20 — Y/NSUK STARTS OVER (WRITTEN!)

you ran as quickly as your legs could take you, not letting the fact that it was raining stop you from running to choi hyunsuk.

panting, puffing and completely drenched from the rain, you made it to the apartment complex, wobbling to the familiar door before ringing the bell and leaning against the wall.

and just like you hoped for, choi hyunsuk was the one who opened the front door, eyes widening as you gasped for a breath, your hand on your knees.

"oh…? oh … hi there." you struggled to form the words. "just give me a minute. need a breather."

"what are you doing here?" you'd be lying if you said hyunsuk's harsh tone didn't hurt you, but maybe this was how you deserved to be treated after everything you said and did.

"i, uh, wanted to talk to you," you replied, taking deep breaths. "and apologize too," you added.

"so, you ran from your place to mine? in the rain?"

"yeah, pretty much, yes."

hesitance flashed through hyunsuk's eyes before he shook his head, scoffing. "and you couldn't bring an umbrella with you?" he muttered.

before you could get another word out, hyunsuk walked back inside the house, leaving you outside. you sucked in a breath, rubbing your hands to fight the cold as you wondered what to do.

almost ten seconds later, hyunsuk came into view again, tilting his head. if you weren't gasping for air, you probably would've been able to see the concern he had for you behind the cold, expressionless front he had put up.

"i left the door open for a reason, you know? so what … are you gonna come inside or not?"

accepting the invitation in a heartbeat, you quickly followed behind hyunsuk, getting a start on the apology speech you had put together during your run.

“hyunsuk, i just wanted to say i am–” you paused, seeing him hold up a hand to stop your talk. “yeah?”

“just dry yourself off and get changed first,” hyunsuk stated, throwing a bundle of clothes in your direction. “you are getting my carpet wet.”

you took a deep breath, nodding as you walked in the direction he pointed at. entering the bathroom, you let out a breath you were holding, struggling to keep in the tears.

okay, maybe i deserve it, you tried to convince yourself. but does he have to be this rude?

“let him know, y/n. that’s why you ran all the way here. to apologise and let him know how much he means to you.” you stared at the reflection in the bathroom mirror, giving yourself a word of encouragement before walking out.

you froze upon seeing yoshi and jihoon, awkwardly fidgeting your fingers as you wondered how to walk to hyunsuk’s room when they were standing in front of it.

“… dude, that’s not right at all.” you flinched as jihoon raised his voice. “y/n ran all the way in the rain and you really going to fucking tell her she’s getting the carpet wet?!”

oh, they are talking about me.

“suk, i’ve been on your side every time, but this was too far,” yoshi reasoned, more soft-spoken than jihoon. “i know you wanna put up this bad-boy act and pretend you don’t care for y/n and all, but have you considered what she wanted to tell you? because no one runs in the rain just to apologise to someone, hyunsuk.”

not wanting anyone to scold him more because of you, you shut the bathroom door loudly, letting everyone know of your presence. hyunsuk nodded at the other two, wordlessly assuring he’ll drop the act.

ah, yes. the choi hyunsuk being ‘rude’ was just an act — surprise, surprise!

you walked into his room, standing by his desk as he closed the door. you opted to stand even after he gestured you to sit on his bed, taking deep breaths as you gathered the words you wanted to say.

and you said them. everything that bothered you and everything that was in your heart, you told him.

“… i’m just rambling here, but all i want to say is i’m really sorry behaving the way i did,” you apologized, not expecting yourself to get emotional. “i really like you, hyunsuk, and i hope we can start over.”

your heart was at your throat as hyunsuk stood from his place, taking a step towards you. a small smile painted his face as he reached out softly, wiping away your tears before pulling you into his arms.

“i’m sorry for being a dick too,” he muttered, patting your back in assurance. “and i would love to start over whatever this is. i promise, no more secrets this time.”

you pulled away from the hug, cracking a relieved smile. “well, then … uh, hi. i’m y/n and i am from daegu. i used to study in canada, but i moved back because i was homesick,” you stated. “i used to be best friends with this guy called daniel choi. i wonder how he’s doing now.”

hyunsuk laughed at your last comment, shaking his head. “hi, i’m choi hyunsuk and i’m from daegu too!” he mimicked your introduction. “this might be crazy, but i think i might be the daniel choi you are looking for,” he spoke, pointing at the polaroid of you two when you were younger on his wall.

