Hi Noraxoekodurosugofbyn. I’ve got a very baffled time lord trying to pick out a new name, (new regeneration, old one doesn’t fit as well with the new look). I want to help. But i’ve got no clue. How do gallifreyan names. . . work. How’d you go about making a new one? Not like there’s a Time Baby Naming site.
How do you create a Gallifreyan name?
Hey, you'll find some of the grounding information in this topic, which discusses names:
However, actually coming up with one is a creative venture. You could quite legitimately smash your head onto the keyboard and use what comes out, but ....
GIL uses its own list of "root" particles in order to create names with vague meanings by combining particles (this is from the conlang). If GIL could make a baby name generator it would, but unfortunately I tried and failed 👶

Guide to Cold-Weather Hiking
Hi, friends! Wind chill around Chicago is around 5°F (-15°C) and I just went on a very comfy 2-hour hike. I have yet to find the lower limit of my gear, so I thought I'd write a post to help anyone else who might be interested in getting out in the cold. I'm going to start with some general principles and then get into what I specifically wear.
Unless you have a few hundred dollars lying around, plan to buy pieces gradually and build up to colder temperatures over time. When you can, repurpose things you already own, buy used, and put this stuff on your birthday and holiday wishlists.
Layers! Layering clothing has several advantages: its cheaper to buy individual pieces over time, it gives you the flexibility to subtract layers as you warm up, and you probably already have stuff you can use. Eventually, you should try to collect a sweat-wicking base layer to get moisture off your skin and provide insulation, a thick mid-layer for additional insulation and to absorb that sweat, and a vapor-barrier top layer to reduce evaporation (which cools your body) and block the wind (which steals the warm air from your insulating layers. To beat sub-freezing temps, you want these layers covering everything from your head to your feet. The mid and top layers are the most important, but whatever you have next to your skin should be wool or synthetic; cotton will absorb and hold sweat against your skin, chilling you.
Wool is great for wicking and insulation, though expensive, but for your vapor barrier, synthetics are the way to go. Leather is the only natural material I know of that could work, but except on boots and mittens, it's too heavy and gets stiff in the cold.
Build up your tolerance to cold weather. Go camping or hiking in the fall, and continue over the winter until you find the point where you get uncomfortably cold even in your warmest gear.
If you're not fat yet, consider gaining some weight! It will help insulate your muscles and organs.
I've collected most of my outdoor clothing in the last 5 year, after I started hiking weekly during COVID lockdown, but I have a couple pieces that I've owned for decades. Here's what I wear:
Base layer, head and torso: REI Midweight Base Layer Zip Hoodie (discontinued) Polyester/Spandex. I'm sorry to see this is no longer available; it was affordable, available in plus sizes, and having a hoodie on your base layer is great for keeping your neck and head warm. If you can afford it, a merino wool base layer will provide the same sweat wicking plus better insulation.
Base layer, butt and legs: REI Midweight Base Layer Tights. Polyester/Spandex. These are still available! They're $55 and sizes range from XS-3XL. Again, if you can afford merino wool, buy it! I've come to use a stand-to-pee device when I have to go in the woods, so if I was buying these again, I'd go for the men's version.
Base layer, feet: wool liner socks. These aren't necessary, but they help, and they last a long time if you keep your toenails trimmed and wear them infrequently.
Mid layer, head: chunky wool hat I knit. A nice, thick beanie would also work.
Mid-layer, torso: I have this amazing multicolor wool sweater my mom have me for Christmas when I was a high school freshman, about 30 years ago now. The multiple colors mean that it has 2-3 layers of yarn. This is definitely the most expensive piece I wear, but it's good down to freezing temps.
Mid-layer, torso: below freezing, I add a cheap fleece jacket.
Mid-layer, butt and legs: once wind chill gets to 15°F (-9.5°C) or lower, I wear a pair of sweatpants.
Mid-layer, feet: thick wool socks. I couldn't find the same coloring, but I think they're these Smartwool Hike Classic Edition Crew Socks. These also make great sleeping socks for spring and fall camping. At $25, they're well-priced to ask for (or give) as a gift.
Top layer, head and torso: Columbia Spire Valley™ Hooded Windbreaker. I can't find the exact color match for my windbreaker, so it might be a discontinued model, but this looks close. The important points are: it's a lightweight, unlined shell, adjustable for a wide range of temperatures depending on what you wear underneath it; it has a hood that fits comfortably over a thick hat; it has elastic at the wrists to block airflow; and it's waterproof (in a light rain, anyway).
Top layer, face: sunglasses and a Gator Face Mask. I think this is the same face gaiter that my dad bought for me when he took us winter camping in middle and high school. I don't like the feeling of fibers against my lips when I wear a scarf, and this does a great job of blocking the wind. It's also great when you're waiting for public transit in really cold weather, and only $20!
Top layer, hands: any set of gloves should be fine down to at last freezing. When it gets REALLY cold, I bring my Kinco Alyeska Lined Knit Shell Half-Finger Gloves with Convertible Mitt Hoods. I love that they're a thick wool blend, have grip dots on the palms (good for driving), and can be worn as mittens for the most warmth or as half- finger gloves for better dexterity or regulating temperature.
Top layer, butt and legs: Arc'teryx Gamma AR Soft-Shell Pants. Yet another discontinued product, and they cost a pretty penny: $150 when I bought them 5 years ago. What I like about them is that they're waterproof and windproof, have plenty of pockets, can be tightened at the ankles, and have some insulation. A cheaper version would be lightweight rain pants with sweatpants underneath.
Top layer, feet: hiking boots. I haven't found boots yet that last for more than 2-3 years, but that's largely due to my unreasonably wide feet. Currently, I'm rocking these Oboz Sawtooth X Mid Waterproof Hiking Boot. Buy a pair in a size that you can tighten down over thin socks in summer and loosen to accommodate thick socks in winter. Next time I buy winter boots, I might go for solid leather, which can be waxed waterproof and should last much longer.
If I wear all of this, I'm going out in really cold weather; I haven't yet found a temperature that's too cold. Here's a breakdown of what I wear at different temperatures. Every body is different, so treat these as suggestions for getting started and adjust to your comfort level.
40-32°F (4.5-0°C): base layer hoodie and pants, wool shirt, windbreaker, soft-shell pants, thick socks, boots.
32-15°F (0 to -9.5°C): everything above plus the fleece jacket, liner socks, and lightweight gloves. I might try adding some lightweight sweatpants or yoga pants.
15-0°F (-9.5 to -17.5°C): everything above, DEFINITELY sweatpants, and the Kinco half-finger convertible gloves.
In snowy to slightly icy conditions, I bring a hiking pole with the rubber tip removed to expose the sharp carbide tip beneath. Any cheap trekking pole should suffice; the specific ones I have are the Alps Mountaineering Journey Poles. They're useful year-round for hiking in hilly or mountainous areas.
For moderately to very icy conditions, either on the trails or the sidewalks, I invested in a pair of Kahtoola EXOspikes. If you're unsure of your balance on snow or ice, these are a life-saver. Leave them on your boots for a couple days after you buy them to stretch them out.
