Feet tapped against the cobblestone path below, dark clouds hovering over the city of Gilneas. A young Thadwyl and Mace were running through the street, occasionally turning to sword fight with sticks. “C’mon, brothah! Ya gotta be fastah than tha’!” Mace yelled out as he was quick to run forward, always being the more agile brother while Thadwyl was much stronger. As they turned to ‘spar’ once more, Thadwyl knocked the branch out of his younger brother’s hand and poked him in the side with it. “An’ ya gotta be better wit’ yer fightin’ too!”

That left them both laughing as they sat on the corner of the street, just outside their house. A home where they wished to avoid as much as possible with the ruthless parents that housed them. It was then that a man yelled out from inside, their father. “Get yer arses back inside! It’s time to finish th’ damn chores!” This left them both groaning, and listening to what they were told to do as they headed back inside the home.

Happy One Year Anniversary Ludlow Vineyards!

To say thank you to the members, friends, and Wyrmrest Accord is simply not enough! 2017 was an entire year full of so many crazy, intense, emotional, hysterical moments we have all shared, both IC and OOC! It was a roller coaster at times to say the least, but we’ve all come out on the other side. Most of us are rather busy in the real world these days and some of us are taking a small break, but we are all still around for occasions and when called upon! 

Here is to our One Year Anniversary and we are looking forward to many more!

Members & Friends,

I am not certain where to begin. There is so much that I wish to say, but it seems like none of it could scrape the surface of how grateful I am to you all. I suppose I could begin by talking about my poor slideshow making skills… hahahaha… But no, really, the slideshow is in no particular order and there was so many more that I wished to include, but the slideshow would only allow 100 images! I could not believe the amount of events and the amount of RP that we managed in an entire year! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me manage events and the guild, for putting up with me, for having my back, for all of your time and effort, hearts and souls, blood, sweat, and tears, that was poured into Ludlow Vineyards! Ultimately, I thank you all for the friendship I have found in each of you. It has been a very difficult year for me outside of Azeroth, but you all have helped keep me occupied and smiling. Thank you for the laughter, the tears, and for the love you’ve shown me and each other. I truly hope that despite how busy we have all become that we continue to be close and keep our stories alive for as many years as time allows.

Finally Living.

The room came into view through sleepy, fluttering lashes. Everything was blurry at first, the soft cries of Lydia stirring Lumen from slumber. She could hear Thadwyl and Emily in the kitchen, her husband preparing their oldest daughter her breakfast. She rose up without effort, without lament of waking up. She couldn’t remember the last time she felt like waking up.. that she was glad to draw breath.

Her feet softly carried her through the long hallway to her daughter’s room, gently reaching into the crib and picking her up. Lydia was growing so much. She was three months old now, almost four. She didn’t get to watch Emily grow like this, taken from her shortly after the babe was born.. So she was thankful beyond anything she was able to watch Lydia do just that. 

The babe was hungry, Lumen settling down into the plush and luxurious rocking chair of the new nursery her husband had built on to the house. So many renovations had went underway, and some were still in the process of being done. The war was over. The war… was over. She told herself this every single day, listening to the soft suckling sounds of Lydia eating. Her husband was not going anywhere in the foreseeable future, and they could finally.. Live. Live without fear for whatever small window of peace there was to be had. 

Her eyes closed as she listened to his deep baritone laugh, how mirthful it was, even with the soft hollow of undeath upon it. Her work would resume with the Kirin Tor soon enough. In times of peace she worked within Research and Development. There were many things uncovered upon Argus that simply needed investigating further. Alliances were to be made with those encountered, she was sure of. But.. she could look forward to it.. simply because it was over. 

She finally took a breath, eyes fluttering as tears stung at them, nearly overwhelmed with emotion. She had never known how beautiful and how free it was to finally be living.
