I made scrunchies!!!

Wish I had remembered to take a picture of this before fixing it. The pocket on my friend's shroomie suit had ripped. I was puzzled on what to do about it. Then I decided to insert some fusible bonding web between the torn layers before darning it shut with my sewing machine. Fingers crossed this fix will last.😬🤞🏾

I was trying to chill in bed and read a book on this rainy Memorial Day evening, but I've been attacked by this rush of anxiety that only my sewing machine can help me fight off. Here's my progress so far with quilting blocks. I'm gonna start working in some of the smaller scraps and build up with more white and light washed denim to brighten up the pallet.

I just made my first quilting blocks. These hearts are far from perfect, but I don't plan on doing anything about it. This project is a chance to practice being patient, but also rejecting perfectionism at something I am new to. I don't have an overall plan for what this quilt will look like. Just throwing bits together as I go.
