It is absolutely tragic that there is no Yandere Zack Fair tag on AO3! How can this be!?!? Someone (meaning me) should change that IMMEDIATELY! 😱😱😱

I literally have SO MANY clack/zakkura fanfic ideas where Zack is kinda like a closet yandere who simps hard for his blonde bestie and has been searching for him for a long time. And it's not the abusive type yandere but like the psychotically protective, somewhat stalkery 'i will end anyone who hurts you' type of yandere.

I started writing it in like 2022 and dropped it, and now I'm interested in writing it again. I'm already three chapters in, and it's soo juicy and painful lmao! The rough synopsis is that Tifa and Aerith fall in love and get married, and it totally breaks Clouds heart because he was very in love with Tifa. Before the wedding, Cloud kind of disappears from the group for about five years and gets into a very toxic relationship with someone who completely takes advantage of his heartbreak and deteriorating mental state.

Then, years later, Cloud gets invited to the wedding and forces himself to go and be happy for his old friends. He puts on a front because he cares for both Tifa and Aerith and only wants their happiness.

But then.... Zack and Cloud meet again at the wedding for the first time in five years. Before Cloud left, Zack and him got into a heated argument, and then Cloud pulled another one of his disappearing acts. Zack had been looking for Cloud for a while, but realized that Cloud didn't want to be found and decided to leave him alone, against his own better judgment.

The real kicker that gets this plot going, is that at the wedding Zack observes Cloud's every movement like a hawk, taking in every detail with increasing worry. Zack notices that Cloud's lost a ton of weight, is covered in wounds and scars that Cloud quickly dismisses as 'mercenary work', that Cloud speaks numbly with a voice that is more monotone and withdrawn than Zack has ever heard, as if Cloud has completely checked out and lost the light in his blue eyes. The worst of all, when Cloud moves to take a glass of champagne Aerith offers him, Zack can see the wounds on his arm and neck, covered with bandages. Those marks are not those caused by fiends, but by a human.

And after the wedding, Zack decides that if Cloud won't take care of himself and treat himself right, then Zack will do it for him. He proceeds to infiltrate Cloud's life and turn it upside down. Oooh, drama! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

It's very much a dramatic hurt/comfort fic with lots of sensual tension, spice, and fluffy lovey dovey scenes. Just with a yandere zack hehehe!!! 😈

I’m thinking of liverpepper… and it’s making me sad.

So here, have a AU brain dump over cloud and his Geostigma:

I know we’ve seen Mako drawn as tablets, but I kind of imagine Clouds Mako days as being either injections like steroids or him having to go to the hospital for specific mako treatment, like chemotherapy.

Cloud was off school a lot. As a result he had to work twice as hard as everyone else just to keep up and graduate. His friends always brought him his homework, but there were some teachers (you know the ones) who made him feel guilty about how often he got laid up.

Like it got bad enough that now Cloud kind of has a complex about it as an adult, and Leon has to keep reminding him that he’s not weak for letting his body heal.

We know (from sora) that Mako used to affect his memory, make him pretty much a zombie. But I imagine that it’s worse straight after treatment. Like he’ll be in bed for two or three days but then for the next week -maybe two if it’s bad- Cloud kind of used to walk around in a haze. Squall, Zack, Tifa and Aerith used to tag team on who would guide him from lesson to lesson.

Squall used to act as a bit of a body guard with Zack. If anyone dared gossip about Cloud or try to make his day more difficult while he was vulnerable, they’d end up having the terrible twosome descend on then. Turns out there a lot of ways you can threaten someone without getting caught.

Cloud didn’t stop taking Mako until age 18. And he absolutely has been hospitalised by it.

He’s had Mako poisoning twice, and each time people truly thought he would die.

He was part of a clinical trial for materia to begin with, and it meant he had to forgo Mako treatments for 4 months (to get it out of his system) before they could start him on Materia.

Those four months were probably the most fraught and painful of his life. He spent most of it asleep and in agony, while Squall refused to leave him ‘just incase’. The entire friend group rallied to try and make it easier.

The first month on Materia was also not fun. Lot of knew side effects while his body got used to it. Some got easier, some he still has. He doesn’t suffer from tinnitus or depth perception issues anymore, but he still has periodic bouts of insomnia. He also deals with almost chronic heart burn.

Materia doesn’t effect his memory like the Mako, but it doesn’t help either. The Mako did a serious number on his brain tissue, and while doctors are sure his brain will recover, it seems to be a long arduous process.

Sometimes Cloud requires a mobility aid. Sometimes a cane, sometimes crutches, sometimes -if it’s bad- he needs a wheelchair to get round a supermarket or mall. It depends on the day, the spoons and the sores.

The first thing Cloud demanded be done when they adopted Sora and Roxas, was that they get them checked for the Geostigma Gene. He knows they are not - biologically speaking -able to get it from him, but Leon agrees just to settle Clouds anxieties about it.

Nowerdays his Geostigma is the most manageable it’s ever been, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy.

Lockdown was scary In their house. It’s no exaggeration to say Squall whipped down every surface, sanitised every piece of food packaging, made sure anybody with even a sniffle quarantined as soon as it happened. And Cloud -for all his griping that it was fine appreciated it.

after lockdown rules started easing Sora and Roxas started feeling super anxious about going out incase the brought something back. Because it wasn’t a joke to them.

Cloud himself dealt with a sudden surge of powerful anxiety even going out the front door.

Squall got him one of those sunflower lanyards, that lets people know you are immunocompromised, and it helps a little, but they all felt different about going outside.

These are just a few thinly thoughts.

I am a FF7 compilation fan, but adore the OG. I am primarily Crisis Core focused at the moment and tend to translate interactions between the primary characters of Sephiroth, Angeal, Genesis, and Zack.

I do also love Cloud and Aerith and many of the OG characters. I find Hojo, Gast, Vincent, and Lucrecia fascinating and will not engage in their character debates, but I may show some interest in their storylines as well. I do not engage in shipping activity and attempt to remain largely neutral in regards to fandom discourse.

