Hey guys I have a question. What makes something a DeviantArt OC?

Someone called my sona a “DeviantArt oc” because they didn’t like that I, an artist, used a very very simplified and non-detailed sketch of my sona to represent myself when talking about my opinion on something (when I know they wouldn’t have cared if it was a video of someone expressing their opinion in a similar fashion).

This is my sona for reference.

I wasn’t insulted? More just really confused because from my perspective, this guy is just a distilled representation of my online persona.

He’s literally a Druid, who are shapeshifters and therefore don’t have to look human, who has been taken, like the taken from Destiny and Destiny 2 (and also my online name is Taken). But he also has me in him as well being that I am an Aries, my fursona is a ram, and I heavily connect with rams representing myself.

These are the Taken btw if you are unaware. I have connected with them ever since I first saw them, and they are the entire reason my online self is defined by “taken”.

Can someone give me a genuine explanation as to why they called my sona a “deviantart oc”? Or were they just saying it to have a jab at me because they didn’t like the design? I’m also autistic if anyone is wondering why I’m confused about it.

Finally posting my girl

So technically, her name comes from my friend’s little suggesting “Valentin” because her hair is red. But I discovered moments later that Valentin is the name of an architect. So she still has the same architect naming thing the other arrancars do.

She isn’t one of his fraccion since,, while Grimmjow absolutely wouldn’t be a protective dad, I doubt he would willingly let her be one of his fraccion. That said, the fraccion are basically her uncles. I think they would be really hesitant at first to warm up to her because they’re worried that Grimmjow has gone soft. But they do eventually warm up to her.

I really like the idea that she and Grimmjow have a really good relationship even if they aren’t especially close. They’re comfortable with one another.

Grimmjow is a panther hollow, so I can see his mentality in raising Valenteen being “I’m not going to protect her because if she can’t protect herself, then she wasn’t going to survive”. I imagine he’d be a very “you learn by tough experiences, not by coddling” dad. But this doesn’t mean he wouldn’t be concerned for her, obviously.

Also the “who raised you” comment is about her clothing showing skin (but specifically where it’s showing skin, that being her chest and hips), which is absolutely hypocritical of him. She’s a grown adult, he doesn’t actually care that much. He’s just being a dad teasing his daughter.

I don’t have a name for her yet, but I wanted to share my new arrancar OC. She makes questionable clothing decisions just like her dad.

She is a kitty cat, and is Grimmjow’s adoptive daughter.

She was not going to be Grimmjow’s daughter originally, but my friend and I were talking about our OCs and implied the hollow my OC would be friends with was a cat. And I took that and ran.

Bleach new OCs art dump!!

Bonus one of my friend's OC, who is Visored, talking to Ichigo during Ichigo's training about his grumpy husband, my OC:

Okay,,, family tree explanation! Almost no one is biologically related!!!!

Grumpy guy is Ryu Takazuki. Smiley guy with long hair who is his husband is Haruto Takahashi. Kaito is their oldest adoptive son. Goshiki is their younger adoptive son (and is my friend's OC, just like Haruto).

Benjiro is the biological son of Miriam Blumenthal (the brown haired woman next to Bazz), the younger adoptive sister of Ryu, and Bazz-B. Ryu used to be a human 1000 years ago who everyone thought was a quincy, but was killed in their family massacre and was the only one to go to the Soul Society.

I really try my best to make my OCs make some amount of sense within the canon story of any piece of media, even if I know they're not really possible. I could just say "fuck it" and do whatever I wanted, but I enjoy finding ways to make them slot in neatly. However... Miriam doesn't apply to that. She is the most "fuck it" character I have, meaning her existence within Bleach makes zero sense. And I don't care because I'm having fun!

Sakura ends up being Kaito's girlfriend, probably turned wife, who is in Squad 7, and is originally from the Rukongai. She is an absolute sweetheart, and relatively shy woman. She adores Komamura before and after it's revealed he's a wolf... but him being revealed to be a wolf just made her love him more.

