A few nights ago, as I was lying in bed, feeling inexplicably anxious, trying to calm down so I could get to sleep, the chorus of this song popped into my head:

A few nights ago, as I was lying in bed, feeling inexplicably anxious, trying to calm down so I could get to sleep, the chorus of this song popped into my head:

Normally, I wouldn't have thought much of it.  But lately I've been thinking more about spiritual matters and about deepening my relationships with the deities I feel drawn to.

One of those deities is Manannan mac Lir, and I felt deep in my heart, with a sort of certainty I've never known before, that those words I'd heard a hundred times before were a message from him.

I am here.  Remember me.

So after years of trying but never quite fully connecting with Wicca, and further years of trying but never quite being content with following no one path in particular, I feel like I’m finally onto something.  And I must extend my thanks to the Pagan Tumblr community.  I’d never heard of Celtic Reconstructionism before I came here, and now that I’ve taken a closer look at it, I feel I may finally have found my path.  So thanks for that.

The Great Pumpkin House

Every halloween season, the house at 748 Beech Street in Kenova, West Virginia is transformed into the Great Pumpkin House. The owner, Ric Griffith and hundreds of other volunteers carve thousands of pumpkins for display at his home every halloween.