"So you've got a date decided, then?"

Adriel stopped pacing at the question, his hand coming up to grip the wrist of the hand holding his phone to his ear.

He wasn't sure if Zack had initially called to talk about wedding plans, excitable as he was. The answer to THAT particular question was up in the air, but Adriel never minded speaking with him at any rate.

And Zack's question WAS going to come up eventually.

"Yeeesss," he answered tentatively, looking out one of his living room windows. The day had passed by rather quickly, but it was difficult to ascertain just HOW quickly based on how early the sun set this time of year.

"What do you mean 'Yeeeessss,' you gonna tell me or what?" Zack prompted. At this point, it didn't matter why he called, Adriel knew that the conversation was now irrevocably wedding-related, regardless of initial intention.

He sighed, unable to help but smile, not doing so a difficult enough challenge around Zack in general.

"Why? Thinking about letting your plus one know? And your plus one's plus one?"

"Sure am! Cloud's not usually the type to go to these sort of things, but he'll have a good time since you and Angeal are my friends. And you're gonna LOVE Bee," Zack began to ramble, only stopping as he heard Adriel chuckle, "What? Are you laughing at me? Come on, just tell me."

Adriel's smile spread further, and he leaned against the back of the couch, placing a hand on the edge to support himself.

"You'll get your card in the mail the same day as everyone else, Zack."

A huff on the other end of the line made him giggle.

"Might as well send out the invitations already if that's how it's gonna be."

This brought a blush to Adriel's face rather than a smile, one of his hands instinctively coming up to cover the lower half of his face.

"W-We're still working on those. The save the date cards will be out tomorrow, Reeve's not letting me skimp out on the actual invitations. He wants us to make something nice, I don't know. It's not really a big deal to us, they're just cards," he mumbled.

Zack made some sort of exasperated whine that truly hammered home what a puppy he was.

"They're not, though! You and Angeal are two out of three of my BEST FRIENDS! So you make something with heart, 'cause I'm gonna keep it FOREVER."

"Zack…" Adriel murmured, touched by the sentiment. It didn't come as too much of a surprise, but it incited a strong emotional response regardless.

"So is that why you're not doing field work right now? Reeve's got you on leave so you can plan the wedding? By the way it sounds, it's gonna be pretty soon."

"You can say that, yeah," Adriel's eyes scanned the room as he adjusted the phone. That was all he would say on the matter, and it was clear Zack knew he wasn't getting any more out of him, "You doing delivery work with Cloud right now? Working even on your days off, huh?"

"Of course! Holidays are coming up, and Cloud can use all the help he can get. It's like everyone in Midgar and their mom need a package sent, it's CRAZY. What about Angeal? He helping you out today?"

Adriel paused and then sighed.

"He's in Junon with Genesis, heading security detail for Rufus. They're expanding on the self-sustaining energy plan over there, and a lot of people who still support Shinra's old cause are… Unhappy, to say the least."

"Damn. They couldn't get Sephiroth to do it?" Zack's pout was nearly audible.

"He and Owen are helping Reeve check out the old reactor in Corel. Trying to make sure it's not causing any problems. It's been all hands on deck lately. Except for me, I guess," Adriel let out a breath through his nose, his own pout materializing as he ran the circumstances over in his head again.

"That really sucks. But Reeve's right, at least one of you needs to start on those wedding plans. And you know Angeal's no good at that sort of thing," Good ol' Zack, trying to remain positive despite everything.

"And I am?" Adriel only half-joked, tilting his head back to stare at the ceiling. "It's not gonna be a big deal. We're just taking a handful of you guys to Banora. Might have Lazard officiate, might have Genesis. It depends on if Genesis can behave himself. He REALLY wants to officiate, by the way."

"Oh I'll bet! Good luck with that, have Lazard put something together just in case."

This got another chuckle from Adriel, Zack responding with a pleased hum.

"Angeal calling you often?" Zack minorly changed the subject.

A smile returned to Adriel's lips, soft and affectionate.

"At LEAST twice a day."

"Ohhh, at least, huh? Do I wanna know what any extra phonecalls might be about?"

The comment was so brazen that Adriel couldn't suppress a flustered laugh in time.

"ZACK!"

"Guess I don't! Alright, I'll stop. When's he coming home, anyway?"

As Adriel looked out the window, the sun was setting low, the sky ablaze with warm colors that incited a sense of romanticism.

"Hopefully? Tomorrow or the day after. My money's on the day after, God knows how long Rufus is going to be doing his thing over there. I was a SOLDIER, I never understood the bureaucracy thing."

His audible disappointment was interrupted as the doorbell rang, eyes narrowing to a squint.

"That's not you at the door, is it?"

"Me? Nah, I'm in Sector 7 right now. This is my last round for the day. Why, you want me to come over?"

Adriel frowned thoughtfully, approaching the door but keeping his phone loosely at his ear.

"You can if you want, but I-"

"A little chilly out here, hope there's someone home to warm me up," came a familiar and far more than welcome voice from behind the door.

Eyes widening, Adriel nearly dropped the phone.

"I have to go."

"Uh, okay see y-" Zack was cut off as Adriel hung up and tossed the phone onto the couch.

After a quick dash to the door, he all but flung it open, the ultimate object of his desire standing there, rolling his shoulder. Angeal had probably been holding that traveling bag for a while if he had walked all the way home from the bus station.

As the door opened before him, Angeal stopped mid-stretch, a grin immediately spreading across his face.

"Oh, lucky me. My angel was home after all, good. I don't think I could have waited another minute to see you again."

The tears that sprung to Adriel's eyes were expected, his weepy expression paired with a deep blush making Angeal laugh.

"I'll take that as to meaning the feeling is mutual. Can I get a-"

He was ultimately unable to finish the request, as Adriel had flung himself at him so hard and so quickly that he had to drop his bag to catch him.