“oh, my gosh. that’s us!”

“yep, that is. how could i ever forget the girl i married when i was six?”

a/n: i’ve been stocking up on some fluff prompts because most of the prompts on my list are angst and i didn’t want to constantly post angst fics so here’s a cute junghwan fic for yall! My bias in treasure is junghwan so writing this felt like getting a heart attack every minute because of how cute he is, so i hope yall enjoyed this fic and don’t forget to reblog or like this and my other fics to show support! I never really got to do my carrd because apparently, i don’t have sites anymore LMAO so i’ll probably use notion for my introduction hehe

You don’t know how you both ended up in this situation, but cooking is and will continue to be one of the hardest things to learn, especially if you’re cooking with another person. You asked junghwan to come to your apartment to spend time with you since you were feeling a bit gloomy due to the inevitable stress from a very demanding course at your university. At first, you told junghwan just to bring some food he wanted or order takeout once he arrived, but he whined and whined all throughout the phone call saying that you both should cook your own food from time to time because he deemed it to be “healthy”. You both are probably going to order the same food with the same ingredients and same procedure, so you didn’t really understand what he meant by healthy if you both were going to cook something fried. (You didn’t argue back because even if you absolutely loved him whining, you just wanted food.) He even insisted on picking you up to go grocery shopping for the ingredients, which took both of you roughly 2 hours because for two reasons: his absolute love for food and worrying about getting the wrong ingredients.

“Babe, do you think we need some more snacks in your apartment?”

“Hwan, I’m literally out the majority of the time. I probably won’t need 5 packs of different snacks.” you told him while putting back the snacks he placed. He teasingly pouted to you, as if it were a crime to reject more snacks in your apartment. You saw him place a few bags for himself discreetly in the cart, but failing miserably because of how loud he was throwing the snacks. You laughed a bit, enjoying the way he tries his best to hide the snacks under the piles of other ingredients needed for the food you both were going to cook later.

“Babe, is this the right one?

“We need crushed garlic, not 5 cloves of it.”

Long story short, grocery shopping should be easy but apparently, it took you both longer than expected. Junghwan calls it “quality time” and you couldn’t help but agree and laugh all the way back to your apartment. Junghwan wanted to make what one of his hyungs made for dinner in the other dorm. He said the food was called “Wowmyeon” and he kept gushing about how good it looked and wanted to make it with you when his hyungs sent him a picture in their group chat. 

“Do you know the recipe for the Wowmyeon, hwannie?” you asked when you were unloading all the ingredients on the counter.

“Why do we need a recipe when you have me?” he said while washing the onions in the sink and gave you a proud smile, thinking he was going to make the best wowmyeon – even better than his hyung.

“You forgot the recipe, didn’t you?”

“Yeah.” he said shamelessly, thinking nothing will go wrong with the cooking because when his hyung explained the recipe to him, it sounded easy.

“Don’t worry though, we could always call my hyung if things start to go south.” he gave you a kiss on the forehead while moving on to wash the green onions.

Moments like these were something you absolutely treasured with junghwan. Being able to spend time with him despite your clashing schedules from class or even after-school activities was always the best thing. You both knew to take some time off to be with one another and avoid overwhelming each other when stress starts to build up. You both worked so well together in the whole duration of your relationship, and you couldn’t help but be thankful for a loving boyfriend like him.

“Do you want to talk about anything?” Junghwan asks while cutting up the pork belly into bite-sized pieces. 

“Hmm, nothing in particular, but I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy being around you.” you gave him a smile while putting your head on his shoulder while he puts the pork belly in the pan.

“Well, I’m really happy I get to be around you as well. You make me so happy.” He said looking at you with the wide smile that you absolutely adored. His eyes hold pure adoration as he sees your head on his shoulder. You were immediately welcomed into his arms as he hides his face on your shoulder. His tight grip on your figure as if wanting to hold you forever in his arms. At that moment, you both were just melting into each other’s touch – completely enjoying the intimacy and warmth of an embrace filled with love. 

