With one month of the new year out of the way, it seems like a great time to let you know what Birds of Valhalla has been doing to get a jumpstart on 2023 and orders. And right out of the gate, Birds of Valhalla’s CEO is lending a helping hand to a few people in need. While the studio might be doing amazing, there are some people that aren’t. With ban hammers being thrown left and right on TikTok and cities shutting down businesses without real reason… Birds of Valhalla is lending helping hands wherever they can.
January was a month of loss for some people. One of the CEO’s close friends was banned on TikTok on their main account for reasons that are unknown. The TikTok user Healing_Minerals, also known by close friends as Jeremy, made a backup account to be able to continue selling his crystals and educating the masses about them. His backup account is Healing_minerals2 if you want to help make sure he can go live in case he gets “banana’d” again. Every TikTok user knows that there’s a lot of work to be done with the Community Guidelines and appeals process, so hopefully those reforms will come sooner rather than later. And while those reforms are something we might be able to see, there’s a loss that doesn’t seem to have a way to overturn it and make it positive. TikTok creator and first season winner of LastBladeStanding, NorseForge has received some very detrimental news.
Down in North Carolina, a dream was born to create and sustain a blacksmithing business with a place to house gatherings of nerds of all kinds. Jeremy Fulton, also known better as NorseForged on TikTok, is a retired US Army veteran. Mr. Fulton began as a traditional blacksmith but decided to specialize in blades and the proper creation, maintenance, and repairs of said tools. Bladesmiths traditionally weren’t just blacksmiths, but also woodsmiths and leather workers as well to create every single piece of the blade. His inspiration to switch from the traditional job of blacksmith to bladesmith came from the idea of longevity and efficiency. In his own words, “I wanted to create blades for people who needed more out of their blades. I wanted to create blades that would last a lifetime. And that’s what I do.” However, every dream has an end where you wake up and sadly, this dream ended all too soon. Mr. Fulton was told by the city officials in his North Carolina town that he cannot continue his business, he is shut down. From a TikTok video explaining the circumstances, it seems bladesmithing is the only source of revenue Mr. Fulton has and he has a lease on the building through the end of March. This building also housed his mead hall which cannot operate as it’s attached to the forge which was shut down. With this notice to cease and desist all operations of bladesmithing, someone’s life was stopped in place at the edge of a cliff. And that’s where Birds of Valhalla, and a good many others, have stepped in.
Birds of Valhalla followed the lit beacons as NorseForged called for aid. Immediately upon finding out about the situation, the CEO jumped into TikTok lives and offered what assistance she could: a custom soap so profits and proceeds could go towards helping them get through the next couple of months. Bringing Mr. Fulton in on her own live, they created a beautiful soap. NorseForged chose everything that made the soap unique from the other bars Debra sells. Scented in orange, cinnamon, clove, and pine, these scents are what make Mr. Fulton happy. It was also disclosed that Mr. Fulton loves the color purple because he is color-blind and can see purple easier than other shades. And from this information and the beautiful melding of minds for this artwork, Purple Nurple was born! Topped with black volcanic salt, the vibrant purple colors are swirled with the black to create depth and an amazing contrast. This soap is one in a line of soaps that the CEO has made with content creators on TikTok. She chose a few big names, like Max Randolph, and collaborated with them to make soaps that they would love. On top of creating the Purple Nurple soap, Debra immediately put together a NorseForged box which contained Mr. Fulton’s favorite scents and a blacksmithing essential: Fenrir (Sandalwood and Vanilla), Bjorn’s Brew (Orange and Clove), World Tree (Juniper, Bayberry, Pine), and the blacksmithing essential The Raven (mandarin, tea tree, citron). This bundle is still available on the website, found here. And to pre-order the Purple Nurple soap, you can find that here as well.
Now if you’ve been around for a little while, you’ll know that the company loves to make things for the special holidays that come around. Valentine’s day is coming and last year, a custom box was created with soaps designed to look and smell like Leather and Lace. It had a candle, soaps, and a couple other small things which made the price worth it. Since Valentine’s Day is coming around again, this means that the CEO is working to make sure we have something for this holiday too. Be sure to check out the Etsy store, linked here, and on TikTok for all updates on this holiday awesomeness.
But if none of this is your style, there are still two new things in the studio. The iconic four florals soap that gets made different each time it’s created has a new name this time. Freya’s Garden, scented in botanical bliss which is light, fresh, and herbal with a hint of florals; lily of the valley; honeysuckle; and red ginger and saffron, a scent filled with lemon, peppery notes, earthy amber and saffron to warm the senses, ginger, patchouli, and cedarwood to bolster the base notes and balance out the freshness of the lemon. This soap is colored to bring the mind to a sunny day in the garden of flowers that the goddess Freya tends to. This soap was made with the other Jeremy, the one who sells crystals, one night on a Live that Deb was doing. They also made a soap that had a little bit of an accident. One thing that Birds of Valhalla prides themselves on is the abundance of fragrance in the soaps. Some may say Debra is a little heavy-handed with the fragrances in the soaps, but there aren’t that many complaints about the level of scent in the bars that customers have bought again, and again, and again. But this time, the soap makers were having a little too much fun with colors and mixing that the best ingredient was left out: the fragrance! Now there was a soap that was mixed and made, swirled and colored, poured out and decorated with no fragrance. So it was decided to call this soap Finger Paints and offer it to people who are sensitive to fragrances. You can find Finger Paints right here for pre-order.
Make sure you take a look at what’s going on on TikTok. The company is always posting content about the birds at Birds of Valhalla, and you’ll get to see the special bird that features in the logo, too! The soap studio is doing well with itself and goals have been made that the company knows it can make. Birds of Valhalla is growing and they know you are what makes it all happen. So make sure you check in on TikTok, engage with the community, and come enjoy the content made by all those people at Birds of Valhalla, where businesses support other businesses.

Literally so tired of looking at dog shampoo. I need nontoxic unscented anti-parasitic shampoo for a small adult-elderly dog. All these shampoos have these essential oils in them and are natural but neither of those things mean that they are toxic to pets. On top of that, I have cats too and I don’t really feel to comfortable with anything that’s toxic to cats but isn’t toxic to dogs. I’d prefer ingredients that aren’t toxic to either.
And we have another dessert soap! It wasn't my intention to end up with a second soap that looked like a dessert of some kind (see brownie soap in previous post) but, I'm super happy with the way this turned out though; despite it not getting the full swirl that I was going for.
Made with cocoa powder and Kaolin clay (and a little sprinkle of oats).
The cocoa helps promote healthy skin tissue while the Kaolin clay is a great skin cleanser, absorbing impurities and leaving your skin feeling soft.
4-6 weeks for this to cure and it will be ready to go out the door!