As always, Angeal was a brick wall that didn't budge an inch, no matter how hard Adriel threw himself at him. As he heard Angeal laugh again, feeling his strong arms wrap around him as he buried himself in his chest, he whimpered in the most pathetic and unflattering manner.

"What? What's the matter my angel? Don't cry, I'm here," Angeal chuckled while offering a tight squeeze.

"I ju-just! L-love you so mu-uch!" came Adriel's weepy reply, gripping the fabric of Angeal's shirt so hard it was a wonder it hadn't begun to tear.

Humming affectionately, Angeal placed a kiss on the top of Adriel's head.

"I know. I love you too. Let's go inside, mh? It's cold out here, and I did ask if someone could warm me up. Someone being you, if that wasn't clear," Angeal half-teased, not releasing Adriel as he leaned to the side to pick up his bag.

Proceeding to move the straps down to the crook of his elbow, Angeal didn't hesitate to turn his hug into a bridal carry, reveling in the yelp that it incited.

"Angeal!" Adriel exclaimed with a sniffle, his arms immediately wrapping around Angeal's neck by habit alone.

"Hope you weren't in the middle of any wedding planning. Because we've got a lot of 'warming up' to catch up on."

Something in the Orange – Zack Bryan

            “take me back to us dancin’ (this wood used to creak)”

DEFINITELY a really sad fitzier fic, and likely Crozier-centric. The line that precedes this one is “your voice only trembles when you try to speak,” so I’m absolutely envisioning a bedside vigil fic set sometime in season 9, in that tent. I’m not necessarily the most creative, right now, so I am just seeing a scene where Crozier is thinking about his affection for Fitzjames, or even a literal flashback to a moment where they had some privacy and were able to dance together, even if it was in silence.

I’m just seeing something angsty and at the end of things, and leaving it open whether or not they get rescued or if it follows canon’s events.  

Voices of the Dead – Flobots

            “the shadow of another person living parallel (a vision of a better life)”

I can see this being a fitzier fic after they return to England. This one is probably from Fitzjames’ perspective, though it could probably be a dual POV piece that’s longer. Lots of longing and Victorian times social propriety. I’ve had a scene in mind for the two of them for a long time that would probably fit in here. It involves the two of them going to the opera and seeing Dido and Aeneas, and Fitzjames having a lot of feelings about Dido’s Lament (technically called “When I Am Laid in Earth”) when it comes about. Idk how I’d work in the lyrics, but the aria starts with “when I am laid in earth, may my wrongs create no trouble in thy breast,” and culminates with “remember me, but ah, forget my fate,” and I can’t stop thinking that Fitzjames would have really intense feelings about nearly dying in the arctic as Dido’s singer performs the scene. Like, I can imagine James wanting to be remembered, but didn’t want his memory to be painful to Crozier, so that directly parallels to the lyrical content of the aria. And while James is trying to keep his composure, he completely misses Crozier having an equally emotionally fraught moment literally right beside him in the opera box. And of course that all bubbles up into an emotional confession between them, but the specifics are a bit beyond me at this point.

Toxicity – System of a Down

            “somewhere between the sacred silence and sleep”

I am incapable of not having ideas for things that are deeply introspective and moody, but also relatively short, so I’m inclined to set this on the eve of their walk out on the ice. Probably from Crozier’s point of view, and it’s just him and Fitzjames in the wardroom, planning. They’ve been at it for a long while and have most of what little planning they are capable of planning for laid out, and they lapse into silence. Maybe Crozier just starts thinking about how his relationship with Fitzjames has evolved, how much closer they are, and starts to acknowledge that he’s crossed from tolerating Fitzjames into feeling genuine affection for him. Maybe again, since I’m also horribly drawn to angst in my ideas, despite it always making me so sad, Fitzjames falls asleep on the table and Crozier, giving into his affection, brushes the hair from his forehead and discovers the blood along his hairline, and very suddenly he has to grapple with the fact that Fitzjames is not as well as he pretends to be. Maybe he resolves to stay by Fitzjames as long as he is able to, since their time together is now even more limited than he feared.

Currently reading: nothing specific at the moment, just different fanfics, haha. My sister really wants me to start reading one of her favorite series, but I can't ever seem to dredge up the willpower to do it.

Last movie you watched: The whole way through? The Mario movie. I've seen bits and pieces of others since then whenever my mom's watching one, but not the whole thing.

I'm not counting the Rise movie since that's just a permanently open tab on my laptop now.

Craving: Frozen yogurt. Or a bacon avocado cheeseburger. Or steamed buns. Or all of them. It's been a while since I've had them, and I want some.

What are you wearing right now: Stitch pajamas when I started this, but work clothes right now since I'm at work.

How tall are you: 5'3"

Piercings: I guess my ears? Pretty sure one or both of them have closed over by now, though.

Tattoos: None. At most, I've done those fake paper ones that used to come with packs of gum, but nothing permanent. Don't really plan to, either.

Glasses? Contacts?: Both. Since middle school. Used to hate glasses, but now I love them. Only thing I don't like is the poor vision that comes with it, haha. Contacts are for work or trips to places like theme parks where I'm afraid they'll fall off on a ride or something.

Last drink: Water. If we're talking alcoholic...I don't even remember. I'm not a big drinker.

Last thing I ate: Pizza for dinner. And breakfast since I was too lazy to make anything.

I don't even know what toppings were on these but they were delicious.

Last show: TMNT, specifically, "The Real World" from the 03 series. I need my reference video.

Favorite Color: Red and purple. Green is nice too.

Current obsession: I think it's pretty obvious, lol. TMNT.

Unrelated obsession: ... I'm not sure what to put here. Fluffy things? Cute things like penguin stickers? ...Pokémon?

Any pets: 4 cats, 2 dogs, all rescues. We are very much a "You're coming home with me" family.

