hii ^^!! My name is Krossy! I'm a Transmasc selfshipper and this blog is dedicated to one of my f/os, more specifically Brook from One Piece.

Of that much, you are sure. His languid suckling on your neck serves as a gauge for it.

“It must be hard running Hotel Transylvania in the Underdark,” you muse from your side. There’s humor tinging your voice, mingled with the crisp flipping of a page.

Exasperation lives in his once he reluctantly retracts his fangs. “I swear, if I have to pull another spawn off a gnome, I will spear them all on pikes.”

“Awful ‘Vlad the Impaler’ of you.”

Astarion snorts, the cool rush of it tickling your damp skin. “Gods below. One could only dream of being that demented.”

“Yeah, well. We both know you love the others too much to hurt them.”

“Mm, I beg to differ.”

Astarion hums, and you feel it spool in your stomach. Affectionately, he noses the outer shell of your ear. Electricity shoots like pins and needles to the crease of your thighs when he nips you. And the little jolt your body gives draws a husky chuckle from him.

You find the contents of your book no longer interesting; your attention is diverted to the hand on your hipbone.    

Astarion drifts in and out of sleep, waking every so often to suckle on your neck like a sleepy newborn.

At some point, you awaken to him rutting against you.

“Astarion.” Your voice holds an edge to it—a warning.

“What?” You can practically hear the pout taking residence in his voice. “It’s been ages since I’ve last felt you.”

He mouths the curve of your shoulder whilst an artful hand bunches up your nightshirt, seeking the supple glide of your hip beneath.

You snort, snapping your book shut. Shift the slightest to cast him a humored look over your shoulder. “Ages? Ages, Astarion? You mean just last night?”

“Ages,” he solidifies into the space behind your ear. Goosebumps ignite in the wake of his breath cooling your skin. “A day without your body cradled to mine feels like an eternity, my love.”

You roll your eyes at his theatrics. Can you really fault him? Time moves differently here in the Underdark—if it moves at all. The absence of the sun has thrown your circadian clock entirely off-kilter. For all you know, he may very well have suffered eons without you.

“Please,” croons Astarion, trailing wet kisses down your nape. His hand continues on an excursion southward, kneading the fat of your thigh. It craters between his fingers as he squeezes the inner slope of it, and you bite your lip to ward off a growl. “I only need a taste.”

Somehow, you doubt that. It’s never just a taste with your love, now is it? But his begging is enough to coax a resigned sigh from your lips. Surely, you’ll regret this later.

“Fine,” you relent after tucking your novel beneath the pillow.

You yip as the world pivots and wooshes, and suddenly, you are on your back. You giggle as he climbs overtop you. Have all of five seconds to catch the boyish gleam of his eyes before he dives in to sample the skin of your throat.

Instinctively, you bury ten fingers in curls of white. And how sweet your voice sounds, pinched from your lungs in a whimper as you feel the searing graze of his fangs on your neck. Your breath hitched in anticipation; every nerve in your body trained on him. However, the prick of his fangs never comes.

Instead, they continue their journey southward, past your collarbones, between the valley of your breasts, towards your navel…

How prettily you arch against him, a sultry laugh parting your lips.

He disappears between your legs, tenderly kissing your thighs, dragging his lips toward the folds of your labia. Each kiss he delivers makes your hips twitch delightfully, seeking the wet contact of his mouth like a beacon.

He groans something pleased between your legs, kissing your lower lips before his tongue parts your labia in wet, languid strokes.

The doorbell is so fucking fancy it takes him a solid minute of staring to figure it out. Suguru is surprised that the man doesn’t just come to the door. Living in a fancy fucking building like this surely affords one a camera or two into the hallway. I mean, come on, he thinks going back over the night guard and the attempted valet and the secret-fucking-password (KIKUFUKU!) that he had to input to even get into the building. Ordering pizza right before closing is automatically a dick move, and then to add an essay’s worth of instructions to deliver the pizza. Fuck. Off.

He better get a big fucking tip.

Shifting the heated carrying case to his other hand, he runs the dominant one over the phony art deco display next to the door. Honestly, the different levels of the piece all feel like sturdy, cool pieces of metal. Isn’t being rich supposed to make life easier? It’s not just fucking pizza delivery drivers that ring doorbells. What if this ass-clown wants to have a dinner party?

He flattens his palm over the whole piece, pressing in hopes that one of them gives. Well, fuck him— the whole thing pushes in, and a muffled three-note chime is released.