A few more tips:
Hydrate! For winter hikes, I carry 1 liter off water per half-day in a HydraPak HydraSleeve Reservoir with an insulated hose. The insulating bag helps prevent damage to the bag and keeps water cool in summer, warm in winter. Below freezing, the mouthpiece eventually ices up, so I have to pull it out and drink from the hose, then lift the hose to drain back into the reservoir so it doesn't freeze.
Moisturize! I apply lotion to my face and hands and balm to my lips just before I start my hike. The layer of oil or wax it leaves will reduce evaporation from exposed skin, preventing dry skin and keeping it slightly warmer.
Pee! If you can't already pee without dropping your pants, I recommend carrying a pee funnel and Kula cloth.
Carry it all! I use an older version of the Flash 22 Pack. It has a water reservoir pocket and holds everything I need for a daylong hike.

How Our Drive-in Racking System Meets OSHA and Local Safety Standards
When it comes to warehouse operations, safety isn't just a buzzword—it's the backbone of efficiency and reliability. Imagine trying to balance speed, precision, and cost-effectiveness without a solid foundation of safety measures. Sounds impossible, right? That’s where our drive-in racking system comes in. Not only does it revolutionize storage with its space-saving design, but it also meets OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and local safety regulations. Let’s dive into how we’ve designed our systems to tick all the right boxes.
Understanding Drive-in Racking Systems Drive-in racking systems are like the superheroes of high-density storage. They’re designed to maximize storage capacity by allowing forklifts to enter the racks and store pallets deep within. Perfect for warehouses handling large quantities of similar products, these systems are a go-to for industries like cold storage, manufacturing, and retail.
But there’s more to them than just efficiency. The unique design eliminates unnecessary aisles, making every inch of your warehouse count. However, with great power comes great responsibility—ensuring these systems are safe to use is critical.
The Importance of OSHA and Local Safety Standards Why do OSHA and local standards matter so much? Picture this: a bustling warehouse with forklifts zipping around and employees moving goods. Without safety protocols, this scene could quickly turn chaotic. OSHA sets federal standards to minimize workplace hazards, protect workers, and prevent costly liabilities.
Local safety regulations add another layer of protection, addressing specific regional risks and compliance needs. Adhering to these standards isn’t just about avoiding fines—it’s about creating a safe environment where your team can thrive. After all, a safe workplace is a productive workplace.
Key Features of Our Drive-in Racking System
When we say our drive-in racking system is top-notch, we mean it. Here's why:
Structural Integrity: Built like a tank, our racking system uses high-quality materials that withstand heavy loads and daily wear and tear.
Safety Features: From bolted connections to load-bearing beams and safety stops, every element is engineered with safety in mind.
Customization Options: No two warehouses are the same, and neither are our racking systems. We offer tailored solutions to fit your unique space and storage needs.
How We Ensure Compliance with OSHA Standards
Meeting OSHA standards isn’t just a box we check—it’s a commitment we take seriously. Here’s how:
Smart Design: Every system we create prioritizes stability and accessibility. Our racks are designed to minimize tipping hazards and ensure forklifts can navigate smoothly.
Regular Inspections: We conduct routine inspections to identify potential wear and tear before they become safety risks. Think of it as a health check for your racking system.
Employee Training: What good is a safe system if no one knows how to use it? We offer comprehensive training programs to teach your team best practices for operating and maintaining the system safely.
Adhering to Local Safety Regulations
Safety isn’t one-size-fits-all. That’s why we go the extra mile to understand and implement local regulations specific to your region. We collaborate with local safety inspectors and regulatory bodies to ensure your system meets every requirement. Whether it's seismic considerations in earthquake-prone areas or climate-specific adaptations, we’ve got you covered.
Benefits of Choosing Our OSHA-Compliant Drive-in Racking System
Why should you choose our system over others? The benefits are endless:
Reduced Risks: A system designed for compliance means fewer accidents and less downtime.
Improved Efficiency: Safety and efficiency go hand in hand. With a secure system, your team can work faster and more confidently.
Cost Savings: Avoid fines, reduce injury-related costs, and increase the lifespan of your equipment.
Peace of Mind: Knowing your warehouse is up to code lets you focus on what really matters—growing your business.
Conclusion
Safety and efficiency don’t have to be at odds. Our drive-in pallet racking system proves that you can have both without compromise. By meeting OSHA standards and aligning with local safety regulations, we provide a solution that protects your team, maximizes your space, and boosts your bottom line.

The Ultimate Guide to Choosing the Right Sports Bra for Your Workout
Choosing the right sports bra is crucial for any workout routine. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or just starting your fitness journey, a well-fitted sports bra can make a significant difference in your comfort, performance, and overall experience. In this ultimate guide, we'll explore everything you need to know to select the perfect sports bra for your workout needs.
Why a Good Sports Bra Matters
A good sports bra offers essential support, reduces breast movement, and minimizes discomfort during exercise. Unlike regular bras, sports bras are specifically designed to handle the intense movement and impact of physical activities. Here's why investing in a quality sports bra is vital:
Support and Stability: During physical activity, your breasts move in multiple directions. A good sports bra provides the necessary support to reduce movement, preventing discomfort and potential damage to breast tissue.
Comfort: Sports bras are made from moisture-wicking, breathable fabrics that keep you dry and comfortable. They also have features like padded straps and wide bands that distribute weight evenly, preventing chafing and irritation.
Performance: Wearing the right sports bra can enhance your performance by allowing you to focus on your workout without distractions. It offers the freedom to move confidently and perform at your best.
Types of Sports Bras
There are three main types of sports bras, each designed to cater to different levels of activity and support needs:
1. Compression Sports Bras
Compression sports bras are designed to hold the breasts against the chest wall, reducing movement. They are typically pull-over styles without individual cups and are best suited for low to medium-impact activities like yoga, Pilates, and strength training.
2. Encapsulation Sports Bras
Encapsulation sports bras have individual cups that provide support to each breast separately. These bras offer better shape and definition compared to compression bras and are ideal for medium to high-impact activities such as running, aerobics, and cycling.
3. Combination Sports Bras
Combination sports bras combine both compression and encapsulation features. They provide maximum support and are perfect for high-impact activities like sprinting, jumping, and intense cardio workouts.
Key Features to Look For
When choosing a sports bra, several key features can significantly impact its effectiveness and comfort:
1. Support Level
The level of support needed depends on the intensity of your workout. Low-impact activities require less support, while high-impact activities demand maximum support to minimize movement.
2. Fit
A well-fitted sports bra should feel snug but not restrictive. Look for bras with adjustable straps and bands to customize the fit. The band should sit firmly around your ribcage without riding up, and the cups should fully enclose your breasts without spillage.
3. Fabric
Opt for moisture-wicking, breathable fabrics that keep you dry and comfortable. Avoid materials that trap heat and moisture, as they can lead to chafing and discomfort.
4. Straps
Straps should be wide, padded, and adjustable to distribute weight evenly and prevent digging into your shoulders. Racerback designs offer additional support and freedom of movement.
5. Closure
Sports bras come with various closure options, including pull-over, hook-and-eye, and zip-front. Choose the one that offers the best combination of convenience and support for your needs.
