I Done Lost My Online Business Building Mind

    Have you heard the news? It’s absolutely true! I’ve lost my, Online Business Building, Mind! I “done”  gone mad crazy because a sane mind can’t get me where I need to go. Where I need to go is absolutely impossible for someone like me.

If I tried to do what I need to do in my right mind then

I’d have to be polite

I’d have to ask for permission

I’d have to remember my manners

I’d  have to be careful what I said to prevent stepping on too many toes

I’d have to worry about what religious folks were going to say

I’d have to not look too desperate

I’d have to speak proper grammar

I’d have to write a proper sales letter

I’d have to remember what the guru’s said to do

I’d have to be careful not to step over the line

I’d have to forget my why

I’d have to forget what is waiting for me if I go back

I’d have to accept mediocracy

I’d have to live someone else’s script for me

I’d have to let someone else choose my day, pick my experiences, and decide how I live my life

I’d have to leave the fate of my children in the hands of system that wants to destroy them

  Truthfully, I can’t keep my dignity and reach the top of the mountain. I can’t fight bears in my high heel shoes. I can’t tame lions in an evening gown. I can’t smell good and do a dirty job.

Believe me when I tell you that changing my life is a dirty job because I was groomed for failure. I grew up without a mom or a dad; I was thrown into the foster care system;  I survived mental, physical, and sexual abuse. I was a teen mom and a high school dropout. I defied all odds of becoming a successful person. Yet, in-spite of it all that I still wanted to be great. I chose to pattern my life after a success I’d never seen. I decided not to leave the same legacy for my children that was left for me. I wanted something that statistics said I could never have . . .

That’s why I went back to school, that’s why chose to build my own business, that’s why I choose to fight and not give up when faced with intense obstacles.

But honestly, I couldn’t pursue my goals with internal baggage. I had to let go of my old mindset, my old way of thinking, and my old way of viewing the world. I had to admit that some of my thoughts had been shaped by dysfunctional people and situations. Don’t get me wrong, I held on to those ideas that were wholesome and good, but I had to release those concepts that forced me to live in a box. I had to let go of those fears that held me back from being who I needed to be in order to get the life I truly wanted for me and my family. Les Brown said, “your best thinking has gotten you exactly where you are today.” In reality, if you want a different existence, you need to hear some different ideas about life.

There’s a parable in the Bible that says, “why to put new wine into old wine skins because it will burst out and leak onto the ground.” We see evidence of this concept with some lotto winners. Many of them win a ton of money but find themselves broke and in a worse financial situation than they were before they won the money. That’s because their bank accounts changed, but their mindsets remained the same. If you want to change your life then you must change your mind. In other words, your mentality is your reality. Yet, changing your mindset can be the most difficult thing you’ve ever done.For instance, I had to reverse over 30 years of stinking thinking, and it’s still not a finished job. I’ve discovered that developing a new mindset requires honesty about where you are and where you want to be. It is a very authentic, transparent, and clarifying process. It can be really messy, raw, and uncomfortable.Imagine being pruned like a plant. Honestly, in order for you to grow, the weeds will have to go.  However, if you choose to develop the mentality that you need to become a new person,  it will be worth it, because somewhere in the process you’ll become the person you need to be for the life and experiences you truly want.

The Break Down Of A Gigantic Online Business Empire

I was totally shocked to discover the demise of The Gigantic Online Business Empire Empower Network. I’m sure there are tons of people out there who are devastated because Empower Network was the go to network marketing business for so many people. Tons of investments had been made and a lot of people had high hopes and big dreams as to what this industry leader could provide.

I’m sure disappointments are high and many people are pointing the finger at the company for setting their expectations high and then dropping, them to the lowest points of their lives. The scriptures reveal that “hope deferred makes the heart sick.” Yet, online entrepreneurship can cause deferred hope more often than many of us would like to admit.

I for one invested thousands into the company, but I feel as if I got millions in return. Well, how could I say that? David Wood let us all down right? Wrong? Too many people depend on others for the manifestation of making their own dreams come true. Let me explain . . .

When I first joined Empower Network I was sucked into the bright and shiny wonder of possibility. It was the first time that I found an actual pathway to being a 7-figure earner.

    Take-Away-The -Good- Keep-It -Moving

Call it greed, but in all honesty, we’re here to provide value in exchange for monetary resources right? In that sense, David Wood built an incredible funnel for profits. As a previous customer, I can say I learned a lot from Empower Network. I discovered some of the greatest leaders in the industry there such as Nicole S. Cooper, Tracy Walker, Lawrence Tann and many others, not excluding David Wood. Yet, I learned early on that I wasn’t going to put the responsibility for my success into their hands solely. I started paying more attention to what they did versus what they said.

