Facial Cleansing Bars
We recommend to lather and wash your face once in the morning & twice at night. Always use a nice serum or cream or lotion to rehydrate after. Our Argan oil facial serum is a great option to use immediately after cleansing, both morning and night.
Additionally, apply a face cream and then SPF before venturing out for the day to protect your skin. Oils infused with dried calendula petals provide a nourishing, soothing ingredient for our Facial Cleansing Bars. There are lots of other skin-loving elements involved here - Baraka (fair-trade & organic!) Shea Butter, creamy coconut milk, and calming lavender essential oil. The soaps have a dash of dried calendula sprinkled on top for garnish.
Available as a subscription to be automatically shipped every 2 months here.
Available at a discount with the facial serum here.
Neapolitan Bar - If you’ve enjoyed our Argan Oil Bars in the past, this is a similar formula, but has a layer of Dead Sea Mud to cleanse away the impurities of the day/month/year.
Neapolitan Bar Ingredients: Calendula infused Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Apricot Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Coconut Milk, Water, Argan Oil, Shea Butter, Mango Seed Butter, French Pink Clay, Dead Sea Clay, Lavender & Tea Tree Essential Oils
Clay Bar - This facial Bar Soap is a twist on the Argan Oil Facial Bar Soap, infused with coffee and swirled with an array of clays to give the skin a nice detox. A hint of lavender should help to soothe the skin and provide a calming effect for both body and mind.
Clay Bar Ingredients: Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Coffee, Calendula infused Apricot Seed Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Coconut Milk, Moringa Oil, Soy Butter, Argan Oil, Kaolin Clay, French Pink Clay, Rhassoul Clay, Activated Charcoal, Lavender Essential Oil

Piney Woods Soap
I grew up in the Piney Woods of Southeast Texas, and now I live in pine and cedar and walnut woods of Southern Pennsylvania. I like trees, what can I say. I also love a good bonfire.
This rustic soap is like bathing in the secluded outdoors surrounded by pine trees and a warm fire, with a glass of scotch nearby. Also reminiscent of baseball, if you've ever added pine tar resin to your baseball bat.
Pine tar has been used for centuries as a wood preservative in the shipping industry to protect their boats, to weatherproof rope, for horse hoof care treatment, for coating baseball bats, and in soaps.
It's amazing how varied its uses are. This is a simple, natural formula, with no added fragrances or chemicals to alter the smell, because it is fantastic as it is.
The Piney Woods soap is a customer favorite and such a cool, unique product.
Ingredients: Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Water, Sodium Hydroxide, Swedish Pine Tar, Shea Butter, Castor Oil

Luffa Porter Soap
The ever popular luffa bar is back, this time with the nourishing and lathering abilities provided by beer. Of course, this one is local, the Milkhouse Brewery Red Eye Porter - a nice dark beer made with grains from Maryland. They are sold in a 32 oz can, so some is saved for soap and the rest is tested for “Quality Assurance” purposes…in my belly.
The luffa is a gentle scrubber and the shea formula is a silky smooth lather to get you clean with a great aroma of herbal essential oils - Spearmint, Rosemary, Basil, Eucalyptus, & Lemongrass.
These are also great to add a Soapsaver Bag when you want to get suds without using the luffa sponge.
Ingredients: Beer, Olive Oil, Apricot Kernal Oil, Coconut Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Shea Butter, Castor Oil, Luffa Sponge, Kaolin Clay, Essential Oils - Spearmint, Rosemary, Basil, Eucalyptus, & Lemongrass

Hand Soaps
If you like to have a bar of soap at the sink, these are smaller cuts just perfect for those multiple trips a day to wash your hands. Generally these cuts are extra batter poured into smaller molds. Sweet little ceramic soap holders in neutral colors to blend with most backgrounds, kinda grayish-brown, but each one is unique.
Green Bars - The greenish rectangles have no pumice, just a smooth bar with eucalyptus and spearmint fragrance. @ 2.5 oz
Ingredients: Yarrow infused Olive Oil, Water, Coconut Oil, Rice Bran Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Shea Butter, Apricot Kernal Oil, Castor Oil, Kaolin Clay, Dead Sea Clay, Fragrance
White Bars - The white rectangles/squares have no Dead Sea Mud, just a simple bar with some eucalyptus and spearmint fragrance. @ 2.0 oz

Happy Saturday, y'all. Here's the goings-on today. These lil chicks are about 2 months old. Their moms are Crowbaby and Goldie and the dad is Bertie Rooster. Which means a lot of Ameraucana genes and blue eggs, depending on which ones are girls. The ducks are all happy. We have some new soaps up on the site this weekend! 1. Lavender by the Sea has lavender and eucalyptus essential oils and a swirl of seaweed powder which is supposed to be a humectant and help your skin retain moisture. 2.And a couple specialty facial bars, one with apple cider vinegar and tea tree oil, the other with ground adzuki beans, French pink clay, and lavender. There is one sampler pack available right now that can get you all 4 facial bars for the price of 3! These new bars are great for the whole body or for a gentle by-the-sink soap bar to help soothe those dry and chapped hands. 3. Annnnd the latest beer soap 'Stout Soap' is just listed! So much fun for everyone one because sometimes it is fun to have fun (I heard that on James Hoffman's latest coffee video making 'donut coffee's and I agree). #tejasfarm https://www.instagram.com/p/CMXOHLlAL7s/?igshid=72wtee8scntr