I'm gonna go on a bit of a ramble about Ben so,, yeah, cutting this off here early

Ben, despite being the son of two white German people, has a Japanese name because he was born and raised in Karakura Town... he's an OC taking place in an AU that is canon for my OCs (they physically cannot make sense, so I might as well) where Bazz and Jugram are somehow revived, and end up living with Miriam in Karakura. How? No idea. Why? Because Miriam would not live to see Goshiki be adopted if they remained dead. So legally and socially, Ben's name is Benjiro. But his name is also Benjamin, although he mostly goes by Ben.

Benjiro technically isn't a new OC, but he's a new version of an OC I have attempted twice before. Also he's actually an IVF baby because Miriam is infertile,,, but I have no idea how those genetics work, so I didn't really care to attempt to make his design not a combo of Miriam and Bazz.

Kazui and Benjiro are about the same age??? They go to the same school, and I like to think they're best friends. Uryu is literally Ben's favourite uncle even if Uryu isn't even a part of the family. As well, Goshiki is friends with Ichika, and also Kazui as a result of Ichika being friends with Kazui... and because Goshiki is friends with Kazui, Kaito personally knows Ichigo... So there is no way in hell Ben and Kazui don't know each other in the slightest.

My best way to describe Ben's personality is that he's very Twilight Sparkle. Despite Bazz being his dad, Miriam and Jugram are also Ben's parents (because I love polyamory! Miriam and Jugram aren't together, but Bazz is in a relationship with both of them). Miriam is very straight forward and studious, and Jugram is... the way he is. Ben takes quite heavily after the both of them, not being too like Bazz in personality from a first glance.

Ben and Kazui are kind of just Uryu and Ichigo without actively butting heads or yelling at each other (which also works incredibly well without switching roles because Ben is a quincy, and Kazui is a soul reaper-quincy... hollow??? hybrid), but also with heavy Orihime influence on Kazui which is why there is minimal butting heads or yelling.

Ben and Ichika kind of get along, but they are Uryu and Ichigo in personality more than Ben and Kazui. They butt heads, they yell at each other, but they're still friends at the end of the day.

Also I have no idea if Bazz and Jugram would still have quincy powers after being reived but say they do?? Ben is developing his quincy powers sooo fast thanks to Jugram's ability to increase quincy powers and abilities. I doubt they would still have their schrifts. But idk, I need to fully read through CFYOW. Bambi is the exception, not the rule, until I get through the books.

Miriam's schrift allows her to create plants and flowers and vines, so you knooow Ben gains a mad interest in botany when he's little. Kids love what their parents do if they have a healthy relationship to their parents. I doubt it would really turn into anything, but I can see Ben learning a lot about different plants really young, and it just sticks with him as he gets older.

Miriam is my most favourite OC ever, and Bazz is my most favourite character ever, I am not surprised I went on a complete ramble about their kid that I made last week but barely talked about Kaito and Sakura.

Genuinely have no idea what possessed me to draw this other than the fact I’m rewatching the Bount arc for fun.

I can’t watch the arc like a normal person and be sane, I would actually go a bit insane, so I had to distract myself. Unfortunately, Jin Kariya seems to be fanart-shaped despite the fact I am not a fanartist. This is not the first time I have drawn him.

I was gonna be like "why are you downloading the episodes???" until I finished reading it T0T I have a friend who downloads EVERYTHING he pirates, instead of just streaming it on websites, and im like... why...?

I'm currently rewatching episodes of the bount arc (i have one of the episodes paused on my ipad as i write this lol) since I grew up watching it, and also it's just nice comfort content even if it's so incredibly shit. I have laughed and cringed at how bad this arc is now that I am 20 and not 7, but some episodes also just aren't terrible. Like,, there is a certain section of the bount arc that is actually pretty okay.

im also currently rewatching tybw but in dub, and as a dub watcher of anime?? IT'S SO BAD... Bleach's original dub is actually pretty okay, but the TYBW one is not good. that said, Quilge Opie is the best dubbed character in the history of anime. He went from being one of my most disliked characters to being one of my favourites PURELY because of his dub (he also shares his VA with bazz, who is my favourite character of all time in anything)

Where are my autistic bleach fans? Every other anime I'm into has an autistic community, a fandom if you will, WHERE IS BLEACH'S??? NARUTO HAS ONE FFS!!
