From frenemies to best friends to soulmates.
Quinn & Logan didn't exactly start off on the right footing, yet it was this friction that allowed them to grow. Seemingly polar opposites, they appeared to have little to nothing in common, except their begrudging tolerance of one another.
However, it became strikingly apparent that they were very much two sides of the same coin... It just took a little time (& one particular bench!) for them to see that what they truly wanted & needed, was right there all along.

Omg but, when Logan heard Hugo was a Murderer he was confused about what Stacey was saying but instinctively reached to put Quinn behind him. Like he didn't know what was happening but he still reacted quickly to protect his wife 😭❤❤❤❤

Zoey 102 is exactly what I thought it would be, and I don’t mean that negatively.
I only wish it had MORE Quinn and Logan. I know that after all this time, a substantial portion of this movie would be about Zoey and Chase FINALLY getting together — and staying together. I appreciate the female-led creative team giving their story some depth to bridge the years of adulthood, BUT there is much more meat with Quinn and Logan.
Erin Sanders is giving the best and surprisingly vulnerable performance in this movie, and I just want to see more of her. I want Matthew Underwood to have more real estate to tug back those layers of Logan Reese as an adult. I can see them. They’re RIGHT THERE.
I read an interview with the director, Nancy Hower (because the writers and actors are on strike until the AMPTP brings them a fair deal), and she said they have hopes to keep the franchise going in more movies and even a sequel show.
I honestly think that could be fun.
Considering how iCarly was able to reinvent itself and become a stronger show, I think Zoey 102 (or whatever it would be called by then) could do the same, especially if it keeps a female-led (!!!) team.
A show would really open up this rom-com and allow the creatives to get into the depths of these characters and their relationships all these years later, AND it wouldn’t have to rely so heavily on Zoey — and Zoey & Chase — then.

okay, can we just talk about how (in my opinion) they got the characterisation of quinn and logan right?
quinn was always somewhat socially awkward, so her not wanting the large wedding is 100% on point. logan was always trying to be the centre of attention, wanting to be extravagant and going way too hard.
so logan being the groomzilla? nailed it.
throughout the series, both had development. once quinn moved in with lola/zoey, she kept her quirks but also meshed with the group well. for logan, in season four when they got together, he kept his selfish motions but also let the façade fall, leading to their public outburst.
i wish we had learnt more about their last decade (and more) together, but we know enough to see that quinn is badass - and logan has been by her side the entire time. he is her biggest supporter, wants everything to be perfect for them, even if that is not achievable.
they've grown together.
like all couples, they have communication issues. but they have grown together, and they eventually had a wedding for both of them at the place they fell in love.
(also in the future if they have children, logan is gonna be the helicopter parent, for sure)
(also, we all know that when quinn went to college, logan just applied to random places near her, so they were no more than an hour apart)

i'm so morbidly curious about your thoughts on zoey 102 now i know you actually watched it..
okay, so right off the bat, i stand by my statement that it made sense for the characters that weren't present to be absent but the way they went OUT OF THEIR WAY to pointedly exclude nicole bristow/alexa nikolas' character was fucking petty omg.
also i think that stacy/mark just took the cake as the absolutely worst nickeloden ship to ever exist. i was fully expecting them to straight up break up in the final act lmfao.
quinn and logan were perfect, i don't think i have a single complaint there at all. i think they way they shaped their relationship on screen made so much sense for the characters, i love the deeper dive into quinn and her life. i was little confused because i don't remember logan ever having a sister but yknow. that's fine lol. their wedding was perfect, even if it didn't really make sense that they just left the beach-side school empty for fifteen plus years.
there were so many better ways that chase and zoey could have been endgame/had a re-finding your first love plot than her just... pining over him for almost twenty years while he never spoke to her that entire time. it wasn't really in character for either of them? definitely not for zoey.
i'm really disappointed that michael was so under utilized. he quite literally barely even got to speak, and he was a much more important and relevant character in the show than stacey or mark ever were. he should have had a bigger role, that was just. does not sit right with me.
why was there a murderer subplot.......... hello.

