Again, here me out. I was working on this artwork, and I had the thought; Metal's red glowy eyes would reflect on his metallic muzzle wouldn't they? Maybe not usually, especially not in strong ambient lighting, but say, if he's looking at something important super intently?? Or SOMEONE 🤭🤭 if he raises the intensity of his eyes for better visibility? To better commit the details to his memory, and it reflects on his muzzle, I think that counts as a blush, even if at its base it functions quite differently than what living beings would experience! It counts!!!

This is now an important head canon to me. Also I am so so happy with how the metal shading turned out, it seemed so intimidating at first but I'm satisfied with it for the moment and it allowed me to consider that head canon yayyy!

Yes that's right, Sonic is not afraid to be in the water and it's Shadow who's fumbling here lol

I honestly kept debating whether to give them swimming trunks or not, cuz I was like would it look silly? And then there's the whole issue with gloves or no gloves?! In the end I compromised with part of my brain that wanted to draw Shadow's stripes and the other part that said since Sonic is technically on the clock, shouldn't he wear gloves to be proper?

On the Sonadow/Shadonic side of the fandom I feel so spoiled cuz have y'all SEEN the amount of fics on ao3?! Like 7k+ last I checked, on the other hand Metonic is STRUGGLING 😭

That said however, I have read many MANY Sonadow fics and while so many are absolutely amazing, few come close to the genius that is Iron Oxide, y'all should seriously check it out. Seriously.

It's got Physics, it's got Quantum physics specifically, it's got Philosophy, it's got Art History, it's got fluff, it's got romance, it's got feels and it's got amazing writing quality!!!!
