Huh at 1997 Worlds, Canadian Yvonne Tousek was spotted by Russian head coach Arkayev on bars instead of the head Canadian coaches at the time, Andrei Rodionenko and Elvira Saadi.

“Virtually a tie between Yvonne Tousek, Michelle Conway, and Julie Beaulieu.”
I mean, it IS a tie between Tousek and Beaulieu.

for the like/dislike thing: eythora
I really love Eythora. Her floor routines remind me a little of the Canadian floor routines from the 1997-2000 quad like Yvonne Tousek which is always a good thing. Her skill selection on beam is also quite nice and I would love for her to fully hit her new beam routine somewhere where it matters because I think it’s too nice to not reward. I hope she can improve her consistency this year because honestly she could come away with several medals at Worlds if everything goes to plan for her. I wish her bars was more interesting though, that’s the one event I don’t really care for her on.

Also, I definitely can’t name the entire 2000 Canadian Olympic team (I know Yvonne Tousek and Kate Richardson, obviously, but that’s it), so this should be a fun experience!
