so i finished “the sweetest betrayal” (the last book in “the kinder poison” series) and my depression is cured, my skin is clear, my crops are watered, etc. it was such a delightful read 😭😭 y’all if you like enemies to lovers, i highly, highly recommend this series!! it’s so sweet and funny with some deliciously dark moments, i’m crying pls read this i’m desperate for more fans

For me, really, in Red Queen, Mare should have ended up alone. I have nothing against Cal as a character, but something doesn't sit right with me about his union with Mare. Something is wrong with me. If you prefer, it's as if Juliette from the Shatter Me series ended up with Adam instead of Warner, and Zahru from The Kinder of Poison series ended up with Jet instead of Kasta. (And I love Jet with all my heart as a character, he's very cute) I don't know if you know what I mean ? As if it wasn't meant to be after all. And then Cal also seriously fucked up with Mare. Objectively, none of the brothers really deserved it. (Even if I ship Mareven to death) Anyway, that's my opinion.

When I started this book on random day at the library last year, I didn’t expect it to be one of my all-time favorite series! There’s magic, plot twists, sibling rivalry, CORRUPTION ARCS, and a slow burn sprinkled with a few lovely betrayals. We love that for us. I’m so ready for my Kastazahru endgame and for Zahru’s corruption arc! If you haven’t started it yet, I highly suggest you add it to your 2023 tbr list! You won’t regret it! The wait for this book is killing me (as waiting always does) I'm especially looking forward for Zahru and Kasta relationship. ALSO, Zahru going a bit evil is one of my favorites tropes in a book and by the look of the description Natalie is going to deliver.
