☾ : Sleep

Even when having one of his admittedly frequent nightmares, Erik doesn’t move much in his sleep. Individual parts of his body may move, but he rarely has a full-body upheaval and he rarely turns over. The one vague exception to this is when he sleeps with someone else, something he hasn’t done for many years: he wraps around them, rather like a steel python.

☼ : Childhood

Max, his parents, and his sister all lived in a very small house, which was frequently invaded by his uncles and grandparents. It was the physical centre of the family, and always bursting with both life, noise, and people. Max, who was rather quieter than many of his relatives, often felt the need to escape when the house was at its most active--although 'escape' might be the wrong word, as he rarely went out of sight of the front door without first informing his mother of where he was going.

☯ : Genderbent

(I'm assuming always-a-girl!AU--I suspect that her name would not have been 'Maxine', and I doubt she would have changed it to 'Erika', so I'll just use female pronouns because I haven't put thought into the name yet.)

She wears her hair long, but never down--it is almost always pulled back into a ponytail. That is, in some ways, inconvenient for fighting, as it gives your opponent something to hold on to, but she rarely engages in close physical combat, preferring to use her gift to kill or incapacitate in most situations.

☮ : Bedroom/house/living quarters

Erik grew uncomfortable with disorder in his living space in the years after Magda and before Charles, and has never felt much need to make his space look like his own. He is barely present at all in the places he occupies, decor left the way it came, not personal in the slightest. Furthermore, he keeps himself militarily in order--his things could be packed up into a single bag and gone in only a few minutes. And there is almost nothing that he couldn't bear to leave behind.

☄ : Any AU headcanon

(Brogan and Lily know this AU as happy-AU-where-no-one-dies.)

Max elopes with Magda before ever bringing her home to meet his family. They were aware that he was seeing her and knew her generally, had even met her, but never as 'Max's fiancée'. He never even told them that he had proposed, opting to ask for forgiveness rather than permission.

♤ : Cooking headcanon

Erik is a surprisingly competent cook, although that may be due to his good memory. He vaguely remembers some of his mother's cooking--one thing, to be exact, a kugel, which he has replicated only once since her death. He more accurately remembers Magda's cooking, but he rarely copies her exactly--the association is too strong. Rather, he copies general ideas and partial meals, when he cooks. Which is actually rather infrequently, as it takes far too long.

☻ : Mood headcanon

While Erik has a documentably explosive temper, it is something that he has very well under control, even pre-XM:FC. He gets angry easily, but he channels the anger. He uses it. It's rare that he is entirely out of control of his temper, though it's frequent that he shows it. On the typical, though, he seems very collected, even cool.
