Put your sword and shield down

We've all been in this spot, situations or events where you are either put on a spot,the whole world is against you or it can feel that way like you just can't win😃 and you know that you can't ,because no matter what you say your words will be twisted in different ways and thrown back at you,that fire is blazing and you understand that you're only going to add more fuel if you continue with the conversation  you're given no chance or very little time to speak to explain your side of the story,thats when you need to put your sword and shield down or away, because at this point you can't win,you're just not allowed to lol,truth is what is what you believe is true for you,and their truth is all that matters,no they don't care to hear your side of the story all that matters,in their minds is theirs and theirs alone,so putting your sword and shield down is you knowing you can't win and having respect for yourself and leaving that situation or space,and it's a courageous thing to do because you kind of accept loosing and be ok with it that you probably be called a coward and that's not easy to do,all that will be thrown at you for walking away, all kinds of judgments, etc. You walking away from them is self-love; protecting yourself in that way is you choosing you. No, you don't always have to win, and that takes a lot. When you decide that you don't need to overexplain or defend yourself, that's how you know grace.
