Let’s play a game. React to this post and I will go down your blog and reblog some of your art. You can just give a hearth or reblog this post so more people can see it. I’m really interested on reblogging art from my mutuals and their mutuals today. I’ll be back to check on this in a couple of hours.

I designed a little blue plush cat plushie. These are the only pictures I have, taken by a friend, as I gave it to them soon after I made it. I still have the design and I’ll add pictures of the dog variant design as soon as I get my hands on enough filler to stuff it. I made it with the really nice downy stuffing, and everyone who got their hands on it, according to my friend, stuffed their face into its belly to relish in how soft it was. Overall, a success.

Fox design in progress! An original plush pattern I’m making of a cute little fox! Starting out small scale with scrap materials to test out the template and made adjustments, this is the second round. I’ll scale up the pattern when I finish on the small scale, because the smaller ones take less time and waste the least amount of material.

Handstitched spider. Used the template from SewDesuNe to make it, but the color and fabric choices were mine, along with the hand-embroidery of the stars on the navy underbelly, and the galaxy applique on the thorax was made from scratch. I also gave it a pocket to hold thread I can spool out from. I call her Celeste. I made her while teaching someone how to make plushies.

One of my favorite works, made 2 years ago. A digital illustration following a Halloween theme, featuring the characters a peer of mine made. This was an intensive work that took several hours to shade.

Illustration I did as part of CG graphics for a procedural story I’m making with some peers of mine. It’s a story that involves my main character, Mainframe. I wanted to hone in on her emotional turmoil to better immerse others in the story.

An early animation I did of a friend’s character. I went with a monochrome theme and a lineless design. My emphasis was on creating proper smoke effects.

These are prints I made. A friend of mine had been a long-term fan of the Kirby game series by Nintendo, so I made this as part of a lesson plan I developed for a classroom setting. These were prototypes of a low-cost technique I developed to allow students to be able to dabble in printmaking techniques with just foam, cardboard, paint, and construction paper. It boiled down to making a stamp and covering it in paint. The challenge here was developing an accessible art technique, play of positive and negative space, and keeping the lines of action clear and crisp enough to convey the right movement.

A traditional artbook made with pop-up techniques. The inspiration for this was one of the classic stories I’d grown up with, Goodnight Moon, so I intended to bring aspects of the story our into the third dimension.

A digital painting featuring a moth character a friend devised. The soft morning shading was inspired from an autumnal themed challenge. Nothing quite like a warm drink in the crisp morning air in the fall.