Thank fuck. Suguru wants to go home so bad. Choso said he’d have a pizza ready for him when he comes to clock out. So all Suguru has to do is deliver this goddamned pizza, then stop by the shop for a few minutes. Pretend to shoot some shit with Sukuna as if they’re still the bestest of buddies, and talk trash on Choso’s current music kick: Mongolian throat singing— while secretly loving it (last week the dude was on a trap metal kick that also kinda sorta grew on him he can’t be trusted). Then shove pizza down his throat and crawl into his double bed alone in hopes of getting a few hours of sleep before he has to wake up and do prep again tomorrow. Yip-fuckin-pee.

Maybe— when Suguru finally gets a day off— he can hunt down that bitch-ass emo kid with the fuck-ass bob that quit by no-call-no-showing and kill him. Nahhhh, not a fitting punishment. Maybe he can treat the kid to some sleep deprivation and prop him outside of some rich ass-pricks’ doors covered in flour indefinitely. Suguru uses his free hand to attempt to dust himself off; he doesn’t actually care, but fuck this guy. Here, some flour for his doorstep.

Fuck!!! Where is this jack-off? He needs to roll the windows down on his car and chain-smoke cigarettes all the way back to the shop as post-shift cool-down and a pre-Sukuna numbing agent.

Suguru presses the button again, holding it down. Still, only a three-note ring. He releases pressure and then leans his whole body into a second push.

He’s about to unabashedly fist-fuck the doorbell when he hears a clatter on the other side, like the prick-hole on the other side just swiped a bunch of mahjong pieces off a table. A cacophony of obscenities promptly follows.

“Shit,” he mumbles as the door flies open. Revealing the craziest looking motherfucker alive. He’s wearing hot pink flannel pajama pants that ride up on him like high-waters because he’s built like a newborn giraffe and an oversized black t-shirt that reads: lesbians rule. And it’s not the fucking attire that this man has donned, but his physical being. Everything about him is as white as a fresh bag of flour—

Shit! Suguru drags his hand over his face, trying to stop his brain from short circuiting and becoming trapped in a pizza-based purgatory.

Everything about him is as white and chilling as fresh snowfall. Except his eyes. They’re a deep and dazzling blue. And blue barely fucking cuts it. They’re azure, cerulean, heavenly—

And Suguru stops himself right there. No broad shoulders or possible sculpted back. He doesn’t dwell on the angular jawline. And doesn’t acknowledge the lean, muscular limbs, covered in white hairs, giving all of the man’s exposed skin a slight iridescent quality.

Suguru is sure if he leaned in close enough he could fall down those irises and get trapped there. Infinitely stuck watching the whole world pass by him through the blue fractal perspective. with it.

But he’s not enraptured at all! Nope! And the other man’s ears are turning pink, perhaps from embarrassment as Suguru is pretty openly ogling him.

“Yeah, the white hair does that to people.” The man says, ruffling his white hair— perhaps for emphasis, perhaps he’s trying to kill Suguru.

He takes a deep breath, dropping his hand from his face before jumping into his spiel. Having already missed his cue makes it even worse, so he pitches his voice into a curt monotone. “Thank you for ordering from Shibuya Pizza. You need it, we knead it. Can I get your name to confirm the order?”

“You just said the same thing twice.” The corners of the man’s mouth creep upwards throughout the statement.

“No, I didn’t.” Suguru’s eyes roll back into his head. He gets this shit all the fucking time. It works when people read it— but spoken? Nah. And for some reason, people get pissed if he doesn’t say their fuck-wipe of a tag line, and then they call and complain about it. “It’s ‘you need— like require— and we knead— like the dough ‘cause it’s all made fresh and in house.”

“Damn, that’s the corniest shit ever,” the man says. “That must suck to have to say every time.”

“It. Does. Can I get your name to confirm the order?”

“I can tell you guys make the dough in house, you smell like a bakery.” Suguru’s ego bruises, despite how genuine and disarming it is. Maybe he wouldn’t have to smell like dough all the time if he made some good choices and didn’t have to move out on a lease and drop out take a semester off of college.

“Name, please?” Suguru sighs, but he comes out embarrassingly close to a whine.

“Gojo Satoru,” he quips with a smile before continuing onwards. “And yours?”

“Mine?”

“Yeah!” The man who is apparently Gojo smiles as if he’s just done the most normal thing in the world. “Yours?”

“I’m not telling you my name.” Suguru shoves the pizza over into the other man’s stupid fucking hands. If this is some serial killer type bullshit, he doesn’t want to get involved. He could be persuaded if there’s a sex dungeon-esque element.

