Kiss of Death Beta Chapter 3 Now Available!

Short Synopsis: Kiss of Death is a romantic fantasy following Saliya, a young woman who suddenly finds herself on a pirate ship with a mysterious book she's tasked to protect. The biggest problem? The pirates would love nothing more than for her to go away.

This chapter introduces the 2nd POV character, Lukas! I hope y'all love him as much as I do.

Just saw a post saying “minors shouldn’t identify as aro/ace” and I wanted to say… fuck you.

No look, okay I get why some people don’t want minors in certain spaces, and that’s fine. DNI minors then, if you want to.

But you can identify as anything at anytime in your life. It doesn’t hurt anyone to identify as one thing and then realise you’re another. It’s growth. Your identity will change as you age. It’s normal. And if it doesn’t? That’s also normal.

Also, from 13-18 (minors in most countries) is the most complexly romantic and sexual time. Obviously I’m not going into detail as again MINORS. But teenagers undergo the most change is hormones, emotional growth, romantic and sexual interest then any other age.

In my opinion, teenage years is when you’re MOST LIKELY to figure out you’re aro/ace. It’s the MOST LIKELY time to question your identity in general. Obviously, again, no age limit, but it’s the most common time for self discovery.

It’s called a “coming of age” story for a reason.

Whatever you’ve managed to do today was enough, even if it wasn’t a lot, even if you couldn’t do anything special. And even if you couldn’t get out of bed today, you are alive, and that counts. It is enough to exist. You don’t have to push yourself beyond your breaking point. I hope you’re able to be proud of yourself regardless of how useful you feel, and if you’re still trying to learn that you’re more than what you can do, then know you’re not alone, I’m still trying to learn that too.

Having to break up with Harry Potter is not as hard as you think. I did it years ago. She made her first comment and I was dismayed but thought she was a confused boomer... then she doubled down and I was done. Jo has been clawing and scratching to stay relevant since the last HP movie came out so I am in no way surprised she realized this was her golden ticket to keeping her name in the headlines.

Some may say I mustn't have been a true Potterhead... you can believe what you want but I have the receipts in purged merch, midnight showing tickets & an unhealthy love for Ronald Bilius Weasley. You can make up any excuse you'd like for still engaging with the material, but it is not worth people's lives. And that is what is on the line with every dollar you give her and every time you engage with her content.

She has announced that the money she makes from the upcoming HBO series will be funneled directly into an anti-trans organization she founded. You will be funding her bile and hate and rhetoric towards other human beings.

This Pride Month, if you'd like to show the world that you are an LGBTQ+ Ally... break up with Harry Potter.

Saliya has the tendency to.... short-out, in a manner of speaking. If left to her own devices she will get stuck within her own thoughts and look like she's staring. It takes a bit of coaxing to get her out of this state.

Lukas, on the other hand, will throw up an air of boredom when he doesn't want anyone to know what he's thinking. Only a small part of him (a lot larger than he lets on) actually cares about how others view him as childish because of it.
