And Feanor's grandson, grandson of he who's rage and pride drove him to the brink of total obsession, at the cost of the lives of others-- is the one who ends up striving to heal through creation. Challenging and overcoming corruption in hope for a better future, and eventually, dies for it.
I love it when characters have such different shapes than the shadows that they bear.
What a bitter irony that Fingolfin's grandson is the one who ends up betraying his people by aiding Morgoth.
The grandson of he who challenged Morgoth directly, and wounded him.
Whan a heavy burden for Maeglin, this legacy.