Crush on anyone?: No one that's real, lol, and my fictional "crushes" are said more as a joke more than anything. Am I opposed to the idea of romance and being in a relationship? Not at all, but I'm not gonna go out of my way to find one or stress out about it either. If it happens, it happens, and if not, that's cool too.

Favorite fictional characters: Now these I have a lot of. Yusuke Urameshi, Yagami Taichi, Gary Oak, Roronoa Zoro (although I love all the strawhats really), Michelangelo (though again, I love pretty much all the ninja turtles), Knuckles, Tails, Professor Layton, Donald Duck, Sora, Cloud Strife, Vincent Valentine, Zack Fair, Maes Hughes (and most of the FMAB cast), Luigi, and many more. These are just some of the first ones that come to mind, but it would take too long if I did all of them, lol.

Forbidden Door 2023 Review

Hello, welcome to my pro wrestling Review Blog.

As this is my first post i would like to make my intoduction short and sweet.

If you do not already know me, I have been a fan of wrestling for the past 3 years and I don't watch WWE

I have chosen Forbidden Door to be the introduction to my reviews as I feel that is not only the best PayPerView we've had all year but demonstrates a decebt chunk of my favorite wrestling talent. That being said, I would have loved to see some nore Lucha on the card.

I wont be going in depth on the buy-in so I'll just say this:

I love to see more Trios in AEW, i think thats a great way of showing off lesser developed talent.

Athena is great and should be on TV more.

I like how they used the Stu Grayson vs El Phantasmo match to sort of update casual audiences that these 2 competitors are no longer in the faction you might remember them last being in (Dark Order and Bullet Club respectively)

And with the Buy in out of the way lets dive into this event!

AEW World Championship, Hiroshi Tanahashi vs MJF

So usually I would have an issue with starting a ppv with the World Champion match, but I think Forbidden Door is lends itself more slack since it's a crossover event, meant to celebrate the talent and succsess of both companies. It's for this same reasoning that I will allow the more casual builds to these matches.

To me it seems MJF vs Tanahashi is made to show how well both athletes compete in a more American, slow paced, sportsman showboaty style of wrestling.

MJF as the heel works well at doing very obvious cowardly tactics. Tanahashi does an equal job acting as the milktoast babyface, starting chants with the audience and working to outsmart his opponent.

Somewhere halfway through the match we see another staple of American wrestling psychology, the worked injury. With MJF emphasisizing pain in his left knee. We saw this same concept utilized by MJF's previous opponent and, soon to be, tag team partner Adam Cole. Could this be a sign that MJF and Cole have more in common than either of them realize?

MJF ends the match using the ultimate heel weapon of the modern era, his Dynamite Diamond Ring.

Overall this was a very textbook American Televesion style wrestling match and I enjpyed it in its slower pace and simplicity.

(I won't be doing grades, because im just a guy on tumblr, just read what I wrote before this)

Hideo Kojima vs CM Punk

So during the build to this match it was rumored that KENTA would be punks opponent, but as we learned last week, that was not the case. I for one, am a big KENTA and New Japan Strong fan, and as he is currently their champion, I am preferable to KENTA not losing anytime soon. Especially to CM Punk who I am expecting to go all the way in this Owen Hart Tournament

Speaking of Punk, he did not have the warm reception he is used to. A lot of people will say he was booed out the building but in my opinion it was %60-%40 Booing Punk.

This match was fine. It wasn't bad by any means but the only spots I would find as stand out are when Punk was referencing his role models, Hulk Hogan and Himself.

Overall I like the offence Kojima brought when he got fired up and I applaud Phil's adaptation to working this match as a heel.

4-Way Match for the AEW Intecontinental Title, Zack Sabre Jr, Katsuyori Shibata, Daniel Garcia, and Orange Cassidy

Before the event began I would have pointed to this match as sleeper hit of the night. After everything it's still tied second for me.

I have to say that this year has been the year Zack Sabre Jr became one of my new favorite wrestlers, his technical wrestling skills and ring psychology are absolutley out of this world, and you have him in the ring with a legend like Shibata, an upcoming technical student Garcia, and the deceptively slippery grapple workings of Orange Cassidy, and you're sure to get wrestling Gold.

Quick note, if I had a serious complaint about this match it would be that Zack Sabre Jr didn't come out to his usual TMDK theme Young Punks. I really like that song.

This match started with Orange using his standard pathetic kicks as a way of getting into the head of all 3 of his opponents but once he started to get some hest we saw Daniel Garcia establish that if anyone is going to try a non grappling move it will be shut down shortly.

Daniel Garcia being the only Sports Entertainer of this match adds an interestling wrinkle as the rest of athletes treat him as almost an after thought.

We've seen Daniel Garcia struggle with his identity as a Sports entertainer vs his skills as a pro wrestler, and with this match it seems that Shibata might be the key factor that Bryan Danielson couldn't be when it comes to bringing Daniel Garcia to the side of Pro wrestling.

Conversly we see the dynamic between ZSJ and OC start to develope, as it seems the style of dominating tekking that Zack has in his arsenal is the perfect counter to oranges momentum based offense, that mixed with the fact we've seen Orange Cassidy growing increasingly tired I think we could see Zack become the Intercontinental champion sometime soon.

Not today though as it was Oranges opurtunity seizing rollup that earned him another day as champ.

Overall this match was a personal fav and on any other night aould be candidate for match of the night.

IWGP World Heavyweight Championshio, Jungleboy Jack Perry vs Sanada

If the MJF vs Tanahashi was to showcase american wrestling to an international audience, this match was that for Japanese style competetive wrestling.

So a lot of people aren't hot for this match but I personally really like this matchup. Jack Perry is a Los Angeles native so I will always have that homestate suppprt for him, but I also really like how his character is very casual and soft. It makes him the perfect babyface contender for any world championship, that with his solid in ring work makes him a great choice for the New Japan championship.

In the build to this Sanada said he was not familiar Jack Perry, and to me that is classic japanese style of promo. From what I've seen its common for japanese wrestlers to try and belittle the status of their opponent rather than the american style of straight up shit talking. And as Jack is not an ex WWE talent, a lot of people already right him off as an unknown.

