Unfortunately you have a pathetic Feysand shipper on your post. Those people scare me cause if this were real life they would likely defend this shit under the premise "but it's morally grey" again excusing and justifying it especially the pregnancy plot when in reality this would be seen as abuse and is quite triggering to abuse survivors yet they can't even comprehend that fact because of how far up their own asses they are in defending their delusions. They say they don't try to push their opinions on others yet they go on a ten page essay on one of your posts. The biggest hypocrites around I tell ya.

Honestly, when I first woke up and saw that wall of text on my post, I was half-asleep and just stared at my screen like, “hey there, chill!”

And that wasn’t even the only one. I’ve got messages telling me I “know nothing about the books,” that I “just defend toxic people,” or that I am a “Tamlin stan” — even though I didn’t mention Tamlin once in that post.

All I did was express a personal opinion and try to engage with the story from a more grounded, real-life perspective.

And let’s be real: if your best friend was assaulted by someone known for mind manipulation, and a few months later she came to you saying she was “in love” with him, wouldn’t you pause and question what’s actually going on? That doesn’t make you toxic or heartless, it makes you concerned. And I sometimes feel like that’s exactly the point of the book being told through Feyre’s eyes: to experience her perspective as she saw it, whether or not it was influenced or manipulated.

That’s also why in ACOSF, when we see things from a different character’s point of view, the image of Rhys shifts — drastically. And it proves how perspective can hide or reveal truths, especially in morally grey narratives.

At the end of the day. That’s the beauty of literature , it invites thought, discussion, and debate. But maybe we could all try doing that without the ten-page essays and personal insults next time, yeah?

I’m not overreacting, you’ve just never experienced a Dominican mother’s anger with a chancleta before. The precision in the throw, the sting in the hit. The sheer brujería of it all. My mother could be in the living room, and I’d be turning a corner and somehow still get hit in the face. I’d be running in my socks, slipping and sliding trying to dodge and ditch the chancla.

The Weight I Carry in Silence

Today was supposed to be a calm, happy day. A public holiday — the kind of day that gives you space to breathe. I finally had time to relax, do my own thing while my husband lounged around on his phone. It wasn’t perfect, but it was peaceful.

Then my dad video called.

It was so good to see my family’s faces again — to laugh, to catch up, to feel like myself for a moment. Their voices, their smiles, their warmth… I miss that more than words can explain. We were mid-conversation, laughing about something lighthearted, when suddenly — her voice pierced through it all.

My mother-in-law. Loud. Rude. Interrupting. And worst of all, on full display to my family.

Everyone heard her. Her tone, her words — filled with resentment. There was no hiding the disdain, and I saw it in my mom’s eyes — that quiet worry, that sadness. That "is my daughter really okay there?" kind of concern. My heart sank. I felt exposed. Humiliated. Embarrassed in front of the people who love me the most.

That one moment undid the calm of the whole day.

And here I am again, feeling like I’m suffocating in a house that doesn’t want me. Living with my in-laws has become a slow, aching form of emotional torture — quiet but constant. The tension is always there. The judgment. The control. The subtle ways she chips away at any little peace I try to build.

I do my part. I clean. I help. I try. But somehow, it’s never enough. She still twists stories, makes accusations, tells others I’m not contributing — while I’m out here giving everything I’ve got just to earn a sliver of peace.

And my marriage? I’m scared.

Scared that this will eat away at us. That the small space left for joy will be swallowed by constant tension. That we’ll lose the tenderness. That being husband and wife will turn into roommates avoiding conflict.

My mother-in-law has made it very clear: no matter what I do, she won’t accept me. And I’ve run out of energy trying to make her change her mind.

Sometimes, depression doesn’t come from one moment. It comes from many little moments that pile up quietly — until even the happiest days carry a shadow. It’s not just sadness. It’s the heaviness of feeling invisible. Unheard. Constantly walking a tightrope between hope and exhaustion.

I didn’t choose this pain. I didn’t come into this marriage expecting to feel like a stranger in my own life.

I just wanted a home. A partner. A safe place to grow.

But now I wonder: where do I belong, when the walls I live within constantly push me out?