“Why not?” Gojo’s pouting. Like actually pouting. Pink lip puckered out and glistening. “I’m just trying to make conversation.”

“Conversation?” He challenges. This is absurd. Maybe this Twilight-Vampire-ass-fuck is actually an angel fallen from heaven because who the fuck makes conversation at 2:07 AM with the pizza delivery driver on their own doorstep?! And he tells him that. “Who the fuck makes conversation at 2:07 AM with the pizza delivery driver on their own doorstep?! Is it your first day on earth?”

Omitting the fallen angel part. Good choice, Suguru.

“Damn, I’m sorry—“

“Do you even know all the shit I’ve gotta put up with? There’s actually fucking crazy people out there that want to do crazy shit to delivery drivers because we’re broke and dropped right on their doorstep. No, of course you don’t know,” he laughs to himself, spinning around to head back down the hall. There’s not gonna be any tip on this order. He’ll be lucky if there’s not a complaint.

“I’m sorry!” Gojo hollers at his back. “If you want, you can come in and have some pizza.” Suguru takes another step forward. “I can’t eat it all by myself.” And another,“You should drive so angry.”

What The Fuck Is this guy’s deal? But it stops him in his tracks. “Don’t tell me what to do. You’re not my mommy. Plus, I don’t eat meat.” Suguru sneers.

“How ‘bout some coffee?” Gojo smiles, flashing less of the pearly whites than before. It’s so warm, despite everything else about him.

Gojo turns his head to the side, as if giving up. Suguru only catches the quarter turn of his profile. Hair like a chandelier swaying gently from the foot beats of a singular dance. And fuck, Suguru wants to run out there and join him. Needs too. Under his dazzling Swarovski crystal hair and diamond eyes and other cunt-fucky rich people materials that he doesn’t even know the name of.

He’s so alluring and disarming that Suguru’s sure Gojo’s gotta be some kind of siren or cryptid he’s never heard of. But odds are he’s just a normal, probably lonely man. With those circumstances, Suguru could probably take him in a fight if he tries anything weird, omitting the sex-dungeons.

“Fine.”

my steps are basically

voice

personality

og look of minecraft skin/branding

player movement

other ppls fanart (if any)

things that happened/cultural associations

i start with a bunch of random sketches to get the feel of the person.. that's why so many of my early posts were doodle pages. to me, character design is more based on what the person is like rather than what they look like. i think a lot of people do that

I do this with all of the above and shape language, but in bigger art pieces outside of lineups i also use color and perspective (as in youll see more of someone like spepticle in large, sweeping scenes while someone like zam in closed, heavily perspective-based ones) to indicate personality. ill change designs when suited for this too (spoke with or without a gas mask, vi with or without a mouth, etc etc)

my first iteration of lifesteal designs heavily relied on the look of the skins and were gradually tweaked over time. my most prominent example of this is my spoke design, so i'll use him at least once in the examples for continuous comparison.

i watch a couple of each person's videos first, understand their voice, personality, and what they do, then focus on them in other people's videos too to get a full story, their movement, and what others think of them (helps with personality and things we might not see). streams are the most helpful because they're less biased and you see so much more of their antics. huge stream fan.

i get into the how after this

this process doesnt go in order for some designs and others have a more prominent focus on particular parts of the process that override or effect other parts

Voice

starting off with not spoke here's a problem i encountered when designing wemmbu

I based him a lot off of spoke and ashswag due to not knowing much about him besides the fact that he schemes (spoke&ash-esque) and he doesn't move his character around too much when talking (ash behavior). he didn't match the left one because his voice doesn't have the dramatic, flamboyant fratboy flair that spoke has, so I shifted it to be more friendly yet still dangerous with curved square shapes rather than triangles. i made his scheming, diabolical nature more evident through his clothing that's pretty jester-like and sharp, but with a smoother middle that spoke doesn't have (and to match his eyes).

voice also impacts character height. i dont know how to describe this. mapicc and zam are similar heights because their voices are similar, same goes for parrot and vortex, but leo and vitalasy are close to the same height (due to vitalasy's huge fuckass ears) despite having wildly different voices, with leo's bold text voice and vitalasy's higher-pitched jumbled kinda speech they still take up the same "amount of space" in conversation. they stand out. and even though spoke's voice also stands out an incredible amount he is still only slightly taller than average. this is where personality overrides voice in my designs.

