Wild or tame? A living but unnatural energy roots these tracks. Enjoy in the dark, in a tent, in the forests and fields of your own mind’s reality. Signal Box “On the Inside” Two-track Single Release Date - September 14, 2024 Cover Art - Karen Versoza Guitar - Signal Box (aka Robin Anthony Coe) Voice - Karen Versoza Remix additional instruments and mixing - Songs of the Sea (aka Blair Dean) Remix Mastering - Martin Cantwell “On the Inside” was originally used by a butoh dancer to close out a mixed-media show in Tokyo in April, 2024. Signal Box then shared the track with Songs of the Sea, who reimagined it, adding beats, instruments, and sound design. Have fun listening to the simplicity of the guitar/voice original, followed by the experimental and musically adventurous remix. If it makes you think of another band, yes, it is an homage to Disco Inferno! Listen now on Bandcamp, SoundCloud or YouTube!  Also available on all music streaming platforms.

Low-Velocity Society “Night” Two-track Single Release Date - July 20, 2024 Cover Art - Mayumi Ishida Voice - Mayumi Ishida Poetry - Mayumi Ishida Lap Steel - Blair Dean Mastering - Martin Cantwell  One voice. One poem. One instrument. That is Low-Velocity Society’s modus operandi, and with the spoken song “Night”, we have the crystal-clear chaos of Dean’s lap steel combining beautifully with a Japanese poem by artist Mayumi Ishida. In both versions of the piece, Inuit’s words explore the internet-driven delusion that everyone is actually connected in today’s world.   Listen now on Bandcamp, SoundCloud or YouTube! Also available on all music streaming platforms.

Watsona Cyclops LP Release Date - June 1, 2024 Cover art - Michael King Music, vocals and production - Andrew Watson Cyclops, the debut album of Portland-based artist Watsona, is high-energy synthpop influenced by punk, goth, and electronica. Some songs marry the punch of Idles with the soaring synths of Depeche Mode. Others cross The Breeders with Tubeway Army, Ulrich Schnauss with The Velvet Underground, everything vibrating with the spirits of The Cure, New Order, and Wire. Transitioning from blasts of anxiety to tender nostalgia to humorous ‘80s dancepop, Cyclops achieves an album-wide cohesion perfect for introspective workouts and dance parties of one. Play it loud.  Listen now on Bandcamp, SoundCloud or YouTube!  Also available on all music streaming platforms.

Songs of the Sea Impact Tolerance of the Human Heart Single Release Date - February 24, 2024 Written and performed - Blair Dean Trumpet, production & mastering - Martin Cantwell Every structural engineer can calculate / Any given structure’s weakest place / And how much weight need be applied to make it fall apart / But I want to know the impact tolerance of the human heart. Aching with sorrowful sincerity and wounded resilience, Impact Tolerance of the Human Heart is the latest single by Songs of the Sea. With horns reminiscent perhaps of Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass, the great lyricism and melodies gel perfectly into a smart, earnest and catchy new classic. Listen now on Bandcamp, SoundCloud or YouTube!  Also available on all music streaming platforms.
