Anyway, here it goes: Some time before this scene I'm guessing days up to a week or two, a young man around 14-16 years old (young stupid) had a confrontation with a man 18-20 years old(young but older stupid). The young man must've done something to the other guy's car, took something from his house, messed with a sibling of his or talked to the police. Something that would make a barely legal adult act irrational if he ran into him again. YBOS sees YS riding on a bike while he and a female acquaintance are at a car wash. He says to himself that YS is lucky and gives him a pass due to the fact that he's with his lady friend right now. Meanwhile YS has no idea YBOS has spotted him and after a few hundred feet, the chain on his bike pops. Camera pans to inside a school bus where we meet lil bro (high school sophmore). Typical random conversations are being had as it reaches lil bro. Lil bro is looking out the window as his friend(Fendi) rolls alongside the bus on a bike holding up the middle finger. Lil Bro shakes his head and gives the finger bk. Just a few feet ahead Big Bro, 18-19 years old; is on the bus stop waiting for it to arrive. He has a fast food work uniform on. As the bus approaches getting ready to stop, Fendi stops by Big Bro and jokes on his uniform. Lil Bro finally gets off the bus and approaches the two in mid roasting session. (Big Bro) I have to be at work early and moma said you left your key. Try not to lose mine, dumbass.(Lil Bro) sarcastically smiles (Fendi) Try not to stain that uniform. Dirty ass boy. Fendi and Lil Bro laugh. (Big Bro) Aye, fucc what he talking bout, getcho ass home. (Lil Bro) Fasho big bruh, good lookin tho. Fendi bout to ride me bk now. As Lil Bro hops on the front of Fendi's bike, Big Bro shakes his head and begins to walk off. Now Fendi and Lil Bro are riding along, Fendi's being loud making jokes as they ride past that same car wash YBOS was at. (YBOS) Aw this nigga think it's a game. Do he think he got the drop on me? I got something for that ass. he says fierosly. Suddenly two loud barks of gunshots let off. Fendi and Lil Bro recklessly change pace and the course they are riding. (Fendi) What the fuck are you on bruh? he shouted. Chill! (Lil Bro) Go nigga! This nigga crazy! Somehow YBOS cuts them off, I guess due to the way the street or parking lot was designed. With only 10 feet between him and the friends, he fires rounds out his gun. One hitting Lil Bro in the chest and one to the face. Fendi loses control of bike and they fall off. In that same moment YBOS realizes he has shot the wrong kid. Big Bro while his eyes feel up with tears frantically runs towards them screaming Lil Bro!

In my dream I am big bro. My emotions are high and it feels way too real for me. I remember crawling on the pavement to reach them just crying up a storm. It takes a while for me to stop and hear someone say excellent let's shoot the scene again. I'm thinking like huh and another person says it for the TV edit of the film. I know it makes no sense but like I said this is a dream. Another part I remember is instead of a bus, kids are all in line coming down a hallway and I was at the school. As I reach the two kids I know I ask, "What, yall having a fire drill?". For some reason we break character and start crackin up. I say I dont remember my line, hopefully I wont get in trouble for improvising. Idk this dream was vivid and it woke me up out my sleep. I had worked all day and now I'm trying g to fice myself to go bk to sleep. Sorry for the punctuation but man I've been out of school for years. Just wanted to share.