Zoey 102 spoilers
After that deliciously entertaining and homoerotic karaoke duet scene, I legit would have much preferred the Todd/Hugo reveal to be that he was gay rather than a straight-up murderer. Seriously, his and Chase's chemistry was 🔥🔥🔥.
If they were so set on the murder reveal, I thought he should have been arrested at the wedding. This movie was supposed to be a silly, nostalgic romcom of sorts, so ending it with Todd cackling at a body bag in the trunk feels like an odd note to leave it on.
Also, idk, that guy was so funny and such a scene stealer. Aside from the Dirty Dancing move, I will never get over him wearing Zoey's maid of honor pjs and honestly being a better maid of honor all around than she was. Seriously iconic.

Ok so I have yet to see Zoey 102 as it doesn't drop here till tomorrow but idk how to feel about PCA essentially being a scam and Dean Rivers embezzling money... like idk I haven't seen the movie but it seems unnecessary for PCA to be a scam? Like Dean Rivers himself went there as a kid and it was always held as this old prestigious school in the series or at least from what I remember so like what went wrong? And I used to really enjoy Dean Rivers as a character, he was one of my favourites of the adults along with Coco so it sucks that they just decided he was commiting fraud the whole time 🫠 idk I'm still excited to watch for quogan mostly but that PCA thing seems so random 😅

Can I just say that with these new spoilers and trailers it has me really craving for a new Zoey 101 series! I only want it for more Quogan moments because what we’ve gotten is so amazing! Look at them, even before they were took to after they became a couple at PCA and too now as adults. Look at their smiles, how happy they are together. Logan at the end just looks so happy to be there and marry Quinn

He’s had the same smile on his face since they became a couple. He loves Quinn so much he just wants he to be happy and to be with her!
I need this movie to come out already so I can see it all. I was really hoping we wouldn’t have a run away bride scene but I don’t mind it if it means we get this cute moment at the end.
Fingers crossed we could potentially get a Zoey 101 sequel series. Maybe on the concept of how Friends or How I Met Your Mother was. See them as adults, dealing with work and life issues and possibly a Quogan pregnancy & baby scene 😍😍

If ya’ll haven’t already RT/QT Nathan’s tweet, please do it now! Some fishy business is happening with the numbers; they are fluctuating more than my mental health lol
We need it boosted another 2k roughly.
Also can any other fandom give us a wee hand? It would be much appreciated!
It’s so rare to have one half of ship being so committed & open with their support by creating a dedicated playlist. It’s so refreshing.

EDIT: Pirate it. Do not support Paramount.
I used to passively watch Zoey 101 when it was on TV, acknowledging that it was another very dumb Dan Schneider show. I didn't necessarily like much about it UNTIL Quinn and Logan became a couple... Anyways, now like 17 years later I'm watching the Zoey 102 movie on Paramount Plus just for those two.

Now that I've had a chance to watch it properly, I've got to say... I actually really liked it!
I think it did a good job at incorporating the quackiness of the original, with slightly more adult themes. Yes, it was cliché and cheesy, but that's exactly what you want from a Zoey 101 reboot.
Of course, there are things I'd nitpick (for one, more Quogan scenes!) but I didn't mind the focus on Zoey. It did something the show never really achieved for me... It humanised her. She wasn't Miss Perfect... Her life is messy, she's isolated herself from friends, thrown herself into her work to avoid confronting her heartbreak... It was really refreshing seeing her vulnerable & making mistakes!
Logan was great as always. Him becoming a groomzilla was very on brand. He's used to making statements with wealth and it was actually quite fun seeing his inner brat come out at times. But it was even better seeing how hopelessly devoted that boy is to Quinn. His whole life revolves around her, and although he momentarily got lost in the grandiosity of the day, it didn't take him long to snap back to his senses.
I adored the call-back to their prom love confession! Such a special moment and so sweetly acted by Matt & Erin.
As others have mentioned, I would've liked more development in relation to Quinn's feelings about the wedding. It seemed a little out of proportion to what we actually see. If we got more of an idea that she felt sidelined by Logan & that this had been building up for some time perhaps it would've worked better imo. Perhaps, the parents could've played a role in this, by projecting their ideas to what the wedding should be like as well.
But regardless, I enjoyed the film & I'm now genuinely hoping we do get a reboot series to flesh out these characters even more (Quogan domestic married life?? Yes, please!).

It’s a fun time for people who grew up alongside iCarly and Zoey 101. We get to see Creddie (!!!) and Quogan (!!!) evolve through interesting and mature stories.
If only the studios offered the actors and writers fair deals, they could keep making these swoon-worthy moments.