This match was very good if a little underwhelming. The psychology works well with Sanada constantly underestimating his opponent and Jack using his unique offense to catch Sanada off guard but with matches later in the night, there really was no way this match could live up to the sort of intensity New Japan matches usually bring.

Ultimatly it was Sanadas imposing size, strength, and experience that won him the match.

Overall I feep this match was very good in a vacuum but ok this card unfortunatly it will be overshadowed.

Another factor in this match being overshadowed could be the angle post match. Where we saw Jungleboy turn on his so called Best Friend Hook, in an attempt to threaten him for his FTW championship. I personally would have rather seen this team drag on for another week or 2, it seems like the real heat was that he turned on Hook and not that he turned on a friend. I would have like to see a moment where we think Hook is starting to appreciate and need Jungleboy the same way Jungleboy needed Christian Cage.

The Elite (Hangman Adam Page and the Young Bucks), Eddie Kingston, and Tomohiro Ishii vs The Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta, and Claudio Castagnoli), Konosuke Takeshita, and Shota Umino

I didn't realize what kind of task I put onto myself until I got to this match.

So this match is full of Elite style "Whos friends with who," drama that makes chismosos like me go wild.

I love to see Eddie Kingston on payperview anytime. His raw aggression is something that nobody else in wrestling could replicate at this time.

Mox being the defacto captain of this team of roughneck badasses is a very entertaining sight.

Hangman and the bucks are great whitemeat babyfaces in this match filled with mean muggers.

Seeing Ishii and Kingston team together has me thinking about the chances of Kingston joining Chaos, but then we would have to get used to the idea of Eddie teaming up with Best Friends and Orange Cassidy. Which... Im not entirely against.

If theres one thing AEW has been able to do consistantly well its the multiman matches.

Its truly impressive how much chaos and drama they are able to fit while maintiaining a throughline through the action so that nobody is stepping on anyone elses time.

Honestly I wouldn't be able to track the action in a way that does it justice, but if this is your first time watching these athletes I would like to ask you to focus on the emotion portrayed by Eddie Kingston, from the opening bell with his drive to kill Claudio, to his moments alone in the ring with his closest friend and toughest opponent Jon Moxley, to the moments he takes to emphasize his teamwork with his enemies turned teammates.

Overall I liked this match. For a certain type of audience this wasnt their favoeite. But for me this is the type of storytelling that could only be found in professional wrestling.

Small side note: I am slightly dissapointed we didn't acknowledge the Bullet Club connection in this payperview but maybe its still in phase 1 to lead to its climax next yesr at forbidden door 3

AEW Womens Championship

So going into this most people could already predict the outcome, but I had a personal bias towards wanting Willow to win. I was at New Japan Resurgence where I saw her win that New Japan Strong Womens championship, and I would have loved to see Willow carry those belts and represent womens wrestling here in the states for multiple companies.

However, Toni is still very early in her second run as womens champ and it makes sense that they would like to establish her as a dominant champion, beating another champ without the need of her heel faction by her side.

Toni working heel has definantly won me over more so than her face work. She brings a sort of aggression that portrays her as the smaller yet more vicious competitor in this match.

While i said i would have loved to see a Willow double champ, I still love what this match does to her character. Basically teaching her that while she has the strength to be strong champion she needs to find that deeper drive to be the world champion.

Hopefully we see this story continue in the womens Owen Hart tournament.

IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship.

There was no way this wasn't going to be my favorite match of the night. Their first match was my match of the year so far, this is my favorite belt in all of Pro Wrestling.

Starting with the intros, this time it was Osprey who got the extra intro cinematic, going back to his Elevated Theme. Mirroring when Kenny had his opening cinematic with the sephiroth theme.

Kenny being the champion for new japan, he returned to his iconic Devils Sky opening, a song that in my opinion absolutley conveys his status as pro wrestlings true final boss.

Before the bell rings we already understand that Kenny is the face in this match, as this is his home country of canada, that coupled with his ongoing story with the betrayal by Don Callis.

This match opens with a trading of wrist control by both competitors. Holds going back and forth with both Kenny and Will getting equal oppurtunity offense.

This doesn't last long as Kenny goes for his finisher early into the match, renting space in Will's head as if to say he could go for the kill at anytime in this match, but Osprey counters and continues to counter to the point where he nearly kicks Omega in the face. To the crowd Will is the heel but to himself, he's more prepared than he's ever been.

Kenny soon gets the upper hand and shows yet again he wants to get the effective offense in by going for his terminator dive, but Don Callis knows Kennys offense better than anyone and he knows that if Kenny lands that move this early it would be a major uphill climb for Osprey, so he risks his own presence in order to interfier with Kenny.

This gives Will the oppurtunity to inflict some much needed violence, and this is where we begin to see just how much of a grudge Will has been holding since Wrestle Kingdom.

Once again the offense goes back and forth but both Kenny and Will are using more creative and damaging moves.

This is when Will once again gets the advantage, and begins right where he left off, attempting to ram Kenny's head through the comentary table, rhyming the moment when Kenny did the same to Will in their last bout.

This is when we see something Will has yet to really show off on AEW tv, and thats his crowdwork. Licking Kennys blood off his bicep to a chorus of "You sick fuck," chants.

In case this wasnt clear how personal this is to Osprey he uses Kennys move, the V Trigger, against him. And this wont be the last time we see this type of tactic from Will.

Once again we see Osprey getting a reaction fron the crowd grabbing a canadian flag and doing everything disrespectful he could think of. However it seems it was his enjoyment in pissing off the crowd that distracted him from his opponent, as Kenny fires up with Canadian rage and uses his countrys flag to lay on some much needed offense.

Now that Kenny has the upper hand he wants to show that this match is still far from over, returning the violence he recieved by driving Ospreys face into the steel steps, both these men are now covered in blood.

