Sigil of the Stag

Symbol of the solitary wanderer – the Hermit, the Hanged Man – whose path transcends. The Stag holds the keys to the Gates and it walks in worlds innumerable. It follows the wild path – the crooked path – and beckons for you to follow. 

Could also ~theoretically~ be used in conjunction with Cernunnos, if that’s what you’re into.

Clean House Powder

Intent: To cleanse a dwelling of negativity, “heaviness,” stale energy, bad atmosphere, etc.

Ingredients:

Lemon Peel

Solomon’s Seal Root

Cayenne Pepper

 Arrow Root

Blue Vervain

White Oak

Sage (any color)

Salt (both black & white)

Materials:

Mortar & Pestle (or spice grinder)

Funnel

Mesh Strainer

Collection Dish

Container

Note: Powdered versions of most herbs are available online. I recommend such sites as Starwest Botanicals and Penn Herbs for the quality products at reasonable prices. Also, if you can get your hands on a good spice grinder, you can make your own powder from dried herb products. Grind each ingredient separately to produce fine powder. Sieve the material through the mesh strainer into the collection dish; this removes the larger unground pieces and gives you cleaner powdered herb. (Pro-Tip: Putting a funnel under the mesh strainer reduces lost material and makes collection much easier.) Combine the component powders in the collection dish, mix well, and bottle immediately. For volume, go heavier on the less expensive or more easily available materials like Lemon Peel, Cayenne, and Salt. Otherwise, combine in more or less even amounts. Sprinkle a pinch in the corner of each room to dispel heaviness and clear the air, so to speak. Useful for spring cleaning and touch-up jobs throughout the year. Add to floor washes, incenses, or charms for general cleansing and purification of the home.

My favorite simple wards to guard the home

Hanging rosemary above the doorstep, and/or above doors of the house for protection.

Sprinkling a line of dried red pepper on a windowsill, to counter a curse.

Placing a mix of dried & ground eggshells and black pepper in every corner of a room to keep out unwanted spirits.

Placing a decoration representing a witch in the kitchen, to keep away illness and to favor health.

Crafting an effigie (no matter how crude!) and make it into the guardian of your home by charging it with your intent of protection and placing it near the front door.

Crafting small witch ladders to hang around the house.

To all my #bengal #cat friends on here. I'm probably being very daft and full of wishful thinking but I'd like some honest opinions on this... This is Alvin. He's a gorgeous rescue from the #bluecross in Bromsgrove, UK. As far as we're aware he's just a standard, 9 weeks-ish old moggy with a lot of zing, energy and a serious attitude to go with it his stunning looks. We know nothing of his mother as he was found with his sister in a shed at roughly a week old so have no idea what she looks like or any other background info. Now recently I've noticed he's been very vocal and seems to be getting bigger a lot quicker than expected for a kitten. Along with that I've noticed his coat and pattern is a little more extravagant than any other moggy kitten. My question is (if you hadn't guessed already..) could my little mumma's boy be a Bengal cross possibly?? I know, I know, bit far fetched but I can't help thinking it especially when comparing to registered Bengal X's on the internet. I love him regardless but I can't help the curiosity and thought best to ask those who know the breed best and what you all think 😊 #kittensofinstagram #adopted #furbaby #bengalcat #bengalsofinstagram