How to Measure for a Sports Bra
Getting the right fit is crucial for the effectiveness of a sports bra. Here's a step-by-step guide to measuring yourself:
Band Size: Measure around your ribcage, just under your bust. Add 3-5 inches to this measurement to determine your band size.
Cup Size: Measure around the fullest part of your bust. Subtract your band measurement from this number to find your cup size using a bra size chart.
Try It On: Always try on sports bras before purchasing. Jump, run, and move around to ensure it provides adequate support and comfort.
Top Sports Bra Brands
Several brands specialize in high-quality sports bras designed for different activities and body types. Here are some top brands to consider:
1. Nike
Nike offers a wide range of sports bras catering to various support needs and activities. Their innovative designs and moisture-wicking fabrics make them a popular choice among athletes.
2. Under Armour
Under Armour is known for its durable and high-performance sports bras. They offer excellent support and comfort, making them ideal for high-impact activities.
3. Lululemon
Lululemon's sports bras are known for their stylish designs and superior comfort. They offer a range of support levels, perfect for different types of workouts.
4. Brooks
Brooks specializes in sports bras designed for runners. Their bras provide maximum support and minimize bounce, ensuring a comfortable run.
5. Shock Absorber
Shock Absorber is renowned for its high-impact sports bras. Their bras are designed to reduce breast movement by up to 78%, making them ideal for intense activities.
Caring for Your Sports Bra
Proper care can extend the lifespan of your sports bra and maintain its performance. Follow these tips to keep your sports bras in top condition:
Wash Regularly: Wash your sports bra after every use to remove sweat and bacteria.
Hand Wash: Hand wash your sports bras with mild detergent to prevent damage. If using a machine, place them in a lingerie bag and use a gentle cycle.
Air Dry: Avoid using a dryer, as heat can damage the elastic fibers. Air dry your sports bras to maintain their shape and support.
Rotate Bras: Having multiple sports bras and rotating them can reduce wear and tear, extending their lifespan.
Conclusion
Choosing the right sports bra is essential for a comfortable and effective workout. By understanding your support needs, measuring for the correct fit, and selecting the right features, you can find the perfect sports bra for any activity. Investing in high-quality sports bras and caring for them properly will ensure you stay comfortable, confident, and ready to tackle any workout.
Whether you're running a marathon, hitting the gym, or practicing yoga, the right sports bra can make all the difference. Take the time to find the best fit for your body and activity level, and enjoy the benefits of enhanced comfort and performance.

8 Ways to Protect Your Devices During a Move
Moving can be a stressful experience, especially when it comes to ensuring that your valuable electronic devices arrive safely at your new home. From computers and smartphones to televisions and gaming consoles, these items are not only expensive but also contain crucial personal data. Here are eight effective ways to protect your devices during a professional move with removalists Central Coast, ensuring they remain intact and functional throughout the process.
Back Up Your Data
Before you even start packing, make sure to back up all your important data. Use an external hard drive, cloud storage, or both to ensure that your files, photos, and important documents are safe in case of any mishap. This step is crucial as it provides a safety net against data loss. Consider scheduling regular backups in the weeks leading up to your move to keep your data current. In addition, keep your backup devices or cloud access information easily accessible in case you need to retrieve any data during the transition.
Use Original Packaging
Whenever possible, pack your devices in their original boxes. These boxes are specifically designed to protect your devices during transit. They come with custom-shaped foam or cardboard inserts that hold the device securely and provide cushioning against shocks and vibrations. If you no longer have the original packaging, try to find boxes that are similar in size and use plenty of bubble wrap and packing paper to fill any gaps. For larger items like televisions, you can purchase specially designed TV moving boxes that offer extra protection.
Invest in Quality Packing Materials
If you don’t have the original packaging, invest in high-quality packing materials. Use anti-static bubble wrap for electronics, sturdy cardboard boxes, and packing peanuts or foam for additional cushioning. Ensure that the boxes are neither too large nor too small; the device should fit snugly without moving around. For added protection, consider using double-walled boxes which provide more strength and resistance to crushing. Additionally, you can use moving blankets or thick towels for extra padding around particularly delicate or high-value items.
Label Boxes Clearly
Clearly label each box with its contents and mark them as “Fragile.” This will alert movers to handle these boxes with extra care. Also, consider writing “This Side Up” on boxes containing sensitive equipment to ensure they are not turned upside down during the move. Using colour-coded labels or stickers can also help you identify different types of electronics quickly. For example, you can use blue labels for kitchen electronics, red for office equipment, and green for entertainment devices. This system can make unpacking and setting up your new home much more efficient.
Remove Batteries and Accessories
Remove any batteries, ink cartridges, or other accessories from your devices. This prevents potential leaks and damage. Pack these items separately but ensure they are clearly labelled so you can easily find them when setting up your devices in your new home. For rechargeable batteries, ensure they are fully charged before packing to avoid any issues with recharging them upon arrival. Also, detach any external components such as keyboards, mice, and speakers, and pack them securely. This reduces the risk of damage and makes it easier to organise your devices once you start unpacking.
Secure Cables and Small Parts
Bundle cables neatly and use twist ties or Velcro straps to keep them organised. Place cables, remote controls, and other small parts in labelled zip-lock bags and tape them to the corresponding device or pack them in a clearly marked box. This will make reassembling your electronics much easier. Consider taking photos of how the cables are connected to each device before disassembling them. These photos can serve as a reference when you are setting up your equipment in your new home, ensuring that everything is reconnected correctly and functions properly.
Avoid Extreme Temperatures
Electronic devices are sensitive to extreme temperatures. Try to keep them in a climate-controlled environment during the move. Avoid leaving them in a hot or cold vehicle for extended periods. If possible, transport them in your car where you can control the temperature. If you must store them temporarily, choose a storage facility with climate control to prevent damage from heat, cold, or humidity. Additionally, when you arrive at your new home, allow your electronics to acclimate to the new environment before powering them on. Rapid temperature changes can cause condensation and potential damage to the internal components.
Consider Professional Movers
If you have high-value or particularly fragile electronics, consider hiring professional movers who specialise in handling electronics. They have the expertise and equipment to pack and transport your devices safely. While it might be an additional cost, the peace of mind and reduced risk of damage can be well worth it. When choosing a moving company, look for those with good reviews and a proven track record of handling delicate items. You can also inquire about insurance options to cover your electronics during the move, providing an extra layer of protection in case of accidental damage.
Protecting your devices during a move requires careful planning and the right materials. By backing up your data, using appropriate packing materials, and considering professional help, you can ensure your electronics arrive safely at your new home. These precautions not only safeguard your expensive equipment but also help you avoid the inconvenience and cost of repairs or replacements. Additionally, taking the time to label and organise your items properly can make the unpacking process smoother and more efficient. Moving can be a hectic time, but with these strategies in place, you can focus on settling into your new space with confidence.

well 🧍🏻♀️I try to clear my screenshots folder every few months (especially during frequent playing sessions)
so I create a folder on my other drive (d drive), rename the folder with the dates of the earliest screenshot till the most recent one that’ll I’ll be moving over
Zip this folder (to try and reduce its size especially if it’s a lot of screenies) and I upload it to my Google drive + back it up on an external hard disk.