Osprey has let it be known that last time he fought Kenny he was deeply affected by the blood loss, not just mentally but physically.

Its safe to assume thats why Kenny decided to bring his opponent to the center of the ring and use his submission wrestling knowledge, to try and get Will to quit the mtach early. But Osprey shows yet again he is not the same competitor he was on Jan 4th.

The ground based wrestling continues to go back and forth just as this match has gone plenty of times before.

Both competitors have gained enough energy to try and over power eachother wirh their more offensive moves, howevee it seems as soon as one wrestler is close to finishing the match the other narrowly escapes.

Its around this time we see the return of Don Callis. This fires up Kenny as his hatred for Don Callis causes him to hit Osprey with a flurry of V triggers.

This is when we see the return of the screwdriver, handed off to Will Osprey, who in a moment of desperation is put into position to get hit with the One Winged Angel but he counters using the screwdriver on Kenny just like Callis did when he turned on Kenny.

Osprey uses his moment to Hit Kenny with the hidden blade elbow, then the stormbreaker. This is when everyone thought Kenny was put away for good, but Kenny just barely escapes with a milimeter rope break.

Don whispers something to Osprey, some sort of desperation play and we see it played out in full effect.

First a v trigger.

Then a one winged angel

No one kicks out of the one winged angel

Except for Kenny at one!

The crowd erupts!

And for the final time this match returns to zero, both competitors trade offense yet again.

This is when we see probably the most devastating move of the night the Tiger Driver 91,

With Kenny dumped soley on his head he is pinned for 2.

Osprey does the one thing neither competitor has been able to do until now and continue his offense, hit his finisher, and pin Kenny for 3.

Will Osprey is the new IWGP US Heavy weight Champion.

Sorry not sorry for the play by play for this one and not the others. This match was unbelievable. Of both of the Championship matches showcased the differences between american and Japanese wrestling this match showcased how a great blend of both could lead to a whole new style of wrestling. One perfectly encompassed by the IWGP US Heavyweight title.

There are 2 layers to this match really. The competative fighting spirit of both competitors, and the interpersonal drama between Kenny, Will, and Don.

The moment Don returned we saw what could have been Will becoming what is essentially the new Kenny Omega, complete with Don at his side, and the one winged angel, but as we saw there is only one Kenny Omega. However, it was Will being himself and using what got him to this position to overcome his biggest challenge yet.

Chris Jericho, Sammy Guevara, and Minoru Suzuki vs Sting, Darby Allin, and Tetsuya Naito

Always good to see Minoru Suzuki in the ring.

Also the significance of Chris Jericho snd Sting in the ring for the first time is hard to deny.

From what I understand Sting was put in a couple of scary situations so I hope everything with him is healthy.

All in all this match is a perfect match to convey to audiences that AEW not only has respect for the past, but has a future that can stand side by side with them.

Overall, I am surprised by how much I enjoyed Suzuki with Jericho. I also hope this alliance with Sting and Darby and LIJ doesnt end here but it most likely will.

Main Event: Bryan Danielson vs Kazuchika Okada

I was definantly excited to hear Danielson come out to Final Countdown. But Okadas theme will always be the hypest. If Kenny's theme is final boss, then Okadas is shonen protag.

Fron the second the bell rings you can tell there is a reason these 2 are in a ring together. They both excude the energy that tells you theyre the top of their game and when they're in the ring its a wrestling match not a pro wrestling segment.

The pace of this match is notable as both competitors do not take too much time to get to know eachother before the big offense begins.

This match is definantly made to represent the clashing of styles. Tanahashi could do American style, Jungleboy can do Japanese style. Kenny and Osprey can blend both. But nobody does American Style better than Danielson and nobody does Japanese Style better than okada.

We see this on display when Danielson uses his matbased submission style to focus okadas right arm. Likewise when Okada uses his aggressive strong style to inflict high damage on Bryan Danielson.

Throughout this match both competitors do a greay job in making you believ this could go either way.

So there is a spot that i can only call devious. It's when Bryan Danielson is imitating a seizure. It was all too believable at the time but i will admit that I felt all the synonyms for shocked when I saw Bryan snap into attack mode, hit the ropes and go for the busaiko knee.

Of course it was after that when we really started to notice that Bryan hurt his arm real bad

As for the finish I am going to be honest and say I am completely surprised that Danielson won. I'm doubly surprised it was due to a tap.

This match was a great one overall and for a first time viewing its full of twist and turns and gives yoh plenty of reason to understand that both of these men deserve their titles as Best in the World.

- leon’s a sort of scheming, flirtatious, zack morris type of character who frequently gets his friends/himself into trouble with his Wacky Scheme of the week to try and make money/win over girls. he does have standards/something of a moral code though, which inevitably kicks in whenever he goes too far.

- clifford’s the de facto leader of the main characters, and he’s pretty similar to muppet high!kermit; laid back, popular, chill, but not without his limits when it comes to his friends’ shenanigans. he’s still solid foam’s bass player, regularly holding practice sessions at his house (and their houses too, it depends on how annoyed his neighbors are at the noise that week).

- vicki’s sweet, nerdy, and wants to be a filmmaker once she’s out of high school. she’s frequently inspired by the movies she watches, which leads to her trying to make amateur films of her own (and dragging her friends into acting in them). she has something of a one-sided rivalry with bean since when he’s involved with a plan, people are often willing to overlook her objections bc he’s just so darn cute.

- bean bunny’s the resident Obligatory Kid-Appeal Character, tagging along on clifford and company’s adventures. no one’s really sure why he’s attending high school when he looks more like a kid, but at the same time no one wants to ask him this and (potentially) see him sad. he regularly uses his cuteness to his advantage.. and so does leon (provided he pays bean to do so).