“You know, I remember practicing how to ask you out in front of the mirror.” he mumbled on your shoulder, shy to even look at you. You hummed in response, allowing him to continue before you tease him.

“It was the first time I’ve done something like that, even the hyungs were worried that I hit my head or something.” he laughed as he pulled away from you, basking in the sight of you in front of him – looking at him full of love and contentment despite being together almost for a year.

“I’m more worried about the fact that you really might have hit your head or something. Maybe a fever?” You teased as you put your head on his forehead imitating how a person checks for a fever. Then you began to laugh because of the exaggerated pained-like expression he put on to say he was sick.

“I think I love you,” he said, face being serious all of a sudden. 

“Scratch that, I do love you. Thinking about loving you doesn’t amount to anything.” he continued.

You were completely shocked by the sudden confession. You knew it was about time to say those words, but hearing them right now sent chills down your body. It’s not that you don’t love him, you do. God, you really do love him. You just didn’t know how to tell him for fear of him not thinking the same way, or maybe it was too early to say it. You honestly got teary-eyed, relief washing over you because he feels the same way as you do; loving him was something you realized earlier on and getting to hear it really lifted your insecurities being with him

Just as you were about to say the words back, you smelled something burning. 

Oh. oh

And from the horror on your face and the burning smell of meat hitting you both in the nose, junghwan immediately pushed you to the side away from the burning and turned off the stove, and looked at the burnt pork belly with a displeased looked.

“You okay? God, we only bought a few pork bellies for both of us.” junghwan signed, as he started putting the pot in the sink and downed it with water.

“I’m sorry, I wasn’t paying attention and we were enjoying our time and we won’t have anything for dinner anymore, and–”

“I love you, too. So so much.” you said while putting your hands on his cheeks so he could pay attention to you.

Junghwan looked at you in shock. Barely comprehending the words that left your mouth, something he's been wanting to hear from you for so long. He was smitten by you. He loves everything about you. He didn't know what to say, except stare into your eyes.

"I love you so much." You whispered to him as you pulled him for a hug. He immediately wrapped his arms around you, not wanting to let go of a moment he so desperately wanted to replay forever in his mind.

And for what seemed like hours of hugging  you both pulled away. Junghwan placed his forehead on yours, whispering sweet nothings and strings of i love you's while you were getting a bit shy with the biggest smile plastered on your face. And in those strings of words did junghwan kiss you. The kiss was different compared to the ones you shared with him before. This was more intimate, full of love. It was a way to remind each other that you both were in it for the long run, and you couldn't be happier. 

"All we needed to do was fail in cooking for us to say 'i love you'. You said with a soft smile, while junghwan had his arm around you. Junghwan hummed in reply, as he looked back at the mess in the kitchen.

"So much for our food, though."

"Let's just order takeout. You want some chicken?"

"Yes, please!" He said in his best aegyo pose while you continued giggling as you dial the hotline of both your favorite chicken place.

BONUS:

"How does someone even burn pork belly?" Jihoon asked through the phone with the most dumbfounded expression. 

"It was an accident, hyung!" Junghwan said while trying to stir fry the pork belly with the constant reminder from his hyung to not burn the pork belly.

"Just follow the steps I sent you, I'm pretty sure y/n can handle the rest if you get lost." Jihoon said, muttering something you both couldn't hear but it was along the lines of couples in this new generation (as if he isn't part of the same generation).

"Now we know we can’t cook anything together.” junghwan said while pouring the water to let the ingredients boil.

“At least we get to learn cooking together, even if it means getting an earful from your hyungs.”