It “aint” been no bed of roses, but I discovered that where I’ve been is far scarier than where I’m going. I’ve set a torch to every ship back to land, so it’s sink or swim. Even though I’ve shed many tears in the process, I choose to swim.

Your email list is your prime real estate for online profits. It’s more important than any upfront sale you could ever make.     I once signed up for a list of popular entrepreneur groups to join for business collaboration and a little eBook on how to use Pinterest to drive tons of traffic to my online offers. Your bonus material can be as complex or as simple as you’d like it to be.

However, you should consider the type of client you’re trying to land. If you’re trying to land a high-end client for a pretty expensive product, then you’d want to ensure that your bonus content is upscaled in value to reveal that your actual services are worth the Big price tag. For high-end clients, you’d probably want to do the free mini course, or the boot camp, or the webinar.

Yet, if you have a low-cost start-up product, then you can aim for simple list builders such as mind maps, a list of something niche related, an audio, or ext. So keep that in mind when creating your list builders free content.

Subscriptions allow you to create a stronger connection with your loyal readers. Let’s say you build a Facebook group of 6oo,000 people, but you do something that Facebook doesn’t like, and they shut you down, well in one moment, you’ve lost all your contacts. I’ve seen it happen to a really good friend who was generating over a million dollars a year from her Facebook group. I don’t know what she did that violated the policy there, but in one instant her group was deleted. I’ll never forget the devastation and tears because she had worked very hard to build that group. However, she was a smart marketer and had a massive list, but her primary focus had been her group. She talked about how she was going to focus more on her list after the issues surrounding her group left her income at risk.

Lately, I’ve decided to build up my social media platforms; I have a long way to go because it just hasn’t been my focus, but I’ve escaped corporate America for over 5 years through people finding my articles from searching the internet on the topic I blog about.Once they find me on the web, they subscribe to my email list for free offers. I simply build relationships with them by sending them automatic messages. Now that’s a process that many people can’t see happening, but it’s my primary focus, and it should be yours too. Remember, your list is your real-estate!

    What You Need To Do

Start a blog about a specific topic (search engines will index your blog on that top so that when people surf the web about it, they find your content on it.)

Create a free offer related to the topic of your blog that visitors would want to exchange their email to receive  (be sure to research the primary areas of pain that your audience is experiencing. Offer them bonus content that provides some relief from that pain in exchange for their email. For instance, if your blog is about getting traffic and your audience experiences the pain of not having enough traffic, then give them 10 ways to get more traffic using Instagram ext. There are still tons of people that haven’t made the mobile transition, so Instagram tips would be a hot commodity)

Build a relationship with your subscribers through auto-responders ( you want to send your subscribers automatic messages that provide more value on the topic at hand. This is when you’d upsell them on products and services that can provide more solutions to the problems they were experiences in the first place).

In reality, blogging can be fun which motivates you to keep doing it. However, after some time has passed and you haven’t seen a profit from all of your hard work, it can be difficult to continue doing it. After all, “fun” doesn’t pay the bills, but profits do.

Yee! So let’s put your blog on the path needed to reach your blogging goals. Regardless of your, freedom blog, desires you can reach them. Here are 4 things I think you need to succeed!

A clear reason WHY you want a successful freedom blog: I want a freedom blog, because I hate choosing between work and family. I don’t want to be that single mom, statistic, who can’t survive without a husband or lives off welfare. I want my one underage son to have opportunities beyond what an average income can provide, and I’d love to provide assistance to my 2 adult sons if they need it. What’s your WHY? Here’s the deal, you might run out the gate a winner or you might have to train a bit but when you have a reason why you’re doing what you’re doing, you’ll persevere until you reach your goals because you know WHY you need to reach them.

