For whatever reason, I have a really vague recollection of someone trying to rob Hot Rod while he was parked, prompting him to transform and scare the thief. Is that something that has ever happened or am I imagining it?

You might be thinking of the other Autobot sports car with flames on the hood: Tracks!

Raoul tried to steal Tracks in the episode "Make Tracks."

Hot Rod was once stolen by a 1970s car thief in the second Devil's Due crossover with GIJoe, but Hot Rod was kind of woken up after the fact.

On Waspinator’s page, you guys note that he was originally scripted to die at the end of the first season, but the story editors convinced Hasbro to spare him because of his popularity online. Do you guys happen to have a source where I can read more about that, or even better, know what sites the early Waspinator hype might have been on?

Most of this information can be buried on archives of alt.toys.transformers on Usenet, and this would be where most of Waspinator fandom at the time would be stored. (Plus any discussion of what Larry DiTillio or Bob Forward would have said at any BotCon panels.) Not terribly user-friendly to search, these days, but that's where it'd be! Here's one post from the late Larry DiTillio talking about some of what you're asking about:

Do you think that Transformers Energon deserves a complete overhaul?

Absolutely! In fact, Transformers Cybertron introduced an Overhaul the very next year!

Hi, I have two questions: Why are the IDW characters' pages in the G1 sections? Why are they considered G1 but Cyberverse and EarthSpark are not? And why do the Hasbro Universe IDW1 comics and characters' pages have their own wiki and are not on the tfwiki, if the current comics are on the tfwiki? Especially since this universe ended years ago.

IDW is Generation 1. It was sold as "The Transformers" with the unaltered G1 logo with often unaltered Generation 1 character designs.

2. Hasbroverse stuff IS on Tfwiki. Anything in that universe that directly interacts with Transformers characters or is in a Transformers book is on Tfwiki. It's the exact same rules established with how we have always dealt with G.I.Joe. Joe and TF are in the same Marvel universe (or have at least interacted multiple times), but that doesn't mean we have a full Marvel Comics Destro write-up. We focus on when he shows up in stories that are Transformers-inclusive and leave the rest to GIJoe-focused wikis, because it isn't a GIJoe wiki. Same with Gobots, same with that time Transformers crossed over with the friggin' Avengers. We're not writing up a full career-spanning Carol Danvers entry.

And for those who want a wiki that incorporates the entire IDW Hasbroverse, then that exists also. And we're happy to link to it.

So, how much of the GI Joe content are your going to cover from the Energon universe on tfwiki? my 8th sense tells me that a lot of the GI Joe content will heavily feature transformers(and vice versa). Also tfwiki is the best resource when it come not to transformers, but even other properties relating to it(keep up the good work)

Thank you for the kind words! The existence of Skybound's Energon Universe poses an interesting question: unlike�� the previous "Hasbro Universe”, which retconned IDW’s entirely unrelated G.I. Joe franchise into IDW’s ongoing Transformers storyline, the Energon Universe represents the first ground-up attempt at building a shared universe. Given the scope and scale of this project, and given that Skybound’s upcoming G.I. Joe relaunch will build on the Transformers in some form, we’ve made the tentative decision to expand our scope to cover both Void Rivals and Skybound Joe-related media, although this might change as the Energon Universe expands!