Junghwan wrapped you in his arms and immediately hid by your neck to prevent you from seeing the evident blush on his cheeks. God, you could spend every second with him and you wouldn't be tired. You'll continue to look for him everyday, and comfort each other whatever it takes.

for those that don't know much about 3h:

black eagles are the house primarily focused on dark magic, and most of the characters in that house have a particularly quieter and/or serious personality, with more self-made leaders than anyone else. there's a couple exceptions of louder people (such as yedam), but most of the house is full of serious sided people (also, if you know, keita would def fit the role of edelgard)

blue lions are the house primarily focused on close combat, and most of the characters in that house are more on the gentler side, though they do suffer from not being as close together compared to the other two. most are gentle, most are sociable, but they all carry some level of unspeakable trauma at least LOL. (hanbin is the leader because of his princely demeanor perfectly matching dimitri's)

golden deer are much more of a mismatched group, a jack of all trades, but they're surprisingly a lot closer to each other. most of the ppl in here either have colorful personalities or colorful backgrounds, with a couple calmer people to balance it all out. it's a loud place for sure, but everyone loves each other; though their differing opinions might end up in some fights. (hanbin is the leader due to his natural ability to socialize with literally everyone on bp, making him the perfect glue)

ashen wolves are the rejects of society, mainly underground either due to crime or debts unpaid, having nowhere else to go. this place is literally just the supercharger team (who were robbed), plus some people who got the shortest ends of the stick in boys planet. they're the smallest group in general due to abyss being so tiny. (haruto is the leader because he...just would)

the church of seiros either houses great warriors, gentle priests, or small children. a couple of deadpan mercenaries, as well as general caretakers or people in need of comfort and care would end up here. (hao is the archbishop because honestly... he manages to fit that role of gentle leader and harsh commander all at once, somehow)

ricky is our byleth/main protagonist because he came from nothing to something (thru the power of YRTH)

and hui is our sothis, all knowing god with experience

im pretty sure 90% of ppl do not get this but this was just fun to think about and sort people into. some extra bonus notes:

popular duos like haobin, mattbin, hwanyeol, etc. are separated for peak angst reasons (unless you. recruit them. i guess)

i somehow managed to keep the numbers even across the original three houses (ashen wolves is DLC)

ggang team is together minus junhyeon bc junhyeon's chaotic ass personality is too much to be a blue lion

only reason why gyuvin is in blue lions is to 1. be the outlier and 2. his trauma on bp outweighs his personality in regard here

the viets are together! cong and honghai were meant to be the raphnatz of the gd :)

i didn't have a byleth in mind before this. since there's only one and usually you chose between gender, the options in this au are either blonde hair ricky or black hair ricky. and he turns into zb1 ricky over time.

Hihi guys, first of all. Im thinking about writing a mini series woohoo 😆🥳

This one is going to be a little personal for me and im only thinking about making it 4 parts bc its not going to be that long.

Anyways, the synopsis is that yn (you) are basically new to the area, and you go to your new school when you come across this boy (basically another strangers to lovers au) the reason why this is so personal to me is that well, i moved this summer and i havent made any effort to make any friends so its kinda lonely being by myself even though im used to it 😅

MOMENTS WITH ERINA IN THE SCHOOL EPISODE

A/N: ive never written anything before, so please go easy on me! This is the first thing I’ve written for Erina as well, so please feel free to request any moments or asks about her and the members!

erina enters the classroom right before haruto, "hello! we're classmates? did you guys eat anything? how are you?" [seems like nervous erina equals hyper erina]

mashiho and asahi burst out laughing at her nervous rambling

"whyyy don't laugh >:" erina pouted

"Okay okay we won't 🥰🥰"

erina sits in the front [the baby is a good student]

she bursts out laughing at doyoung's poor acting in his character intro but goes along with it

"hi doyoung :D I'm new here too!"

"lets be friends" [ amazingly makes friends even when being so deep in character]

They are seen making their own handshake and giggling together

[the start of an amazing friendship]

when jihoon entered she started teasing him

"oh! i saw you! O:"

[everyone bursts out laughing at the baby's obliviousness]

in the show us your charm segment, she couldn't face any of the members and her ears turned red from embarrassment when jaehyuk got too close to get her to be his seat mate

when it was her turn she was so embarrassed but attempted to regain her confidence

2NE1's "I am the best" started playing and she was feeling herself

[erina gains confidence] [making the classroom her stage]

