It was finally October. October was Mina's most favorite month and October meant Halloween. Mina's most favorite holiday. During October, Mina was free to watch any Halloween movie she wanted without any of the littles being able to complain about it.

Being a middle at times was hard for Mina. She wasn't old enough to do things by herself all the time but she wasn't little enough to have her mama's attention like the littles did.

During October though, Mina's mama let her pick the movies since it's her favorite holiday and her favorite month. She got to pick out all the snacks, whether or not to put the lights on, and how many movies she wanted to watch in a night.

You'd think that letting Mina watch an unlimited amount of movies every night would be concerning, but 9 times out of 10, she would only make it through a movie and a half before she fell asleep on the couch. She'd magically wake up in her bed in the morning in her pajamas.

"Mama! I'm ready to watch the movie now!" Mina yelled from her spot on the couch in the dorm, hot chocolate in a non-spill mug. She had patiently waited for almost 20 minutes while Jihyo got the littles ready. Mina had argued that the movie would be too scary for them to watch, but Jihyo was adamant on letting them at least try to watch it since it was animated.

Mina was about to get up for the second time to look for Jihyo when she heard three pairs of footsteps down the hallway. "Mina! Mina!" Chaeyoung sprinted down the hallway, jumping onto the couch beside Mina. "Weady for mobie!"

Mina smiled and moved the bowl of snacks between them, watching as Jihyo walked in with Tzuyu trailing close behind. "Okay, Mina. Time to watch your movie. Is The Christmas Nightmare ready?"

"Mama! It's The Nightmare Before Christmas." Mina giggled as Jihyo sat down beside Chaeyoung, pulling Tzuyu up into her lap. She took a quick sip of her hot chocolate before turning the movie on, snuggling down further in the couch and her blanket.

Only five minutes into the movie, Mina had to pause it. Tzuyu started to cry once she saw the scary characters. Mina sighed as Jihyo got up, bouncing a crying Tzuyu in her arms.

It took almost 20 more minutes for Jihyo to come back again but at least this time Mina had Chaeyoung to entertain her. Chaeyoung was telling Mina all about her dream that had something to do with a flying tree and a a river of Sprite.

"And den and den-oh! Mama's back!" Chaeyoung bounced up and down excitedly, reaching out for Jihyo.

"I'm sorry, Mina. I promise no more interruptions." Jihyo smiled and kissed Mina gently on the head before she picked Chaeyoung up. She sat the little beside her and Mina resumed the movie.

"Mama! Look it's Zero! He's my favorite!" Mina smiled and held up her Zero stuffy so Jihyo could see. Jihyo nodded and smiled, giving her stuffy a pat on the head.

Zero was Mina's absolute favorite character out of all the movies she watched. He reminded her of Ray, her dog from back home. Mina thought it was cool if she had a ghost dog, but she knew it would never happen.

"Oooh I see. He's a cute ghost dog." Jihyo let out a small chuckle when Mina flew Zero around, getting up to sit a little closer to the movie. She had seen Nightmare Before Christmas about a million times, but it was her favorite. She loved watching it with Chaeyoung since she was able to handle it and she always drew Mina a picture of Zero afterwards.

Movie's like Nightmare Before Christmas were too hard to not watch twice. Jihyo figured this out the hard way as she sat through the second half of the movie for the second time. She let out a yawn as she chuckled, looking down at Mina and Chaeyoung cuddled against each other in front of the TV.

"Mina wook. It's Zewo." Chaeyoung whispered to Mina, giggling when Mina set Zero in her lap. At this point in the movie, Mina and Chaeyoung only looked up at the TV whenever Zero was on the screen. Mina was playing with her stuffed Zero while Chaeyoung drew picture after picture for Mina.

"Are you two still watching or can I turn it off?" Jihyo looked down, noticing that there hadn't been any comments or giggling from the two girls in a while. She laughed as both of them turned around, vigorously nodding their heads.

"No! We're still watching it! Chaeng needs a reference for her drawings!" Mina frowned and turned back to the TV, turning the TV up a little more so her mama wouldn't ask anymore questions.

Jihyo just sighed, playfully rolling her eyes as she laid back against the couch. She was going to be in for a long night.

I don't have an accent by default, not in English as you know me, not in my native Spanish and definitely not in French. Given the case you talk to me, you won't be able to pinpoint my procedence in a map.

Yet, there's this funny little thing my autistic brain likes to do: mimic accents.

Let me explain. My brain, for some reason, has come up with the next strategy: in order to blend in, it assimilates whatever accent the people around me have. Still not getting it? Don't worry, I have an example. Let's say I'm into Supernatural for two weeks and I rewatch half of the show, I shit you not, the nest Tuesday I'm gonna show up to my English class talking with the same accent as Dean fucking Winchester.

The month I was talking like the Tenth Doctor was a funny one.

Even now! I can recognize in my way of writing in English some grammatic structures and vocabulary derivated from Jon Sims' way of speaking! BUT, it has a great disadvantage, people think I'm mocking them when I "adopt" their accent, soooooo haha, nice work, brain but it kinda sucks

I mean, some people don't really care, others don't notice as I sometimes pass as a native from wherever we are, but there are times when it's too noticeable to my own liking.