A clear Niche or focus that you’ll be specializing in:  Have you ever heard the saying “jack of all trades but master of none?” If you’re trying to build a successful and profitable blog, you need to specialize in something. What are you good at? What do you love? Find something that you know a lot about or wouldn’t mind spending a ton of time learning more. Here’s the deal, you and your niche are going to be best buddies. You will go to sleep with it and wake up with it. You will blog about it, make videos about it, talk to others about it. Make sure you don’t easily grow tired of “IT,”  whatever “IT” is. Make sure it’s something that you would enjoy creating a ton of content about.  You don’t need to know everything about it to start earning money blogging about it.     A clear blog Strategy for your outcome profit goals: I wish I’d known this before I started my very first blog. I spent a lot of time roaming around in the dark trying to figure out how to profit from my blog. However, it wasn’t until I discovered the importance of a blog strategy that I began to earn real money from my blogging efforts.  What is your blog about; who is your target audience; what problems will you solve on your blog; what free offers will you use to generate leads; how will you upsell your leads and turn them into customers; how much income do you want your blog to generate each month? Does your blog’s content, free offers, upsells, and products create a seamless flow for converting leads to sales?? These are the things that many bloggers never learn so they give up thinking they’ve failed and weren’t good enough or smart enough to turn a blog into an income stream. Yet in reality, they just weren’t given the right tools to take the right actions to get the right results. I was there, literally, “Ignorance on fire” I had the work ethic, but I was doing the wrong things, so I didn’t get the results, but I never gave up, and finally, I found out what really works. I’m telling you that strategy works! It’s doing the same income producing activities over and over again that makes the money. It’s leaving the armature moves behind because we all know you need a domain name; we all know you need a blogging platform; we all know those same regurgitated steps that are all over the internet as to what it takes to get your blog setup. Yet, what is missing is the “how to” earn money from your blog. The strategic process to blog profits. It’s more than launching a new blog every week that has no aim or strategy, but it’s knowing what you want your blog to do.

  A desire to serve your audience and provide them value in your area of expertise: To paraphrase what John F. Kennedy said, “don’t ask what the people can do for you, but ask what you can do for the people.” I’m not telling you that to slap you in the face if you’ve only been focused on what you can get out of your blog versus what your blog can give to others, but I’m telling you that because ” a man who provides enough what others need will eventually get what he needs.” Sadly, many systems teach you to manipulate people into buying your products and services so that they can increase their overall bottom line. I’ve  personally learned hardcore marketing which is “don’t take no for an answer; close the sale. To this day, I still teach sales psychology, but not to manipulate people but to help them discover that I have some solutions that may end some pain in their lives. Sometimes people can’t see that you have the solutions they’ve been looking for, and they may feel as if you’re just like all the others who have manipulated and abused them without helping them get closer to their goals.  Yet, I promise you, if you’d spend less time explaining the features of your products and services and more time serving others with the benefits of what you’re offering, they will realize that you are truly the solution to the problems they’ve been experiencing, and they’ll want to work with you. That’s one reason why I make it so inexpensive for people to JOIN ME because I know that it’s hard to invest in someone you hardly know and business is a relationship that has to be built over time.  How can you serve your audience; how can you show them the benefits of your services through actions or content rather than merely words, how can you position your blog to solve problems and help others get what they want to so you can get what you want? How can you use your specialized knowledge to bring freedom to others so that you can become?

Have You Ever [Cried Silently] In Your Online Business Building Process?

I’ve been an entrepreneur for several years now and through hard work and dedication, I’ve escaped corporate America for over 5 of them. Yet, many people write about the great aspects of being an entrepreneur. They paint this little white lie that success in this field is easy. Yet, I’m here to dispell that misconception and reveal that it “aint” so. There is nothing easy about going against the grain. There isn’t anything easy about working against an internal system that’s programmed for average. There’s nothing easy about emerging from generations of poverty, oppression, and mediocracy into a prosperous, free, and fruitful life. There is nothing easy about feeling misunderstood by 98% of the population. There is nothing easy about being laughed at, talked about, and shunned by those who think you’re crazy for even trying to change what always has been.

The Tears. . .

        No one knows how much tenacity it takes to keep your head up. .no one see’s the silent tears. Honestly, many entrepreneurs cry silently because they know that, nearly, 98% of society will aid them in their pity party.  They know they will be received with open arms right back into the pasture of cows before being taken to the slaughter house of mediocracy. They know they will be encouraged to give up the fight for change and encouraged to stay the same. They cry silently because of “the story” which is the driving force behind the fight . . .

 The Story

I was born to a mother with a mental disability. I spent most of my young life in the foster care system.  At a very young age, I experienced extreme abuse and ended up a very broken person for most of my young existence. I spent most of my youth with my clothes in a bag, ready to move to a new home at the drop of a dime. When I was only 15 I struck out on my own and by the age of 16, I was already pregnant.  Never experiencing, real, stability myself I brought a child into an unstable situation.

  I didn’t have any self-esteem and honestly, I felt like “what’s the use; my life is ruined, so I might as well give-up.” What a stinking mentality right? I was a high school dropout and a person in the world without guidance. Now that wasn’t entirely true; I’m sure guidance was available, but at the time I couldn’t see it. By the time I was 19 I was a single mother of 2 with no real plan in place to better my life.