Personality

spoke is sharp in every sense of the word, but is also able to mold himself around to get what he needs.

my first attempt at him was pretty lackluster. i didn't know much of him at the time, only his wither video, and thus understood him mainly through his association with parrot. he seemed a lot more evil and more serious at first glance. like woah! fully fledged mouth and nose?! not anymore.

i cover certain expressive parts to also depict more of their personality in some abstract, holistic way. after watching streams and whatnot, spoke doesnt actually speak (excluding his random sounds and yips or whatever he does) too terribly much, except when the spotlight is on him or he's trying to get something. so, i tweaked his design to encompass that when i understood him better.

i take away his arms to allow his hands to stand out more (character movement thing, he moves around a lot when no one is paying attention to him, punches the air when ..not talking but making a point ig. he's a big fan of hovering menacingly), i give him a slinky-like outside skeletal structure to both capture his affinity for withers (i made him a wither thing because of the wither sounds in his video.. and the withers in general) and to give him the feeling of more freedom with his movement.

i also just really like gas masks so. basically, spoke is someone that hides away until he chooses to stand out. thank lord heaven he looks like some shadow creature.

later on i gave him more magenta highlights, especially in the wormhole era because 1. magenta wasnt heavily included in his rainbow look, making it stand out on his whole being, and 2. because magenta is really really cool and people should use it more.

og minecraft skin/branding

hi spokeis here. this will be quick because his branding is so heavy. lightning, rainbow, black. boom. character. withers and white eyes? easy. causes a lot of anarchy? again, lightning and withers.

planetlord on the other hand is someone i greatly differed from the og skin and branding. i saw the design in a vision idk. i shift his colors all the time in different pieces but i use more of his pfp colors now because there's too many purples in this world. his branding, personality, and voice all connect very well. a bit misleading, he's a bit of a weasel.

Movement

i never used to look into movement, but pvp styles and conversational movement of lifesteal is intriguing. unfortunately it was only something i started paying attention to during the end of s4 because vitalasy's movement was so interesting. he's a big fan of getting in people's faces.

ill be real, i didn't really notice spoke a lot during things because he was almost always never alone, and when he was it is always at a distance or you knew he had people to back him up.

spoke's movement isn't actually too abnormal. he's goal oriented and tends to always be doing something, and when he does he finds the most efficient way possible. pretty basic. his design choices are based mainly on voice and personality.

someone like mapicc on the other hand has very particular movement. he spins around people when fighting and gets right up in their face (in nethpot pvp mostly), so i made his clothing tighter to the skin with looser parts to accentuate that movement: practical clothing for close combat battles. it was also noticed (by the lord) that he tends to look straight forward instead of the slightly down that most players do.

zam fights differently, but i made him with the og branding (he's princezam) and what he does in mind. his body language in my art is more indicative of his personality.

shoutout the community, a notable amount of ideas were from the mid-late 2022 lifesteal community.

dog leowook and leather jacket mapicc were from gen, jackalope rek from aoi i think, "croptop" jacket spoke from saints-blade, snail terrain from navy-leader, tv ashswag from kish, sock puppet red definitely from someone i dont remember, 4 armed squiddo from seri, and old cartoon jaron was from bucket

Things that happened/istarted talking about cultural inspirations

spoke and his connection to godhood influenced his redesign greatly. this section affects what the character wears most of the time.

i give both spoke and vitalasy painted palms (alta) due to their connection with godhood and destruction, with spoke in particular reminding me a lot of Kali Ma, thus i gave him a skirt (due to nppp too). vitalasy's clothing is based on Indonesian cultural clothing. wemmbu's also takes inspiration from Indonesian and Bhutan cultural clothing.

indigenous cultures inspired some designs too (i do a lot of ethnographic anthropology work with some of the tribes i base the clothing off of), with woogie having Yupik and Inuit inspiration. polar bear = cold climate in my head. and leo has Haida and Yunnan (minority Chinese providence, not a tribe) inspiration.

bacon's... not bacon strip design's clothing was based on Bangladeshi clothing (im Bangladeshi, i also added alpona patterns to ash's design), nomadic cultures, and some german pilgrim thing?? idk not my best design. i specifically looked for nomadic inspiration because of his willingness to flee at any moment lol. i didnt do this for rek despite his fleeing reputation because i dont watch rek content too much and he already had hybrid traits that took care of that presentation.

poafa's design is a goat because of the medusa trials where he was used as a scapegoat. makes sense i think. his horns are from past associations with jepex that infected mapicc as well (devil trio s1). zam's design is very much from s3 empire and s4 castle.