Lavender by the Sea Soap
Lavender Fields was created with the idea of something peaceful, a nice stroll in a field of lavender before bed. Or something de-stressing, calming, relaxing like the sounds of the ocean. This soap has nourishing oils with the added benefit of a dollop of seaweed to provide vitamins and antioxidants.
Ingredients: Water, Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Apricot Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Shea Butter, Castor Oil, Kaolin Clay, Seaweed, Essential Oils of Lavender, Lemongrass, Eucalyptus

Video
Today's caption for #marchmeetthemaker is 'In Use'. We made these videos a while back to show the lather of some of the soaps to upload to the product pages and the youtubes. Some customers had questions about the pine tar soap like was it sticky or was the lather brown? While pine tar sounds like an unlikely ingredient and soap it has actually been used for hundreds of years! It is a byproduct of heating & pressurizing pine wood in a kiln. To show that neither of those unwelcome results occurred we made a video with some really dorky, 90's afternoon special TV kinda music. This soap display also shows an in use process because I used to stamp the soaps with a Texas inlay, but just because I grew up in the piney woods of Texas doesn't mean that's relevant for everyone else. I still use it sometimes but just less so. Do you think I should use it more? Do you like the Piney Woods soap? It's a bit strong for some peoples while others love it. (I'm a fan, but I love bonfires and Scotch and smoky things.) #tejasfarm https://www.instagram.com/p/CMUwte-ACMb/?igshid=17zic5puhccn2

Stout Soap
One of my favorite soap ingredients is beer. The sugars help build a better lather when it gets sudsy. This is the latest version, from a brewery right down the road that uses Maryland grown grains! No added fragrance, just the faint scent of barley and a lovely and luscious lather to wash away those winter woes.
Ingredients: MilkHouse Brewery Stout Beer, Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Apricot Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Shea Butter, Castor Oil, Kaolin Clay, Cocoa Powder

Today's prompt for #marchmeetthemaker is 'portrait'. So I'm just gonna leave this here. A portrait of a duck. The ducks are all settling in, being friends, I'm happy to say. We had the two females and introduced a female and male pair. And sometimes daily I'm now getting three eggs which is exciting. Soon I'll test to see if they're fertile and you know what that means ⏭️ wee baby duckies!! Hope you all have a quacking great day! #tejasfarm (at York County, Pennsylvania) https://www.instagram.com/p/CMR06D0gtoc/?igshid=1rvgzoulj4s63

Today's #marchmeetthemaker focuses on 'small details'. So I think it's a great reminder to not sweat the small stuff. You may look at other accounts or posts or products or processes and think they have it all figured out. But ya know what? We all have little things (or big things) happening in the background. Everybody's got something going on and we're all just doing the best we can. Take it from Pooh Bear, no one is perfect. Except you, you're perfect, just as you are. 💙 #tejasfarm (at York County, Pennsylvania) https://www.instagram.com/p/CMPWgRTgDg3/?igshid=8d4y1koutj2z

Today's thought for #marchmeetthemaker is called 'Learning Curve'. I feel like new experiences are constantly happening and I am constantly learning. Every day there's a new lesson to learn. My biggest learning curve of the past year was raising honey bees. We used some of the beeswax and honey in our soaps and balms! It was so fascinating to sit and watch them. Especially in springtime when there are tons of opportunities for them to get food. They all have an individual role and take care of growing the colony. In a hive there is one queen. I had mine dotted with paint so I could easily spot her. A blue dot means a 2020 Queen. Her job is to lay eggs all day and the surrounding bees ensure all her (and the hive) needs are met. Do you know when you first see the dandelions come out in your yard, that is the first opportunity to feed the pollinators?? Please don't mow them. Please don't poison them. Just know that you are helping to feed the world by leaving them there! Helping the world and you don't even have to do anything! 🐞🌏💚🌎🦋🌍🐝 #tejasfarm (at Pennsylvania) https://www.instagram.com/p/CMMsFhvAYw4/?igshid=1lb69ton5ofib

Today's post for #marchmeetthemaker is 'Work in Process'. I mean, isn't that everyday? We've had an exhausting weekend between a truck, chickens, turkeys and doggies (all separate issues, not a combination of...). At least the ducks are behaving. One of my favorite soap ingredients is beer. The sugars help build a better lather when it gets sudsy. This is the latest version, from a brewery right down the road that uses Maryland grown grains! The pictured soap was actually made with a stout because I like using a dark beer for color. But I loved this beer, the first sip of this English style bitter made me think I was sitting in an English pub, like maybe we could travel again, take a vacation, visit family, and maybe have a pint by the fire in a centuries-old public house (that's what pub is short for!) with a lovely Sunday dinner - Roast Beef (from a local farm) and Yorkshire pudding with lotsa veggies and roast potatoes and mashed potatoes, smothered in gravy. Anyway that's my dream. #wearamaskpeople This soap will be available later in the month. No added fragrance, just the faint scent of barley and a lovely and luscious lather to wash away those winter woes. Will be available soooooon! And will be in the next Goodie Bag Subscription! Happy Monday y'all. #tejasfarm (at York County, Pennsylvania) https://www.instagram.com/p/CMKHOgig2XQ/?igshid=1w0uj3bz3lnrq
