To be honest I was more taken by the song, it's incorrectly sourced there so I had trouble finding it! It's From the Start by Laufey.

The lyrics are about someone suffering what they think is an unrequited love... so it makes the idea of Ace doing the card trick even more real. He wants Yuu to be impressed so badly, but he also sort of feels like it's a fools errand because they won't fully get that he's trying to flirt and think he's just being smug.