Every few months I delete the older/already backed up screenshot folders to empty space on my d drive. I like to keep my pc organised so I do cleanups of this sort more frequently and thus I don’t worry about deleting something since it immediately gets backed up once it’s zipped and out of the documents folder 🤓
📩 Simblr question of the day: What do you do with your screenshots after you post them? Delete them or hoard them on your PC forever?
answer in whatever way is most comfortable for you and feel free to share this SQOTD around, make sure to use the hashtag SQOTD and tag me in separate posts ~ 💛
This question was contributed by an anon! ~thank you for the SQOTD contribution~
#sqotd#my first one hehe#so I kinda hoard but not really? I do delete stuff but I like to keep a few months worth of screenshots so I can reminisce#I also use it to motivate me to play when I feel down idk it works most of the time#albeit I try not to take as much screenies as I used to and just try to enjoy the game as it is#m talks

Optimising Website Performance: Tips for Faster Loading Times
In this cutthroat competition in Singapore, with more and more businesses trying to build a presence online, it’s essential for business owners to improve their business websites. Among the numerous factors that may affect your audience reach and brand impression, page speed plays a crucial role. Websites that take longer to load tend to witness higher bounce rates and reduced average time spent on the page. If your page is lagging, you must also take immediate action. Hiring the best search engine optimisation company in Singapore can certainly help identify the reasons why your website is slow and how to optimise it.
Let’s take a closer look at the effective methods to optimise your page speed without altering the technical aspects:
Turn on data compression. Compressing files can be an ideal solution to improve your page loading speed. It makes the file smaller, so they zip through the internet faster. Utilise Gzip, a software application designed for file compression. However, make sure to maintain image quality while compressing the files.
Reduce Redirects: Hiring a reliable SEO company in Singapore can reduce redirects. Redirects can increase the page loading speed of your website, which can reduce its mobile friendliness. However, with guidance from SEO experts, you can identify the unnecessary redirects, implement proper redirects, and create a redirect mapping plan to improve the user experience.
Eliminate Render-Blocking JavaScript: Render-blocking resources are sections of code within website files, typically found in CSS and JavaScript, that impede the swift loading of a web page. These resources demand a significant amount of time for the browser to process, yet they may not be essential for the immediate user experience. Reaching out to experts who excel in search engine optimisation can help you with the process.
Utilise Browser Caching: Browsers cache various types of data like stylesheets, images, and JavaScript files. Caching effectively decreases the delay in the roundtrip time by swiftly fetching content. The duration needed to acquire the resource from the cache is significantly less than that of the origin server, resulting in an accelerated content delivery process. Opt for the best SEO company in Singapore to improve your overall website performance.
Improve Server Response Time: Response time stands as a vital metric for gauging the effectiveness of customer service, as it directly measures the speed at which customer inquiries receive replies. The speed of your server's response depends on traffic, resource usage, server software, and hosting. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, such as slow database queries and routing, by hiring iClick Media Pte. Ltd., the best search engine optimisation company in Singapore.
Use a Content Distribution Network (CDN): CDNs distribute the content delivery load across multiple servers in different locations. This ensures faster and more reliable access for users. It's like having multiple copies of your site stored in diverse data centres.
Optimise Images: Last but not least, make sure your images are appropriately sized and in the correct format (PNG for graphics with fewer than 16 colours, JPEG for photographs). Compress images for web use to reduce loading times. iClick Media Pte. Ltd. is the best search engine optimisation company in Singapore, well-versed in technical SEO to identify the underlying reasons making your website slow. Schedule an appointment today!

Hiiiii. the AU with the omegas racing while stuffed. I love it.
Max doing a promotional drive with a red bull can stretching out his pussy (its far to dangerous to race with one in but a few laps in a power reduced old car is fine.
Charles in his Sauber year being like Lando and needing a smaller dildo because hes tight. Progressively over the year though he is able to train himself to take bigger.
Alpha drivers making use of the Omega's extra zip to access their overstimulated wet pussies after races. Its easy for them to team up, one distracts the omega, the other reaches from behind and undoes that zip.
I am very intrigued by it too! The Omegas would not like it too much but its so normal for stuff like that to happen that they cant protest, because things like that will happen in any job Omegas do.
Red Bull definitely trains Max well to not only be a good driver but also being a good promotional asset. Red Bull especially has a lot of programmes were people can pay to see specific dildos in Max during races. Max is also squirter which helps him earn a lot of money too. But its too dangerous to have the an in his pussy during the race, but during a demo with an old car its perfect! It takes some opening up to get it in and it takes a while once he is the car for the seatbelt people to shove it into him but he looks so pretty once its in, already having squirted and just shuddering as he keeps on coming from the stretch.
Charles in sauber having the cutest tiny dildo too but he knows that Ferrari has a size standard when it comes to the dildos. He knows he needs to practise getting bigger ones to fit inside him. I can see Ferrari making him get a piercing too just to be a bit more special
People pay to see the weirdest stuff, like clear dildos to see the inside of the pretty pussies, or to have weird shaped or sized dildos in there, or even ones that move to fuck into them. Ofcourse drivers peeing in the car still happens too and some people pay to see it.
Alphas like the zippers too, and even though the Omegas are zipped back up when they are getting out of the car, it is easy enough to work together with another Alpha and open it again. Especially if its 2 Alphas and 1 Omega on the podium, you bet they need to touch that leaking, overly sensitive Omega pussy even if the Omegas whine and try to wiggle away. They keep it undone on the podium too, maybe even try to fit the trophy into those leaking pussies if its a good shape for that.

hello and welcome to: I am procrastinating part 2. A few days ago I decided to just write down things I’ve learned from having a royal simblr for almost six months, this includes sending sims over, hosting an event, things i’ve learned on collabs and some lil tips from someone who has also started from zero.
guide on how to send your sims over for events
guide on hosting an event
tips on starting out
tips on collabs (giving your sims away to others, etc.)
and my old screenshots tips
ill also add every single guide’s transcript under the cut for easy reading if anyone doesn’t want to go to each page. its long since it has everything !!
I. How to send your sims over for events.
1. Dressing your sims
Whenever I send my sims over, I try and put all their outfits in the ‘Everyday’ category. For example, you’ve been invited to a wedding. The invite says morning dress with hats for the ceremony and gowns with sashes for the reception. This means that in total you’ll only have two outfits in the ‘Everyday’ category. This makes it easier for the host to switch between scenes; if there’s over twenty sims in a household (or even less), it takes a WHILE with MC Dresser to load the outfits, with the host being sure the second outfit is the one for the second scene, it reduces possibly waiting time or errors on choosing the ‘wrong’ outfit.
2. Putting bathrobes on the rest of the outfits.
Okay, you have your sims dressed! Now for the rest of the outfit categories, these being formal, sleepwear, swimwear, hot weather, cold weather, etc. make sure you remove ALL possible CC, this essentially means stripping everything from them: hair, eyelashes, makeup, shoes, accessories, etc. They should have NO CC and should literally be in their underwear. There’s always a possibility the person you are sending your sims to might have a nude top/bottom mod/replacement OR they could even be sent said file. So to prevent possible naked sims, I recommend dressing your sims in bathrobes.
