Mod question, you guys got any lgbt+ Headcanons for any Tales character for yourselves?

Dual Mod Response Time

Someday we’ll live in a world where it doesn’t matter who you are and who you love but until then… We’ll share some we’ve had at the risk of alienating all our followers :)

To be clear, these are headcanons. But the reasons we’ve decided to go ahead and post them is because

We do have a moderate presence in the Tales tumblr fandom and we want people to know they’re not alone in their headcanons. And even if it goes against canon a bit (or a lot) who cares, give yourself a little representation until the media catches up

We want you to send some of your headcanons in, dammit, and we hope this encourages you

We’re only human and we have opinions and these have nothing to do with “this game is better” or “this character is the worst”. We could hate a character and still imagine them as ace or something (but not because they’re ace)

We don’t like giving characters labels per se, but we understand sometimes it’s important to mark a character explicitly as LGBT+, because of a lack of representation as well as misrepresentation. So here we go, hold on to your butts

In general, we like to think of almost every single character as being demiromantic/panromantic and maybe pansexual because we both like to multiship. (Ace is a-ok too!) Mod A’s really big on consensual polyamory (don’t ask her about threesomes/moresomes, for the love of baby Jesus she’ll never shut up)

Rita’s gay though, just saying

Jude’s gay too. And no that doesn’t stop him from being in love with Milla

Mod 1 suggested genderfluid Karol and Mod A is 👌👌👌👌👌

Someone floated the idea of trans Cheria and trans Richard around and Mod A is all over that shit

Also Mod 1 believes he’s gay

Tear loves Legretta. Legretta tentatively loves her back, but she feels guilty because a) she tried to kill Tear’s brother Van before, b) Tear is her student so yeah, and c) she doesn’t want to hurt Tear more than she has because if they had a thing going and Tear has aligned herself against the God-Generals… heartbreak all around :)

How about trans Ludger, sure his brother has the money for A+++ medical support but he’s doubly afraid for him, others’ reactions if Ludger steps out in the real world so that’s part of the reason he kept him at home. Nice going, Ludger’s brother

How about ace Colette, not that she eschews physical contact entirely but sex can be replaced by literally any other activity. Like fishing, or tag

Elize only loves girls (but she’s still flattered when guys compliment her because hey who doesn’t like being complimented. Unless it’s from Alvin. Kidding, kidding)trans Marta

Also Hubert has a big fat crush on Malik like he genuinely wants to kiss his unshaved face

Still pissed about Shirley/Fenimore getting clamjammed by Bamco

Yes there are m/f couples who got married, or womanizer characters who well, like women (e.g. Zelos, Guy sort of) but we like to think they’ll be romantically involved with someone they really like, regardless of gender/sex

Mod A always thought that even though they’d never actually start a relationship, Wingul and Gaius love each other, but duty and stuff sigh (Goddammit why must characterization get in my way when I’m trying to just picture couples screaming together on Space Mountain)

Haven’t played Zestiria but we both have the impression that Mikleo and Sorey are soulmates, there have been a lot of comments about it being canon and this list is headcanons but a gay couple has never been so prominent iwrc and their relationship still looks interesting so

Oh, forgot to mention, Mod 1 had the impression that Beryl and Ines were sort of married, y’know? Beryl’s just really gay too, loves Kohak a loooot

Okay! That’s all the specific ones we’ve got, but the first bullet point pretty much covers a great majority of it. 

If any of these specific ideas are problematic let us know so we can fix our shitty, problematic ways of thinking (you may have to explain because we’re stupid ignorant fucks)