planet's design changed slightly, mostly rounder shapes, but also the number of "spikes" on his scarf, now stuck at three because of 3ht.. and easier to draw than five. minutetech has a bow instead of a bowtie from jumper due to s5 happenings. the gem on his crown has wemmbu's highlights from his gem's main color.

roshambo's design was also heavily influenced by medusa where i gave him a snake body. in my art that depicts before medusa events he doesn't have the snake body, and same goes with before s4 spoke where i draw him with full pants. in some sketches ive depicted mapicc with a muzzle only after the destruction of s4 spawn due to quix's mapicc dog influence shoutout.

mapicc and ro have matching things that persist seasons (mapicc periwinkle collar, ro red painted ring finger... head finger?), as did subz and vitalasy with matching shoulder pads (beginning of s4 subz had a bandana and vitalasy had a bell that traded between them through artworks of mine) Vitalasy also gained sun and moon earrings. mid and 4c have matching hoods/cloaks ^_^ marriage or something.

It kinda feels sacrilegious to have Naoto call Chie his partner- cause that's like... the Souyo petname. But, I think he uses it in a more formal sense. I think... He also uses "my dear" (in the sense of "my dear Watson" since this Naoto is more performative about it than canon).

There's been debate about the differences between aibou and partner and how there isn't much of a direct translation, but I think it would fall back into that for the Yoosk and Nyarukami. I think it starts with "buddy" before falling back into something like that... as Nyarukami does weird out Yosuke at first before they actually spend time together!

Seeing as Nyarukami isn't a 1-1 Teddie, and does have his calm demeanor and same interests- just lacking leadership qualities. I think they get into some mischief (something this Yosuke sorely needs) and start to click afterwards... then Yosuke not only goes through his gay crisis, but his furry crisis as well. it's great.

Does anyone pun back at Nyarukami? Does Teddie still make bear puns?

For Teddie, I think the puns were sort of a substitute for his verbal tic in the og, but the sentiment of "being annoying to stay remembered" remains. Nyarukami's puns are less jokes, and more in line with verbal tics. He doesn't even know he's making them most the time and is audibly confused when someone tries to pun back at him.. before going, "oh! It's because I am a cat!" and then trying and failing to make a cat pun in return- because when he tries, they are terrible. "That's cat-tastic"

Teddie, while annoying as ever- does not bear pun. It's sad, true, but Nyarukami's got it covered.

Do you have any like, fav dynamics between characters in particular?

Uh, suprisingly- Yukiko and Yosuke? I'm trying not to let favoritism happen toooo much, but Yosuke being the only one to be on Yukiko's side at first is frighteningly charming.

He calls out the IT initially for assuming Yukiko is the killer. And since he's the first victim after the second murder, it's Yukiko who- having been suspicious of the IT- forces them to help her find him.

Naoto yipped as he was suddenly grabbed and slammed against the wall, the impact eliciting a sharp wheeze as the balled fists of his assailant crushed him where they held him.

Chie reacted almost immediately, an arm shooting out defensively between Naoto and the assailant- though it did little in holding the assailant from crushing him entirely.

"Start talking, Shirogane." The assailant- whom Chie remembered as Yukiko Amagi -growled, "I don't know.. I don't even care, how you somehow duped the new kid into your stupid little buddy cop roleplay, but you've been snooping around my place."

"I don't.. I don't know what you're talking about-" Naoto squeaked out, hands raised defensively. The reply resulted in slightly more crushing and the sneer on Amagi's face growing larger.

"Amagi-" Chie tried, recoiling as Amagi snapped a firey glare at her.

"Shut up." Amagi snapped, before turning back to Naoto, "I'm not stupid, and you of all people are less than subtle- You know something about him, you're doing something. .. and I for sure know that junk closet you hid in didn't have exits!"

"H..him..?" Naoto managed out, prompting Amagi to pull back and slam Naoto back into the wall- eliciting another harsh wheeze

"Don't suddenly play stupid, shortstack. I know it was you who broke in last night, looking for 'clues' about those murders on the news. T-the people that went missing-"

Amagi took a breath.

"He never misses more than two days. His parents won't let him, even when he's sick." Her voice got quieter, though it still held a quiet crackle as she continued. "Yosuke's been missing for four days- and-"

"Okay." Chie cut in, causing Amagi to ease up her grip, "Okay. Let him go, and we'll tell you, alright?"

A moment passed, maybe two- then, Amagi sighed, and let Naoto drop to the floor with a thud. The little detective scampering up from where he fell- falling in place, safely, behind Chie.

"That's a funny way of asking for help." Naoto grouched, smoothing out his shirt and adjusting his tie.