*screams in embarrassment *

In the second period, everyone is teasing erina

she attempts to carry doyoung which she fails at first try. when she tries again her legs tremble

but she gets across and celebrates and everyone praises her

they both last till the 100 cm where its erina's turn

"oh my baby.." hyunsuk mutters

"what if she straines her back?" jihoon wonders

"everyone! i will try and give it my best" Erina announces

she bridal carries doyoung and squats down

like completely to the floor

and starts shuffling her feet to get across

"OH?😟" "WHOA! 😧THAT WORKS?" "GO RINAAAA🤩‼️‼️"

she trembles and struggles to get up from the squat but manages to pass the round

"I....need rest..i give up now"

sadly the next round doyoung fails as well, complaining that even though she isn't heavy, she has long arms and legs

when choosing the lunch she looks at all the menus

in guessing the pose erina was made to stand straight with her hands to her side

when choosing their favourite student erina just smiles and says "I love you all <3" "but is there anyone special" "idk :))"

when putting the badges in she goes to doyoung's box and places it inside

she's betrayed when its revieled that doyoung put his in junghwan's

Hey pumpkin, How are you doing?? 

I know. You're probably thinking, "That's what I should be asking you, Mashi," while shaking your head, right? But that's okay, because it's what you ask me every single time we talk anyway. And that's why I figured that the least I can do is ask you the same, for once. 

I hope you're doing good, and I hope you're taking care of yourself and eating and sleeping on time even without me forcing you to. I mean, yeah, I do call you up during mealtimes and at night just to remind you to do the bare minimum for yourself, but it's not the same as grabbing your arm or lifting you off your feet just to carry you to the dining table or the bed, you know?

Oh and, how are your classes going? Please don't say, "They're being a pain" again, because that's what your probably told me the last time I asked you on FaceTime. I know they're a pain, but it's a pain that you're very much capable of bearing, because you're my fighter baby, right? I just hope you're doing your work consistently and not overworking your cute little body too much. Even if something seems hard the first time you read it, I want you to step back and give it a rest for a while, instead of working yourself till you burn out. 

And now, you better not go all "Aww you care so much!" on me, because both of us know how you care just as much when I'm practicing too hard and not resting. 

I'm doing well here too, helping mum and dad around in the house and playing with Kotetsu in my free time. I'm regularly working out too, just so I can still be hot when you see me again. But don't you worry my angel, because I'm still taking things easy so as to not strain my body too much, even when I'm dancing. 

Wow.....writing a letter is so much harder than I had thought. But I guess it can't be helped since most of the things I'm telling you, I tell you every day anyway. But it's just that....there's still something I haven't said much on call or on FaceTime, because I was shy of seeing or hearing your reaction. And that's why I decided to send you a letter in the first place, so I can show you what's going on inside my head without being shy. 

So, the thing is....I just miss you so much. This is the first time we've been away for so long, and I'm not liking it one bit. Being with my family is great, it really is. But that doesn't mean I've completely forgotten about life in Seoul, about the members and most importantly, about you. It's just not the same without your form sitting on the counter while I cook something for you, and it's not same without having you lean into my shoulder whenever you feel some extra love for me. 

I miss going on dates with you, and I miss sneaking out late at night just to see the surprised look on your face. I really needed this break, heaven knows I did. But I just wish you could be here with me right now. I need to hold you in my arms so bad, and I need to kiss you and call you all the pet names that you know I cringe at. I want to feel your hands running through my hair, and I want to feel your heart beating against mine. 

It's been less than a month and I already miss you so much it's not even funny anymore. I know I'm supposed to be resting, but then again, how I am I supposed to do that when all I can think about is you? I don't want to hurt you by saying this, but I think you deserve to know of all the tears I've shed because of how lonely I feel without having your laughter ringing right next to me. 

Miss, want, need. None of these words is enough to describe what I've been feeling these days, it's like a void in my heart that will only be filled when you're in my arms. I know we can't possibly meet any time soon, and I know it's selfish to even think like this. And yet, I can't help but wonder what it would be life if you could come here to Mie, even if it's just just 2 days. 

Gosh, I'm actually crying while writing this, so please don't mind if some of the words get smudged off. I'm crying so hard right now, and still, all I'm wishing is that you won't cry while you read it. 

I'm sorry for this princess, I really am. But being without you is getting under my skin now, and I just had to let you know.
