I've finally gotten around to listening to The Crane Wives (amazing btw) and it's wild how well the song Scars fits Kaladin from Stormlight

Please, someone who knows about both of those things, notice or care about this

It doesn't suit him all the time but I'd say Rhythm of War era or like early Way of Kings the first half of the song is spot on

Like what? There's a line about a storm and a line about a bridge? I need someone to make this animatic or something because I personally think it fits really really well

Rereading my old notes for Dead Boy Detectives and it's really funny how much I hated the Cat King

I've gained an appreciation for him now, he's not my favorite character but I can understand that from an objective standpoint he's pretty fabulous

But like, Past Me was really just hating on everyone except Charles and Niko

And then Charles did something I didn't like and I was like NO YOU BETRAYED ME

Niko has never done anything I didn't like as far as I remember

I like how from the outside, Charles and Edwin are unambiguously equal partners in the Agency, but if you dig into their psyches pretty much at all, you realize that there's a distinct possibility Charles thinks of himself as the Watson to Edwin's Holmes, the friend and follower of the brilliant detective, the guy who brings along a handy weapon - and meanwhile Edwin thinks of himself as the Merlin to Charles's Arthur, advisor and magician of the bravest and noblest of heroes.

I've recently figured out a problem--there seems to be this trope in media where two guys and a girl are all hanging out, and one of the guys and the girl have a canon romantic relationship, but almost the entire fandom ships the two guys instead. And I don't have a problem with that! I love gay people! I am gay people! The problem happens when people start hating on the girl. Like, here's a deeply amazing cool badass beautiful woman, and . . . you hate her? Because she gets in the way of your ship? What?? But she's perfect!! I've seen this happen in at least three shows! (Arcane, Dead Boy Detectives, and Loki, if you're curious.) It really bugs me, because like, not only are you hating someone who objectively did nothing wrong, but I've also noticed that in two of these examples, the girl is Black and the guys are white, and there's a misogyny angle as well, like, putting down a woman in favor of men, and the men are gay (although often not confirmed), but they're still men. I think I'm just too bisexual for shipping wars ngl. Basically all this to say, if you want to fight Mel or Crystal or Sylvie for the sole reason of "But my ship!", then you're gonna have to go through me. It's my ship too, actually! But I love these women and it's not fair to hate them for the way their relationships were written.

Hello, I don't know how to use this website yet but I heard that it's good for talking about fandoms and I have a lot of fandoms to talk about

I just finished watching Loki and I want to talk about that, plus I'm relistening to Welcome to Night Vale
