i love how over rad squad was like yeah all our motivations are, in a sense, self-centered and egotistical, but that's what makes us so strong. because vbs' story has always been about resolve, about wanting something so bad that you'll do anything to achieve it, no matter what anyone else thinks or says. and for a once meek and timid girl like kohane, who was initially too afraid of stepping out of her comfort zone to pursue any kind of goal, this is such a rewarding point for her character to reach.

i think tsukasa's the type of guy who has so much negative rizz it loops back around to making him irresistible. he's like the pete davidson of pjsk. he probably repels anyone who hasn't spoken to him, but all of wxs has caught feelings for him at some point, and so has at least one of his sister's friends and a literal idol. and like with pete davidson, those immune to his charm (e.g. akito, shiho) think everyone else has gone crazy.

rui, on the other hand, is considered friend shaped to anyone he talks to but like that's it. the only person who's maybe had a crush on him is kohane but only in the sense that it was early story, they'd never met, and she just really liked his shows (also middle school mizuki? perhaps? idk girl was going through a lot)

The vigilante life was a tough one; all four of them knew it. It got easier once they banded together as a vigilante group of sorts, but each one of them had experienced its unique hardships.

Kanade had always wanted to save people, and with how much crime there could be in the area from villains roaming around, she wanted to help stop it. It wasn’t a passion like composing could be, but she was good at it.

Mafuyu…enjoyed that she had a professional sort of mask to hide behind. She knew her mother wouldn’t like it if she found out. Good thing she never would find out.

Ena and Mizuki were in it together, since one had to look out after the other. They covered each others’ weaknesses, and bickered about them the entire rest of the fight.

Their group was imperfect, but any vigilante group had its faults since they were taking on work they shouldn’t have to. Operating late in the night, at least, they could still live relatively normal lives.

the escape room scene revealed the ending of mizu5. niigo did everything right, demonstrating along the way how much they know and care about mizuki, but they still lost because someone else interfered at the last moment

to me it's like, the untrained shows her past and the trained shows her future. and i love the idea of grownup ena just being in this cozy home, happily making art the way she wants to. it's not as flashy as some of the other bloomfes cards, sure, but it's beautiful in its own way