- digit’s a television-addled sci-fi nerd who’s regularly lost in his electronics, whether that’s his tv, his walkman, other people’s tvs (you get the point). despite how spacey he is a lot of the time, he’s very savvy when it comes to things involving electronics and does his best to help with whatever clifford asks of him. because this is the 90s, he sometimes speaks in dated tv/pop culture references.

so because angeal survives in my take on events for both the og games ( as well as the remake ) there are a few things i'd like to type out.

angeal does more or less live on the run and from town to town much like rambo did up until the fourth film. he would go from town to town doing smol things to get by and what have you. needless to say that, much like cloud, he was a merc for hire. he's very skilled in the arts of hand-to-hand combat, archery, sword combat, martial arts, knives, and whatnot. and while he can use a gun i'm sure he's not much on using them due to his samurai / monk mindset.

angeal eventually settles in gongaga ( aka where zack's from and his parents reside ). in fact, he actually ends up living with zack's parents due to a pretty severe case of survivor's guilt. so he more or less feels like he owes them for everything that's happened to zack even though it's not his fault and deep down he knows it. so he does a lot of odd jobs and whatnot to make sure that their house is up-to-date and that they're all well-fed, have clothes on their backs, so on and so forth.

this would actually be when cloud and co. would more or less "recruit" angeal into the team, so to speak, if they wanted him to tag along. he'd also ask zack's parents if they'd be okay with him leaving for a while and would make sure to keep in touch with them. and boy howdy does he have some things he wants to say to sephiroth and genesis both.

oh... and cloud. angeal wants his sword back. despite hating that sword with a burning fucking passion it's something that he considers to be near and dear to his heart because it's basically the only thing he had left from his mother. and the sheer fact that there's a shit fuck ton of nicks / dings / scratches on it irks him to absolutely no end whatsoever. yes, he knows that he gave it to zack as a present of sort because he wholeheartedly expected to die only for that to completely backfire in his face. and not only that but he didn't expect zack to even die anytime soon and 100% thought zack would outlive him.

He also didn’t comment on the fact that eventually Sephiroth’s arms wound their way around him, instead of remaining locked around Seph’s own body like they were trying to hold broken pieces of him together. But they did. His fingers found themselves in the fabric of Zack’s shirt, clinging almost as tightly. Zack let him, and simply kept his grip steady on Sephiroth. Offering comfort as he could.

And tucked there in the space between the bed and the wall, a barrier was breached between them that neither one would have ever guessed at.

Sephiroth cried.

It made Zack’s heart ache. Like everything about the Commander when he wasn’t giving orders on the battlefield, his grief was quiet. Silent tears found their way into the collar and shoulder of Zack’s uniform top. Breathy sobs made as little sound as possible, even this close to Zack’s ear. Smothered by a stranglehold that even now, Sephiroth couldn’t let go of.

Zack wondered how many times Sephiroth had been scolded for having feelings that this was the reaction he’d gotten while trying to comfort him. It renewed Zack’s desire to find Hojo and break him. But… he was needed here.

Zack didn’t know how long they stayed there between the wall and the bed anchored together. Didn’t know how long they sat in the eye of the storm that was Sephiroth’s grief. Didn’t know how long he murmured what he hoped were words of comfort and held the man while the new wave of grief bled itself out.

But finally, Sephiroth stopped.

Biggest surprise while writing this year? Biggest Surprise... honestly probably walking into the FF7 fandom and doing fanworks for it at all. If you'd told me this time last year that the vast majority of my works would be ff7 based this year I would have probably laughed. I spent ages afraid of this fandom even though I've loved the work since I was like 12. But I'm here, and I'm really glad for that!

Mako Mermaids was a great show ( and still is ), it marked a lot of people's childhood and stayed in memory: maybe with a coherent name, or sometimes just as unclear images. And you're lucky if you've picked the first one. Any how you managed to pop up here, today even after all those years, it's seriously good to have you. I'll be direct, I need your help. I don't know for you, but to me Nixie was the best one. She was funny, cute and so herself. Ivy Latimer seemed truly into the character. It was a shame when she just disappeared after the first season, yet no big deal. Don't get me wrong, I knew whatever Ivy was gonna do later I would love as much as I did with mm. Too bad for me, she never came back.. or at least I thought so.

the true deal-breaker is that i don’t get along with terminally online peeps who think that there isnt a person with their issues, traumas and feelngs behind a screen but a punching bag for their frustration issues, vagueblogging on dash and about ANYTHING makes me eyeroll hard and shows how skewered the internet has made personal relationships, and i also can’t stand gossipy/drama-filled circles who are fortunately pretty easy to spot once you get enough Trauma Points from these. i will NOT be involved in any drama nor i will appreciate being dragged into those with anons/gossipy people coming at me, don’t do that. i’m here to have fun

Tried to spiffy a fresh promo up despite being on mobile now, also had to put a quote of Zack on it since heck. The hyper puppy was my first ever muse on Tumblr to be honest and thankful of that too, that along with curiosity getting me to stick around too.

If not for the that I very likely not be here and made good buddies with beans, the biggest one ever special to me is Gin (@ulsterhound who also runs other blogs too but I tag the main one I bug a lot heh.) Speaking of who check my dearest friend and spuddy out, they may not be active right now but I love writing with them. The Great Pro-Wrestling Adventure Hour - 027 11/16/23 Defy TV 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM EST Filmed at the Good Time Theatre at Dorney Park in Allentown, Pennsylvania

SEGMENT ONE (EIGHT MINUTES):

- We are welcomed in by Sudu Upadhyay who is standing at the commentary booth, Raven is splayed out behind him on a mattress. Sudu wants to know where his chair is. Raven explained that he read an article about a study where they claimed sitting is unhealthier for your body than sleeping, so he had their chairs removed and replaced with a bed. Sudu asks if Raven finds it a bit unprofessional to be lounging in a bed during the broadcast. Raven said he considered that, and originally asked for their chairs to be replaced by hammocks, but you have to sit to get into a hammock so that was out. Sudu feigned surprise that the fans were still permitted to have chairs. Raven claimed it says a lot about the loyalty of CORE fans that they are literally shortening their lives by attending the show today. Raven offered Sudu a spot on the mattress, but he opted to stand.