There are base game bathrobes available, so dress them in those. Here’s literally how your sim should be looking in all other outfits other than the ones following the dress code, keep in mind my hairline is in skin details!
Personally, I keep these sims as ‘base sims’; if I need to send my sims over to another event in the future, I just use the same household I had used previously, change their outfits accordingly and save them as a new household again. Like this, I no longer have to add bathrobes or remove cc from the other categories. Now the final step is just saving your household to your gallery!
3. Extracting your sims
Tray importer is your best friend to extract your sims! There’s both Windows / Mac versions.
All you do is open the program, click on the household you want to send over, click on the drop down menu next to the save button, and do Export with CC. This will make a pop-up appear of where you want to save your sims, change the file name, etc. It’ll usually save as a .zip.
4. [extra but nice step to do for the host] Getting rid of sub-folders.
I personally don’t mind doing this for the sims I’m receiving but others might have differing opinions. BUT! Sometimes when the items are in too many subfolders, there might be a chance the item won’t show up ingame.
This doesn’t mean it happens always, it has only happened to me ONCE, but still, to make sure I’m not accidentally missing some files, I move all files from each person I receive into their own singular folder. For example, instead of having this inside my mods folder, with who knows how many sub-folders inside,
I have this:
Again, all this for the slightest chance the piece of CC in the sim is inside TOO many sub-folders and it decides not to show up.
5. Do I send merged files?
I personally think that if said merged file is under 50mb, it’s no big deal, as LONG as it doesn’t increase your overall folder size too much. If your folder is already 200mb, and a singular pair of shoes is inside the merged file, it would be best to just send the .package file of the shoes. If you as the host, receive a big merged file, I’d recommend kindly asking the invitee if they could tell you what CC their sim is wearing that is included in the merged file. Now, I’ve received my fair share of big merged files. If it bothers you a lot, like, say a merged file is 500mb, you can unmerge it yourself and remove all unnecessary CC. Here’s a tutorial on how to unmerge .package files.
AFTER you have unmerged, I usually remove the merged .package file from the folder, bring in the Unmerged folder into the Invitee’s folder, open my game, save the household, open Tray Importer to check which CC is actually being used in the household and remove the rest.
6. What about default replacements?
I personally don’t recommend sending over default replacements. This includes default feet, hands, skins, lips, nude tops/bottoms, etc. Eyes aren’t usually that big of a deal and I’ve only had problems ONCE with someone’s default eyes replacing my own. To prevent this possibly happening, the chances are VERY low, but what you can do is send your sims over with facepaint version of your eyes. Remember, you have to put this facepaint in all outfits you have.
7. I use sliders, should I send them over?
Again, I don’t recommend sending sliders with your sims. In Tray Importer, you can uncheck the slider OR, extract your .zip file yourself and delete the slider files.
8. Sending your finished folder.
To do this, you really have a lot of options, but I recommend Wetransfer, Dropbox or Google Drive, since they have the most stable servers. If you wanted to and have a simfileshare account, you could also upload them there for convenience. After you’ve uploaded your folder, you’ll just have to send the link to download to the host!
TL;DR so overall tips:
don’t send your sims over with sliders, default replacements and merged files that are too large.
try and dress your sims in bathrobes or BG clothes.
do NOT send recolors without meshes.
get rid of unneccesary CC in all other outfit categories.
make sure your folder and mods folder have your blog’s name for the host to easily be able to identify that you already sent your sims to them.
try and keep the file as small as possible!
II. Hosting an Event
woo! you’re hosting an event! this can be a wedding, a little informal party, a birthday, tea party, a luncheon, etc.! so far, I’ve had TWO big events with multiple people: my big royal wedding and a lil toddler’s birthday party.
for both of these events, I approached them the same way BEFORE taking any photos: first of all, and the MOST important question: what’s going to happen? from this question you will plan out the different activities that your Event will have and the different settings/scenes you’ll have to do.
Depending on your event, the list of activities might be small or short. Using my own wedding as an example, I knew I was going to pose ALL guests three times: one for their arrivals, one for the wedding ceremony and one for the reception. To guide me, I made my own Sheet to keep track of ALL guests and if I had already taken their photos:
The sheet is divided as follows:
The guests’ url.
The guests titles. Don’t guess. ASK! Make sure you have the correct titles.
If i had received them yet.
If I had already taken their Arrival Photo.
If they were VISIBLE in the Photos inside the Church.
if they were visible mingling inside the reception.
I personally have all my guests at once in my household with the help of MCCC, but if your computer can’t handle it you can always take the photos in sets and divide the guests in smaller groups.
1. Make sure all Guests can be seen.
Now, depending on the amount of guests you have, you might not be able to get all of them in a singular screenshot and might have to divide the guests in two groups, meaning two different screenshots. For example:
It’s important to be aware if all guests are visible in every group screenshot you take. You DON’T want to forget anyone. Which is where the sheet comes in handy to double check that all your guests are currently in your screenshots. To make it a bit easier, you could also do seating arrangements.
You might wonder, well I already showed them in the ceremony, do I have to show them again in the reception? quick answer: YES.
People spent their time dressing and sending their sims for you. They don’t have to be full on the FRONT of the screenshot. They can be FULLY seen in the back. The important thing is that they’re seen. For example, I grouped two groups in one singular photo; one is closer to the camera, but this doesn’t mean the other group is obstructed. It’s all angles.
2. Plan out your posts in advance.
You don’t want the date to come around and be unsure what to post first and at what time. You also want to make sure that in the posts where ALL your guests appear you don’t miss @‘ing someone. For my wedding, I did an itinerary for myself:
You could also just go with the ~flow and post on the established date at whatever hours you feel like. It’s all personal preference!
3. Overall tips
More doesn’t always mean better. Your event doesn’t need 40 guests to be considered ‘amazing’ or ‘successful’. Instead, what you’re doing is making it harder for you for no reason. Again, the more guests does not equal your event will instantly be ‘big’ and ‘popular’ and ‘amazingly gorgeous’. What makes an event are the decorations, the venue, the set-ups, the clothes, the screenshots (!!!) etc. Not the amount of sims.
One of your guests is missing a dress, hair or another piece of cc? Contact the invitee and let them know. If they sent you a hair/pair of shoes that are part of a pack you don’t own, then send them possible options out of all the CC you have for them to choose. DON’T CHOOSE FOR THEM. LET THEM KNOW BEFORE DOING ANYTHING.
Goes hand in hand with my last point, don’t change anything from your guests’ without the invitee’s permission. For example, one of your guests is wearing the same dress as your Princess! What you would do in this situation is either change your Princess’ dress OR contact the invitee and kindly ask if they could choose another dress for their sim. Don’t choose for them. DON’T.
If your event deadline is coming up, kindly personally send a reminder to them that haven’t sent you their sims.
If you want one of your sims to interact with someone else’s sims, ask for permission. Don’t just ’guess’ that the invitee will be okay with say, your princess dancing with their Crown Prince. ASK before anything; this includes possible interactions and dialogue.
