Longowal Group of Colleges, Derabassi conducted a scholarship awareness programme on 6- September-2024 for socio-economically weaker students of Derabassi and adjoining villages in collaboration with “Youth Dreamers Foundation” owned by Pernod Ricard India Foundation (PRIF). The purpose of the programme was to make the students aware about various scholarship schemes provided by the foundation.
On this occasion, Ms. Jasmeet Kaur ( Sr. Scholar Sath,YDF ) shared the journey of the foundation and its achievements with students and also explained them the registration process on the foundation’s portal. Mr. Deepak Prajapati( Sr. Program Associate, YDF) talked about the different scholarships granted by foundation and the eligibility criteria.
Dr. Kapil Katyal (Vice- Chairman), in his address discussed about the relevance of helping the economically backward students and giving them a helping hand in their academic progress. Dr. Vinod Katyal (Director Admissions) reminded the students that receiving a scholarship adds the responsibility in their life. They all should study hard and perform well in their academics so as to gain the benefits of these scholarship programmes.

কুষ্টিয়া কুমারখালী উপজেলার যদুবয়রা ইউনিয়নের চর কেশবপুর গ্রামের মোঃ শফিকুল ইসলাম এর বাড়িতে গত ২৪ ফেব্রুয়ারি বুধবার দুপুর ২টায় বৈদ্দ্যতিক শর্টসার্কিট এর মাধ্যমে আগুনের শুত্রপাত। মুহুতের মধ্যে বসবাসরত ১টি ঘর, রান্নাঘর, আসবাপত্র সবকিছু পুড়ে ছাই হয়ে যায়।
পরিবারের সদস্যদের পড়নের কাপড় ছাড়া কিছুই ছিলনা। মাথায় আকাশ ভেঙ্গে পড়ে পরিবারটির।
