The word "orphan", which comes from the Latin word "orphanus", is associated with a person, usually a child, who has lost their parents. For some reason, which to this day one may still find confusing, in literary instances being an orphan is something to be ashamed of which simply shouldn't be the case.

There is more than one orphan in this story.

The first of which we are all very familiar with, the Cannibelle of New Orleans as known by her fans from a certain Eaters Anonymous collective. Although she didn't refer to herself as such, she was an assassin who would occasionally receive a gold card with the name of the intended deceased of the night.

Then, there was the second. The monumental monolith in charge of the Greed Ring who was staring daggers into the former orphan. There was a certain glint in his green eyes, one with a swirl of anger and the other confused and infested with worms of bewilderment.