If you want to include ANY guest in a possible BTS’ after your event is over, ask for permission. Ask for permission for ANYTHING that has to do with sims that aren’t your own.
read simoviacourt’s collab etiquette guide AGAIN.
you can use someone else’s already done event as a guide, such as what order of activities they did.
III. Starting Out.
1. No big events when you’re starting out.
I’ve seen this happen before and as much as you want to show off your beautiful wedding or coronation, do not do one when your blog is new. I’ve done a wedding and my friends have done coronations: they take so much effort from your part and when you’re just starting out, chances are maybe less than three people will see it.
While it’s very very important you do your story for yourself and things you like, we are all in simblr and are looking for others’ to see our work. I’d say, personally, wait a few months until you have a very base set of followers before doing one.
2. Plan a few posts and if possible an arc in advance before starting to post.
This will help you know where you plan for your story to go and have an already set order of posts that have to happen. Even better if you have an arc ready, since like this, you’ll be able to fully plan out all the necessary posts and see if you’re missing anything.
When I started, I had around maybe twenty posts ready for me to be able to post everyday. This including introductory posts of all my characters, establishing their personalities and their backstories.
3. Make sure you know your characters before starting out.
I think the title is self-explanatory, but it’s important to know how your characters acts in public/private, their personality traits, their dislikes and likes, if they have any insecurities, if they have any habits, etc.
4. Don’t expect interactions.
gracisims (hi graci) answered a similar tips questions and she encapsulates this point completely. I personally didn’t get a singular ask until my current generation 2 characters (Amelia, Harry and Oliver) were almost teens. I started in late September and this didn’t happen until late November. Even then, the asks were very scarce. The thing is, I didn’t and don’t mind at all. I enjoy working and doing my story to the fullest, so not getting asks isn’t the end of the world. It’s nice when it happens, so be appreciative.
I had to go through organic growth, meaning I was full on relying on posting everyday and interacting with others’ to start growing. I read a lot of stories, but not all, and that’s absolutely fine! Support your favorite creators and in the way, you’ll also get to know others’ stories.
Please, please don’t go around ’pretending’ to read others’ stories, overtly and exaggeratedly complimenting others without being actually genuine just to ‘get your name out there’ and liking without reading others’ stories just to get noticed. It’s incredibly rude for the writer.
Another point, don’t try and force interaction. Do not send yourself anons pretending to be someone else just because you want to motivate others to send you questions too. Yes, sometimes others see questions and are like ‘well, i wanna send in a question too!’ but pretending you’re a reader when you’re the writer sending yourself questions is sad. This includes sending yourself positive comments, story comments or questions and even negative comments.
I’ve been in so many different fandoms and people sending themselves anon hate is not something I haven’t seen. This usually roots from a low self-esteem problem, this being about their story or other reasons, and to look for validation and comfort from others, some people really don’t see another choice but to 'pretend’ to be someone else and send themselves anon hate with their biggest insecurities 'exposed’.
Please don’t do this, instead you can talk it out with someone in the community, a friend or even a group of friends so you can analyze the situation and see how you can fix the different things troubling you. Don’t like how your story is going? Ask a friend to help you brainstorm new ideas.
Sorry this point is so long, but also if you aren’t interacting with others’ and their stories at all then don’t expect many people to interact with yours and then complain about it. It’s very simple: communities are give and take, and not just 'Hey, I just posted. Look! Thanks!’.
5. Try not to compare yourself and your story to others.
You have to come to terms that even if you grow as much as you want, there can still be a chance of you comparing yourself to others. This can be because of screenshots, story, dialogue, arcs, etc. It’s completely normal. What you have to remember is that not everyone’s stories are the same and we all do things differently.
You can also take this as a positive constructive aspect. For example, If you don’t like how your screenshots are looking, then look into how to make them more aesthetically pleasing. Don’t like your dialogue? Do your research on how to improve.
6. Your story takes priority, collabs second.
Collabs are great but if it comes to a point where 80% of your posts come from a collab, then we’re in a bit of a problem. Hosting events is hard (see my hosting guide here!) and time-consuming. Personally, don’t host an event every week, every two weeks, every three weeks, etc. Do them once in a while. The theme doesn’t matter, just don’t do them so often.
IV. Giving sims away.
1.1 Giving your sims away.
This is a big deal. You are giving away one of your sims and they’ll no longer be fully yours. It’s important to understand that. Something to keep in mind is who are they marrying: an heir or a spare? Direct family? Extended family? There’s a set of questions you have to ask yourself before fully agreeing to giving someone away:
1. Who are they marrying? 2. If it’s important to you, what’s their place in the line of succession? 3. What is their personality like? 4. How does it work out with your story?
Please remember to be genuine when giving your sims away. Are you doing it because you want to genuinely collab or because it ’gives you more exposure’ if you give it to an already established blog?
In some cases, you get to keep your sim and receive their partner to include in your save and be included actively in your story. In others, you are giving your sim to others, therefore they would no longer live with the rest of your main family and be seen less often.
1.2 Receiving sims.
When receiving sims, remember you can’t change anything about said sim. This includes skin details, face shape, lip shape, jaw, etc.!
Some tips I’ve learned overall:
When making future children, ask for the other person’s input. Don’t just pick and decide the children they’re gonna have on your own. Same thing goes for choosing the children’s names. This is, after all, a collab between two people. The usual thing to do is, you send your sim, they send you theirs, and both of you make possible children options. Not just you or them. Cases vary, maybe the person you’re collabing with gives you full freedom.
Double-check with the person you’re doing a collab with all posts involving their character.
Ask questions about the character that are relevant to you and your character. What are they like? What would they do in [x] scenario? What is their personality? What do they hate? Like? Dislike? What’s their relationship with their parents? And many other questions.
My best advice is to always double-check with the other person before doing anything how they think their character would behave, talk or if they’d even do a certain action. This includes dialogue (how they speak, level of formality/informality, their personality also has an impact here, etc.) and interactions in ALL behind-the-scenes posts, official posts, etc. For example, let’s say my Princess Emilia is dating a Prince called Cristian. I want Cristian to be angry at Emilia for missing his soccer game. He snaps at her and punches the wall. If i want to do this, before even doing ANYTHING, I have to ask the person I’m collabing with if their character would act this way, why and how would they try to solve this problem. I can’t just DO the scene and post it. Two. People. Are. Collabing. Always check if what you’re doing is in-character for their character.
Be genuine and actually be actively reading the other person’s story to make sure you also get to know the character and their surroundings. I’m gonna say it again: don’t do it for exposure and to get your name out there. Please !!!!!!!!!!!! It’s very rude !!!!!!!!!! And obvious !!!!!!!!!
Make sure you are fully ready to handle someone else’s sim and give them a nice home! If someone’s sending you their sim and you do the bare minimum like, “[Person] and [Person] are dating!” and then they just disappear and are never shown again. Well ?!?!?!?!?! Make sure you are doing this for the right reasons.
When planning arcs, ask for the other person’s opinion. Yes, third time I’m emphasizing this. Double-check if everything is alright every single time. Don’t guess or think the other person is going to be alright with it. Ask !!! You two can even brainstorm together for possible arcs involving your two characters. This isn’t an uni group project where you can free ride from someone else.
