So in Season 1, during the intimate scene, we saw more than we need to because it was showcasing how we are invading their privacy by watching.

In Season 2, it faded to black after they closed the curtains because this moment is only for them and no one else should be able to watch them now.

Following this, I honestly expected that they wouldn’t have shown us more than they did in season 1 cause they did it before with a purpose BUT I WAS WRONG.

Now that I think about it, it’s completely fitting that they showed is these scenes explicitly and not just implied some of the things happening like in previous seasons. I thought it would’ve been for no reason to do so anymore but I completely went over the fact that this is how it is. THEY ARE PUBLIC NOW. Everything they do, there are people watching. They no longer have actual privacy, everyone will be able to see them and make comments and assumptions whether they want to or not.

And I think it’s just amazing how these intimate scenes are written based on the stages of their relationship.

If it was Wille who buried his nose in Simon's sweater, inhaling the scent over and over like he is in heat or bit his lip with glistened eyes with a loaded expression and then looking at something that reminded him their very intimate and passionate moments,

we would have made fun of him so bad because how pathetic it was and then it is Simon, and it makes my heart pinch. Because he is trying so hard and Wille doesn't go away at all. He is always on his mind, no matter how hard he tries.

Let's be real. Whatever scent is that sweater has before, it must have completely worn off by Valentine's Day Ball and here, Simon is still smelling it, not because the sweater smells like Wille anymore, it is because he wants to etch his memory of the kiss to the sweater as the events from last night still plays in his mind non-stop.

Because he wants, he yearns, he loves.

We, as humans can perfectly remember smells, so vividly and like it was yesterday. Sweater is just a prop, he doesn't even need it. Every memory is already playing in his head the whole time. This and everything else, probably since the Christmas Break.

(except for the music room misunderstanding but my babygirl was just confused and has unreal expectations about his brother bc that’s his standard for his own existence and felt that Simon comparing Erik to Sara was an attack on his own character through his brother’s bc Simon clearly can’t stand his sister rn and Sara deliberately hurt both of them while Erik didn’t do anything to them bc you know ☠️)
