Even seated, it was possible to tell that the woman was unusually tall. The length of her limbs and neck added an ethereal grace to her beauty. She was, he thought, something that belonged in a fairy tale. Even so, there was a discomfort to her about her body, as if she was a much smaller woman forced to occupy the space that she was given. Perhaps she had been made to be smaller than she was in truth because of the unasked for commentary of others who felt a need to remind her of her height or to make her feel like the Other due to something beyond her control.

Her physicality was not the only thing unique about her. No, she was able to see things that were beyond the comprehension of normal human experience. Things that fascinated Hannibal for how elusive they were.

She was, simply put, fascinating.

      he doesn’t really know what he’s doing here, standing outside ravi’s quarters. after all, the way things have been lately, there’s no way in hell ravi will ever let him in. but to be honest, he doesn’t have anywhere else to go. he doesn’t have anyone to talk to. not about this. so here he stands, just waiting for an answer.

      as the door slides open, ramor locks eyes with the trill he’d come to see, and he can feel a weight hit in the pit of his stomach.  “ hi, ”  is all he can say at first. but before he even knows it, he’s pleading his case.  “ before you shut me out again like you probably should, i just wanted to apologize. for everything. & for right now. i know i’m the last person you ever want to see, but i --- i didn’t know where to go. i didn’t even know i was coming here until i ended up here at your door, & i  .  .  .  i’m just sorry. for all of it. ”

How self serving do you consider Kol again?

FAIRLY self-serving, but with a lot of perspective. Like he’s kind of the opposite of altruistic, but he’s going to make sure that Big Bad Things™ don’t happen because it’s generally inconvenient and he doesn’t want to have to live through the panic and unpleasantness that goes with it. He ultimately is looking out for himself and like the two other people he might care about, though.

The call was short and when he came to the infirmary, she was laying so still on a biobed with tubes running from her nose and mouth to wires connected to her head and arms. The curve of the surgical equipment covering her middle. On the outside, there seemed to be no damage, but Julian would have to only inform him of how severe the damage was.

      as soon as he received the call, khan felt a wave of cold DREAD wash over him. he made his way to the medbay as quickly as he could, but he stopped dead in his tracks when he reached the threshold. even with the knowledge that there had been an accident, he was not prepared for the sight of pan. he approached her biobed slowly, almost fearing what he knew he would see, & he began to examine the machinery connected to her. 

      though she appeared unharmed externally, she was unconscious, & he could sense the extent of the damage within her. her heartbeat was irregular, her lungs hardly worked, her brainstem couldn’t send the correct impulses --- the list went on & on. & that was precisely why she was here, lying so still & calm.

      as he came to stand beside her bed, he looked over the monitors & carefully took her hand. she was warm, still, just as he’d always known her to be. but perhaps she was a bit too warm, as though her body was working hard to repair itself. as he examined her quietly, he listened to julian recount what had happened & what had been done up until now. just as he’d expected & was disappointed to hear, her prognosis was very poor.

      no one knew what to do now because, realistically, they knew that there was nothing to be done. she was beyond saving, even for an augment. even so, he didn’t want to believe it. there had to be a way, a solution. but in this moment, none came to mind.

      instead, there was only khan at pan’s bedside, holding her hand in his, & the words  ‘ don’t go yet, it’s not your time ’  on his mind.

               Cas opens and closes his mouth, lets his gaze wander. He’s not used to any kind of acceptance from his siblings the past several years, much less... direct praise. So maybe they don’t mean it as praise. He can’t remember, anymore; is bravery a good thing in Heaven’s books, or a bad thing, if it’s noticable enough to be mentioned? He doesn’t trust anything resembling kindness to be without an ulterior motive from any angel, not anymore. So his answer is wary,    ❝ Anyone would do the same for a cause they consider worthy. ❞

The fact that Damon had issues trusting people wasn’t helping him right now. Did he want to talk about it? Yeah but every fiber in his being screamed at him not too because it could be used against him. He was selfish and good at being the bad guy and he just want to leave himself open to anything, even when he wanted to talk. “Trust me, there’s not much to tell,” he lied. It was easier and she seemed nice but it would be better for her if she didn’t have to deal with him. “You’re being far to kind right now and I can’t allow you to get caught in the middle of the mess that’s my life.”