Don’t beg or give indirects about wanting a collab with a specific person. It comes off weird and a bit pushy.
Don’t purposefully look into only collabing with big established blogs. There’s so many people out there looking to collab in many different aspects, being something very set like a marriage or a passing thing, like a fling. first love or even a possible marriage and then divorce. Don’t pretend you don’t see those just because you’re looking into collabing with a specific person.
And last but not least, make sure you trust and know the person. I personally only give my sims away to my friends and people I’ve interacted a bunch for months. If someone offers you a sim but they’ve never before done a collab like they’re asking, for example marriage, and you’re already feeling unsure about it, I personally would have to deny the request. I would wait to see how they approach a collab first, if our storytelling ways match and If i genuinely like their story.
#u guys i think i found my calling and its making guides. like i just find it so much fun to just write down things and number them ?!?!?#no one laugh. also if anyone wants to add anything just h#HMU!! ugh the tags interrupted me#howto#remember how i did a whole ass banquet room for amelivers wedding. and then said no nvm. The Mechanics of Living part 2
Summary: You trick Tim into going to a closed-off sector. Things go well. a/n: I will be doing a director’s cut for this is anyone is interested (by anyone I mean @glorified-red) Warnings: very slight body horror and gore
Main Masterlist
Tim Drake Masterlist
It was easiest to just tell Tim all the facts rather than rely on the goodwill you've built in 3 years to persuade him.
There's a reason sector 4-D was cordoned off last year. For some unknown reason, a section that had been little more than a concrete wasteland started teeming with infected life.
People say it was an abomination (An unidentifiable, Tim corrected but you still think abomination captured the appropriate dramatic for that.) that wandered in from farther in the waste. Some people say it was one of Bludhaven's beasts they let loose. You highly doubt Bludhaven was in any shape to contain whatever it is ravaging sector 4-D. After all, it wasn't in any better shape than Gotham was at the moment. You doubt it's ever been in better shape. They're like two cities constantly caught in this vortex of awfulness, looking at each other from two different sides thinking 'poor bastards'.
Sector 4-D was an easy hunting ground where young scavengers got their feet wet before they could move on. Now it was a dead zone, a dead zone with too much potential to pass up.
Like every sector, sector 4 was vast and unexplored and supposedly, there had been a library there. A building full of books and most importantly, medical textbooks.
You feel a little bad plucking at Tim's heartstrings when all you cared about was the payout. Appealing to the guy's sense of responsibility was kind of cheating but-- BUT! The specified textbooks do have stuff about bacteria and illnesses so you aren't really overstating their importance.
You try to push down the number of zeroes the man had shown you as you zip past a rusted sign.
You don't really trust anyone other than Tim to help you with this. Besides, all the other people who won't stab you after cashing in the reward probably don't know half as many words as Tim so you'll definitely need him to get the right books.
You stare at the rows of cars before you. They're overrun with weeds and vines and rust. A stark reminder that your Gotham is just a fraction of what it had been. You stop your bike in front of a taxi with a faded yellow body.
"This is it. This is where your life as an adventurer begins."
You swallow back the wave of nostalgia, letting the bike roll past it into the mess of cars to keep it a little more hidden. It isn't illegal to go to this sector yet. At least not when you checked but you really don't wanna gamble your Scavenger's license on clerical errors by either of your guilds.
Tim steps out of the sidecar, careful not to jostle Basil in his bag. You want to point out that you should probably wake the cat up otherwise you were wasting food on him but you knew better than to expect cooperation from Tim's fur ball from hell.
“So which theory about the illness do you think is the most plausible?” He asks, tucking the walkman away. You both thought it was stupid name but you didn’t really wanna question the teller. “The one that involves the least aliens.” You pause, narrowing your eyes at Tim whose hand is currently being eaten by his cat. “Or alien adjacent things.”
“So, you're one of those people who thinks the government did it.” Tim is *such* a little shit. Maybe that’s why his guild master gave him the most useless cat on the planet. Grade A my ass, you think staring at the furball nipping at his knuckles.
“Not on purpose, no.”
Tim raises a brow. “I didn't know you had that much faith in humanity.”
“Pffff, I think they just fucked up.”
“Here, I was accusing you of being optimistic.”
“A mistake really.”
You two come to a crossroads. A giant large yellow lantern hangs in the middle of the street, swaying listlessly in the air. It’s strange.
“Do you think the people in the old world used those to scare away the sick?”
“If they did,” he looks around, “it didn't work.”
Your eyes flit over the area. Stone walls crumble, vegetation willing in the cracks. Still, even with the overgrowth of life, the city feels hollowed out. Nearly a decade ago, you’d first laid a hand on one of the stone arches of the city hall just down by main street. Nearly a decade ago, you felt the stone crumble beneath the pads of your fingers. Nearly a decade ago, you had come the closest to knowing what it was like having the sickness. Even one of the great cities had been reduced to a fraction of its size.
“Do you think the color of the light matters?” Tim asks, pointing again to the lamp.
You squint. You hadn’t noticed it at first but yeah, the color of the lights was different.
“Maybe,” you tilt your head, “or maybe the people from before were just idiots.”
“You just have a bad opinion of them, don’t you?”
“Like you don’t.” You shoot back, tapping your bat against your boot.
Tim rolls his eyes and shrugs.
You try to smile at that but something’s wrong. Your skin bristling, the air is stale despite the wind. You watch the lantern sway back and forth, the thin wires holding it up, fragile and precarious. A bad feeling crawls up your spine.
There’s a pressure in the air, the atmosphere turning into a vacuum.
Basil hisses, looking as vicious as he can.
The wind stops.
The skittering voices rise like the fluttering of locust wings.
A writhing mass, pulsing and menacing, blots out the horizon. It opens its maw to wheeze and the stench of rot floods the air. Your insides curdle and wilt from the intensity of the putrid odor. Once the *thing* draws another breath, the skittering begins again and this time you know where it’s from.
You can see it in the way its neck twists and undulates, its rotting flesh rippling as the fragmented voices rasp out of its throat. Its limbs, deformed, move unnaturally as it ambles towards you.
You stare at it. Your limbs unmoving. That thing *is* an unidentifiable. In all technicality, it fits the neat taxonomy laid out by experts. It is neither man nor beast. Its form corrupted beyond recognition. It’s rotting and shambling. But the thing you are looking at cannot simply be sorted neatly because it is what it is.
A creature that god himself did not touch.
An abomination.
You splay a hand on Tim’s chest, pushing him back lightly. Glancing at each other, you nod as you slowly step back into an alley. You quietly curse Gotham’s gloomy weather for the thing’s appearance. You thought you would have at least ‘til sundown to look for loot before having to flee to a safer sector. But when in Gotham, nothing is ever certain even the rising of the sun.
All you have to do is be quiet. Easy enough. Being silent is the first thing you learn to be in this world.
It blinks at you.
It. Blinks. At. *You.*
Your heart stops, the blood running in your veins turning into lead.
Dozens of eyes blink at you. They’re not all human from the looks of them. It opens its maw again, your muscles bunch up in anticipation of its miasmal breath. The discordant voices coming from its mouth coalesce into a horrible sob.