Later, I was reunited with my sister who had come to visit me from college. She was shocked to discover that I hadn’t graduated high school and that I didn’t even have a plan to do any better in my life. She told me that I needed to go back to school and get myself together. I told her that trying to fix my life was pointless and deep down inside I didn’t even know why I was here. Eventually, her words took a hold of me, and I took the High School Equivalency Test. I can’t describe how I felt when I discovered I’d passed. Soon a whole different world of opportunities opened up for me. I became a certified law enforcement officer and found a job paying double what I was earning. The shifts were long but for the first time in my life, I didn’t have to worry about how I was going to pay the rent. I enrolled in college and graduated from a program there.

Yet, the whole while I was losing a grip on my home. I worked all night and went to school all day. I spent the entire time my children were growing up trying to figure out my life and trying to survive. I never considered that they might have wanted to play sports, or go on a vacation, or have an experience that didn’t include 1 small town and 4 walls. My only focus was a roof, utilities, and food on the table. Finally, I met a man that said he could help me and make my life better. . ..

Well, you know how that goes. I ended up divorced with another mouth to feed. Now I wasn’t single parenting 2 children but 3. So much pain, so much disappointment, so much devastation you’d think the happy ending was near…. My money didn’t stretch as far as it did before the divorce and 3rd child. Honestly, half the time we didn’t even have food. I felt like I was trapped in a life that was just happening, and I showed up sometimes to make sure the same cycles continued without ceasing. I was so broken, so devastated, so hurt, and so disappointed. I knew that no matter how hard I worked on my job, my paycheck wasn’t going to change. I knew that meant that the experiences I could afford weren’t going to change much either.

The Day Enough Was Enough

One day I was stuck at home with no gas in my car, and I had a very bad headache, but I didn’t even have $2 for a Tylenol. I had to endure the pain that no one should endure in the 21st century because I didn’t have any money. I was just tired of “the lack of money” having so much control over my life experience. I was sick of my bank account controlling what I did, where I went, and how I lived. Therefore, I prayed. I asked God to please show me how to make money and a lot of it. I didn’t want money to prove anything to anyone; I wanted money to buy the freedom to have the experience I wanted for myself and my family. I wanted money so that I could change the vicious cycle of poverty and broken dreams in my family. I wanted a different reality for my children.

  When It Doesn’t Happen Fast Enough

Sometimes we tend to think that because we are who are and because we have gone through what we’ve gone through there’s some pass to skipping the process to success. Your 6-7 figure business isn’t going to say, “I’m so sorry that you’ve been abused, and I’m sorry that you don’t believe in yourself because of your past, so I’m just going to build myself and automate your paychecks to your account.” Because of all you’ve gone through, you deserve a free pass. News Flash; it doesn’t happen that way! I don’t know what your story is but I do know that it’s easy to feel like this world owes you something. Yet, the reality is it doesn’t. “If you want something bad enough, you’re going to have to take it.”  There will be no room for an excuse… .the excuses can’t make it past failure to see success. You can choose to sit around and feel sorry for yourself or you can choose silent tears that reveal I’m going to cry in motion.  “I’m going to cry to keep going, not to give up.” I’m going to run after my destiny, and I’m not going to stop until my number is up.” When life shows up and tries to take you out during your process you’re going use those hardships as leverage to spring forward into greatness.

    Growth Hurts

There are pains in a pregnancy because of the more the organs and skin stretch, in order for growth to occur, the more discomforts show up. The most uncomfortable moment for me was realizing that I had to be me. I realized that I had to stop reciting sales pitches and tell my own story. I had to stop trying to have the perfect backdrop and drop valuable information on a consistent basis. I had to stop trying to position the camera so I’d look skinny and acknowledge that I’ve gained quite a bit of weight in the process of building this business but it’s who I am today. I had to stop acting like everything is all hunky dory to reveal that I’m building my business in the midst of some crazy circumstance but that’s what it is going to take to get it done.  I had to rid myself of any fake, superficial, and marketing techniques and recognize that I am unique and guess what. .Unique is the only thing that stands out in all the noise bombarding the internet today. I had to lose my mind so that I could find it. I had to decide that come hell or high water, I didn’t come this far to turn around. I had to decide that failure wasn’t an option for me and neither was retreating. I had to choose to press forward just as I am and allow the chips to fall where they may. I knew that sowing would eventually lead to reaping but tilling the ground wasn’t going to be easy.

    Silent tears are the best kind because they are not for show but for growth. They are the tears that pass over your why and keep you up late into the night. They are tears that remind you that it’s hard to change but even harder to stay the same. They are the tears that say failure isn’t an option for me because where I came from is far worse than what I’ve got to endure to get where I want to be. If you so happen to shed a silent tear don’t let it fall upon defeat but rather let it land where you want to be. . .
