Just completed a flawless presentation at work. My manager complimented the deck and gave ZERO notes. lol, the secondary analyst even mentioned how that had never happened to him before.

Kite exits a cab and treks along the sidewalk with a spring in his step. It's another day, and he's tending to what is, depending on who you ask, the most important part of his weekly routine. It's the item that he never dares skip, for the consequences would surely be dire (god forbid he gets a phonecall).

It's an independent living facility, the compromise reached after a lengthy conversation. Taking care of an old man--his adopted (grand)father--who, even at his age, is full of vigor is nothing short of a handful. And after Kite had caught wind of Netero ignoring a medical emergency... Something had to change.

He pauses for a second to brace himself before entering the apartment--the door is unlocked, of course--his arrival is expected, after all. The place is as tidy as it had been the previous week, and the plants that line the windows (all of which he had personally brought over) are in good condition, as, it seems, is his (grand)father.

Kite settles on an easygoing smile as he sets his bag on one of the chairs at the table. "How are things going this week?"

Orianna finds herself on Pearl Street in the Golden Ward, deciding that today is a day well-suited for shopping — perhaps even for treating herself. One of the many proprietors must have something to provide for the lady’s hobbies.

First, though, she seeks out a rather high-end cafe; She has heard plenty about it, both from passing words on the street and searching on her phone. Atmosphere certainly does drive the price of a cup of coffee to new heights, but that’s fine. If it is enjoyable, it will be worth it.

Orianna idles at the polished counter, clarifying to the barista that she would need a few minutes to decide.

Kite || Subversion Pt. 1

He’s a biology professor at the university; he has a reputation for being a great teacher. He is passionate about biology and nature, and wants his students to succeed. 

Knows so much about various animals and ecosystems. Ask him anything about nature and he comes to life to give an extremely thorough answer. 

He rarely wears that signature newsboy cap of his. He’s somewhat of a fashionista with a wardrobe full of business casual outfits.

Married to Mika ( @edibledragons​ ); they’ve been pretty well attached at the hip since childhood.

Old Man Netero ( @zeronote​ ) is his adopted (grand)father.

Has the greenest thumb this side of the Spirale Fog™.

He’s extremely happy in the life he has; he’s full of vigor, and it makes him friendly towards strangers, and he is a firm believer in random acts of kindness.

He has no fancy shmancy powers, of course, but he does know some martial arts.

i am at work &there are never any customers on saturdays until like 10 because everyone gets to sleep in except me. i want it to be noon so i can go home to watch netflix, take a nap, play with/curl my hair, &obviously go to the gym. i might switch the order of the last two.