Tim grabs your wrist and pivots towards an alley. The sudden change in movement shocks your body awake. You scoop Basil up and bolt down the alley, letting Tim lead the way.
Desperately, You try to concentrate on the scuff of your shoes against pavement instead of the creak of limbs and the plop of flesh as it drips off the creature. The pinching of Tim’s features tells you he’s doing the same.
You round the corner, shoulder hitting brick, narrowly avoiding dozens of hands reaching for you. Basil yowls and hisses and you would apologize but your shoulder is screaming at you and goddammit Basil, we have bigger issues.
You and Tim squeeze into a space between the buildings seemingly too small for that thing’s gelatinous form. You make the mistake of looking back only to see its limbs skitter up the building and down the other end of the alley. It smiles at you, rows of teeth glittering in the sparse light.
This was it.
This is where your life ends.
Where else is there to go?
You expect the acceptance to come in like a flood or relief. Life was hard with very little room for breath. Scraping by, tooth and nail, knuckles bleeding for every scrap of stability. You close your eyes and take a deep breath. You suddenly feel so tired like the adrenaline had been keeping you together for the past few years. Acceptance should have come easy.
But it doesn’t.
You open your eyes to glance at Tim, finally resignation sets. His features are still pinched and his hand is trembling beside yours. You really did screw this one up big time, huh?
You bite your cheek.
Watching Tim’s mind work, you know you have to keep him alive. You squeeze Tim's hand. He narrows his eyes at you. You give him a crooked smile and let his hand fall.
You pivot, foot pushing against the pavement as you launch yourself to the other end of the alley.
If your estimates are correct, you can buy him 15 minutes. 15 minutes would be more than enough for him to make it back to the bike--
Tim yanks on your hood, throwing open a door. The creature howls as Tim hurls both of you into the building.
"What the heck was that?!" Tim screams.
"A Dick." You answer, rubbing your head. fuck. Tim could throw.
"No! You were being fucking stupid."
You scowl at him in the dark. "Thanks Tim. I get it."
"No, you don't!"
"Can we argue--"
The door rattles and shakes. A fist-shaped dent embeds itself on the metal door. You glance at each other before scrambling towards the very safe-looking stairs.
You fly up the steps like hell was on your heels and as far as you're concerned, it was. You wrench Tim's bag from him and you're half tempted to throw him over your shoulder as well but you're not sure the stare case can hold that much weight.
If you climb to the roof-- If you... climb... It can climb. Fuck.
You and Tim seem to come to the same conclusion as you throw yourselves into another door.
You shove a sofa in front of the door and sit on it.
"Please tell me you've miraculously come up with a plan." You hiss glancing over to Tim who's staring at the window.
He glances over his shoulder to look at you. "If I could pull off miracles, you wouldn't be so dumb."
You sigh. Ok, yeah. He has every right to be mad. It was an incredibly stupid move but it's a numbers game and yeah.
Tim runs his hand through his hair, tugging at the strands. He needs to come up with something. He glances out the window. He walks over and leans out the window.
"We should jump."
"Would you like to elaborate?" You wheeze, still not really letting go of a
"Follow me."
"Tim, I have never trusted you less in my life." You snort, quietly. But you make your way to the window. You set Basil down and look at what Tim is pointing to. There's a dumpster filled to the brim with trash. There doesn't seem to be any infected mice in there and the road to the right is a straight shot back to the bike.
You lick your lips.
"So we're on the same page."
"Uh, if that means what I think it means then yes."
Tim lets out a breath as he opens the window as quietly as possible. You listen to the steady beat of limbs thumping against the wood. You hold a collective breath. The window clicks into place with a loud snikt.
The thumping stops.
You practically shove Tim out the window while you stare at the door. It rattles and shakes. A screech erupts the stairwell as you jump out the window. You land with a thump, sinking beneath the mounds of plastic.
Your heart is hammering and pressing into your throat. Its beat is in sync with the steady thump of the limbs. The wet squelching of rotting flesh scraping against the rusted metal of the dumpster. You want to heave but Tim shoves a hand in your face. You gag silently. Tim's hand smells putrid from the trash.
You hold your breaths until the thumping goes away. You don't dare breathe until Basil settles down.
You fall limp against the trash. Your limbs feel like jelly. You gag. Thinking about jelly right now is probably the worst thing for your health.
Tim nudges you with his foot. You turn your body over as quietly as you can.
You watch him make shapes with his hands. You frown. You cycle through your memory trying to remember what the gestures mean then let go of Basil when you do.
Basil rises from the trash, padding against the plastic.
When you hear Basil jump down to the pavement, you dig your way out of the trash.
"For the record, I hate your plans." You say, gagging.
"What was yours?" Tim fires back, dusting his hair.
"..."
"Just what I thought."
You're the first to climb out, holding your arms out to him mockingly. He silently threatens to curb stomp your face. You snort and tuck your hands to your side.
Thankfully, you make it to the bike without incident.
Tim tucks his body into the sidecar, occupying himself by comforting Basil. You hand him a bat as you start the bike.
"Just in case."
You kick the bike into gear as you two ride into the sunset.
You breathe a quiet breath, letting your eyes slip shut for a moment. The road is clear for about 14 breaths. That’s all you want to think about.
At the fourteenth breath, you open your eyes to an open expanse of road, endless and breathtaking. You turn to Tim and laugh. He gives you a sour look. You’ll just buy both of you some canned pineapples later and he’ll maybe forgive you. Basil certainly does as he doesn’t participate in Tim’s sour protest, opting instead to crawl into Tim’s bag.
Then you hear it above the roar of the engine.
The skittering.
Voices like the fluttering of wings.
It screeches, the raspy cry making your skin crawl. You don’t wanna look back. You don’t want to see the unnatural movement of its body as it bounds towards you.
You kick the bike to a higher gear. The engine will hate you but you can’t repair it if you’re dead.
The bike slows down. Tim stands up raising your bat over his head, bringing it down. It does not clang. The sound is squishier and moist. Your stomach rebels. Hazarding a glance behind you, you see the writhing mass holding onto your bike.
“TIM,” you shout.
“I--” Swing “-- AM--” Swing “--A LITTLE--” Swing “--BUSY!” “THERE’S A CAN OF HAIRSPRAY IN MY DUFFLE.”
Tim ducks down, throwing you the bat. You swing wildly at the creature, summoning up a truly impressive bout of swearing.
Tim sprang up, nearly falling off the sidecar if not for you grabbing his shirt. Tim flicked the lighter, pressing down on the nozzle of the spray, and unleashing fire on the beast. The thing cries, voice shattering as it burns. You watch its flesh burn. Oh, what a pleasure it was to see it burn.
"We are never doing this again!" Tim wheezes.
"Of definitely fucking not." You bark, kicking the bike to a higher gear. The purring of the engine sounds like music to your ears.
"We are definitely doing easy sectors by a bit." You laugh.
When you don’t hear a snarky remark, you glance to your sidecar. Tim is slumped into his seat, breathing hard. You raise your brow but turn your attention to the road. You shake him. You shake him again and again.
Tim doesn't respond.
You pull your hand away and it’s slick with blood.