- The Great Pro-Wrestling Adventure Hour opening aired set to "Black Swan Lake" by Janko Nilovic.

Invictus Khash, Hyan, and Kylie Paige vs. Miles Penn, Zane Jay, and Maggie Lee Invictus Khash, Hyan, and Kylie Paige defeated Miles Penn, Zane Jay, and Maggie Lee with the Code Red from Kylie on Lee.

SEGMENT TWO (EIGHT MINUTES):

- We returned from break to Invictus Khash, Hyan, and Kylie Paige being interviewed by Sudu. Kylie appeared poised to make an announcement when she was interrupted by Kenzie Paige. Kenzie asked to speak with her sister privately, Kylie reluctantly agreed and the two headed to a side exit to talk outside. Kenzie held the door open for Kylie, and as she walked through Kenzie slammed the door behind Kylie, locking her outside. Sonny Kiss, Trench, Joshua Bishop, and Big Dan Champion of the TrustBusters and TrustBusters Reserve appeared and attacked Khash and Hyan. Trench held Hyan open for repeated strikes from Sonny while Khash was Bishop Bombed through a concession table. Giant Baba Yaga and Fuego Del Sol ran out from backstage and chased off The TrustBusters. Kylie got back into the building through the main entrance and confronted Kenzie. Kenzie said she agreed to create a distraction in return for Kylie not being attacked. Kylie kneeled by Khash and Hyan as Fuego and Baba Yaga stood over them and told Kenzie that she doesn't need her sister to look out for her anymore, because she now has people in her life she can actually trust.

The Andersons (Brock Anderson and CW Anderson) vs. Storybook Prince Gaston and Matt Williams The Andersons defeated Storybook Prince Gaston and Matt Williams with a spinebuster from Brock on Gaston.

SEGMENT THREE (NINE MINUTES):

"King Of Jersey Shore" Zack Clayton vs. Jessie Godderz Zack Clayton defeated Jessie Godderz with the fisherman's buster.

- Daphne Oz is at the CORE news desk for another edition of the COal REgion Roundup. - Oz announced that due to a recent injury, Chie Koishikawa will no longer be competing at Thanksgiving Tussle or taking part in the SHIMMER Tag Team Championship tournament. Her partner Sayaka will now be teaming with Sayaka Obihiro. - Daphne revealed that earlier in the broadcast before the attack from the TrustBusters, Kylie Paige was set to announce that Kylie and Hyan have been entered into the tournament. - While that attack may have robbed us of one announcement from Kylie it set up another. Daphne sent us to words from Kylie Paige to announce a new match for Thanksgiving Tussle that had just been signed moments earlier. In a 5-on-5 Strive To Survive match, we will see The TrustBusters of Sonny Kiss, Slim J, and JeeVeS Kay partner with The TrustBusters Reserve of Big Dan Champion and Joshua Bishop against a team calling themselves The Trust - Invictus Khash, Hyan, Kylie Paige, Giant Baba Yaga, and Fuego Del Sol. - Daphne closed out the segment by confirming that after missing his last two scheduled matches, Shaw Mason is in the building tonight and will be appearing next on the broadcast.

SEGMENT FOUR (NINE MINUTES):

Shaw Mason vs. Colton Cage Shaw Mason defeated Colton Cage by submission with the ankle lock.

- Shaw Mason made his way to the commentary booth after his match and asked the production truck to call up the footage he had asked for. We were shown a split screen close-up of Tim Bosby's singlet. Mason said the image on the left was from before Bosby tackled him under the ring in their match a few weeks ago, and the image on the right is from after Bosby reemerged from under the ring apron after Mason had allegedly been struck in the side of the head. Mason tried to draw everyone's attention to an outline he claims is visible in the before picture but absent afterwards, implying that there was a foreign object concealed in Bosby's singlet. The picture is quite zoomed in and it's very difficult to distinguish between the two. Mason then asks for before and after photos from Bosby's match with Tom Lawlor, and again claims to see evidence that is not nearly as clear as he insists. Hunter Holdcraft made his way out and said that he's really happy to see Mason again, but that he's worried about him. Holdcraft said that he really can't see anything in these images, and he doesn't think anyone else can either. Holdcraft suggests that Shaw might be having a hard time accepting that he lost to Bosby. Holdcraft said he's talked to CORE matchmakers, he's talked to Bosby, and he would like to see this settled. Holdcraft offered Shaw Mason a match at Thanksgiving Tussle against Tim Bosby with a special guest enforcer to make sure there's no cheating, Dan "The Beast" Severn. Mason agreed to the match.

SEGMENT FIVE (EIGHT MINUTES):

Starboy Charlie, Marcus Mathers, and Alex Taylor vs. Black Generation International (Action Jackson/Black Andromeda/Bendito) Starboy Charlie, Marcus Mathers, and Alex Taylor defeated Black Generation International with the Green Whistle from Taylor on Bendito.

- After the match Starboy Charlie got on the microphone and called out Titus Alexander. Starboy said it's time for Alexander to stop worrying about Eddie Kingston and face reality, Charlie challenged Black Generation International to a 6-on-6 Strive To Survive match at Thanksgiving Tussle '23 in Harlan, Kentucky. Titus Alexander made his way to ringside and accepted the challenge. Titus Alexander said he looks forward to seeing Charlie get put in his place, only it won't be by him because Titus will actually be on tour with Pro Wrestling NOAH at the time. But not to worry, as Black Generation International don't need him to take out The Southern 6. It will be The Southern 6 of Kerry Morton, "Thrillbilly" Silas Mason, Alex Taylor, and Kenzie Paige with Starboy Charlie and Marcus Mathers against the Black Generation International team of Kaito Ishida, Flamita, Keiichi Sato, Kotaro Suzuki, Black Andromeda, and Action Jackson.

SEGMENT SIX (THREE MINUTES):
