Don’t Compare, Be Grateful! Comparison is the thief of peace. When we constantly compare ourselves with those in a better position, we invite unnecessary stress and dissatisfaction into our lives. Instead, our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ gave us a golden principle to attain contentment:
انظروا إلى من أسفل منكم ولا تنظروا إلى من هو فوقكم فهو أجدر أن لا تزدروا نعمة الله عليكم
(رواه مسلم 2963)
"Look at those who are below you and do not look at those who are above you, for that is more suitable so that you do not belittle the blessings of Allah upon you." (Muslim 2963)
When we shift our focus to those who have less, gratitude fills our hearts, and we recognize the countless blessings Allah ﷻ has already bestowed upon us. Let’s practice gratitude and stop unhealthy comparisons!

The image contains a Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ that says:
مَن لا يَرحَم لا يُرحَم
Translation: "He who does not show mercy will not be shown mercy."
According to the Salaf (early righteous predecessors), this Hadith emphasizes the importance of compassion and mercy in Islam. The Salaf, including the Companions of the Prophet and their successors, viewed mercy as a fundamental trait of a believer. They understood that showing mercy to others, whether it be towards humans, animals, or any of Allah's creation, is a path to receiving mercy from Allah.
The Salaf often stressed that one's relationship with Allah reflects in their behavior towards others. If a person desires Allah’s mercy, they must extend mercy to others. This could be through acts of kindness, assistance to those in need, and forgiving those who wronged them. The early scholars taught that mercy should be a natural characteristic of a believer, not just in extraordinary situations, but as a part of daily conduct.
Key lessons according to the understanding of the Salaf:
1. Showing mercy is a sign of Iman (faith): It is a quality that differentiates the true believer, and it is essential for attaining Allah's mercy.
2. A means to Allah's forgiveness: Mercy toward others is one way to attain forgiveness and blessings from Allah, as He loves those who are merciful.
3. Acts of mercy extend to all: Mercy should be shown to everyone, not just fellow Muslims but all of Allah’s creation, as reflected in the teachings of the Salaf.
4. In daily life: The Salaf emphasized practical demonstrations of mercy, such as helping the weak, forgiving others, and being patient with people’s shortcomings.

Nifaq (Hypocrisy):Quran: "The hypocrites will be in the lowest depths of the Fire, and never will you find for them a helper." (Surah An-Nisa, 4:145)
Sunnah: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "The signs of a hypocrite are three: When he speaks, he lies; when he promises, he breaks his promise; and when he is trusted, he betrays." (Bukhari and Muslim)
Salaf Commentary: Hasan al-Basri (may Allah have mercy on him) said, "Hypocrisy is to show outward piety while concealing inner disbelief and evil intentions."

Writing "Teacher's Day" on Facebook or other social media platforms does not repay the debt we owe to our teachers. However, the respect and admiration that we hold for them in our hearts should always remain alive, no matter where we are in life. It is essential to maintain this reverence for our teachers, even if they are unable to impart Islamic teachings, for they profoundly shape our minds and futures in worldly terms. Their hard work and dedication have enabled us to succeed in various fields of life, and without their guidance, we might not be who we are today. Therefore, we should appreciate our teachers not only on "Teacher's Day" but every day, remembering and valuing their contributions.

"Old is gold" is a phrase we hear often, but it doesn’t always ring true. While old age might not be easy, some elders find strength in their faith, outshining the youth. However, our ancestors, despite their best efforts, sometimes failed to teach us what truly matters, leaving us unprepared. We tend to assume that age brings wisdom, but this isn’t always the case. In today’s world, the younger generation often holds more knowledge, especially in Islamic matters, yet they’re met with resistance from elders who refuse to acknowledge these changes, sometimes even resorting to public reprimands. This generational divide could be bridged with more compassion from elders.

If politicians read this hadith with their conscience, then maybe they would quit for a lifetime:
The signs of a hypocrite are three: Whenever he speaks, he tells a lie; and whenever he promises, he breaks his promise; and whenever he is entrusted, he betrays (proves to be dishonest).
[Bukhari]

Politics is the arena where deception is not just tolerated but celebrated, where those who can lie convincingly are hailed as master strategists, and where the lines between integrity and manipulation blur until they are almost indistinguishable.

✒ How To Repel Desire
Prophet Muḥammad Ṣallallāhu-ʿAlaihi Wa Sallam said:
إذا أحدكم أعجبته المرأة فوقعت في قلبه فليعمد إلى امرأته فليواقعها فإن ذلك يرد ما في نفسه
“If one of you is fascinated by a woman and she captivates his heart then let him go to his wife and have intercourse with her, for indeed that will repel what (he feels) in his soul.”
Imām an-Nawawī Raḥimahullāh said in its Sharḥ:
“And the meaning of this Ḥadeeth is that it’s recommended for the one who looks at a woman and his desire is stoked; to go to his wife or his concubine if he has one; and have sexual intercourse with her to get rid of his desire, and to calm himself, and to bring his heart (to rest) of what concerns it.”

O Helper of those who seek help, help the people of Gaza for the people of the earth have abandoned them and they have no refuge except with You.
So relieve them and grant them victory and keep them firm, O Powerful, O Allāh.
O Allāh, be with the people of Gaza, decree for them a great reward and a beautiful compensation.

Through the use of social media, the sweetness of pleasures has been ruined, and the consolation of sorrows has been obscured.
This has resulted in individuals dressing up in phony clothes and diverting their attention away from the spontaneity of their acts and toward the affectation of their feelings.
A person whose nature has been changed and whose spontaneity has been taken away is going to have a life that is filled with terrible misery.
