Fear Not When climbing treacherous mountains, the best thing to do to meet your goal and conquer the fear of falling is to never look back or down, keep looking forward and up. This is the same concept through the journey of every aspect of life. Some of our best and memorable moments have come from being a part of something bigger than ourselves. So much of our world is reliant on self and what you can do on your own. Although I bring my skills and talents, to anything I do I will need to lean into what Jesus is doing and partner with him as I walk this out. * * * This week I return to my original roots as I begin my new position of, Community Engagement Director for Alpha Clinics. I come into this position with a heart for young families and my LOVE for babies. This opportunity also allows me to return to a faith-based nonprofit and some of the first relationships that I made here in Vacaville. I met Diedre Eckle and Denise Woods nearly 25+ years ago as we all had kids at Vacaville Christian Schools. Diedre has a daughter that is the same age as Evan, and they graduated together.  I have grown up with these women and have watched as they have poured so much of themselves into the ministry/mission of Alpha. I speak about Diedre in the present tense because her fingerprints all over Alpha. * * * This was not an easy decision for me.  It was only after meeting with the current Executive Director of Alpha and the CEO and realizing their vision and calling for our community was the same as mine and that I would partner with them to accomplish God's plans and purpose for Alpha.  I can't wait to see what God has in store for the future.
