Finally managed to finish the next 3 pages of this here silly little Nie Bros Age Swap AU comic I sketched out a whole ago. :)

There conversation gets interrupted by a loud laugh coming from Wei Wuxian who is standing in a pond and throwing a fish at Jiang Cheng. Both are only wearing pants. Jiang Cheng is yelling at Wei Wuxian to stop: You will chase all the fish away before Nie-xiong made his first catch!

The next panel shows Nie Mingjue’s hands carefully reaching for a fish in the water and successfully getting a hold of it. The following page is just a single panel of him holding up the fish proudly. He is also only wearing pants, showing his strong physique and chubby belly. End ID.]

A million years ago I sketched out this Nie Bros age swap au comic

Today I finally had some spoons to keep working on it and finished the first 3 pages, huzzah!

I wanna draw.

Y'all, I have been struggling. Still am. Stress dreams about the work place I left behing almost every night. Wondering if I will ever find a job I love that won't burn me out, fearing about finances, all that jazz.

I just want to draw for a bit. Doodling away the anxiety. So I shall be open for suggestions for now.

The idea for this one has been marinating in my head for quite some time now. Glad to finally get that out of the system. I did a greyscale version of this one a couple days ago but decided to colour it after all, I am glad I did. The other one is underneath the cut. :)

Today I had some news, thoughts and complex feelings to process. I am glad I managed to work through it with some art. I am posting this for everyone who might feel guilty for not feeling sad enough when similar news reached them. It's ok. Just because someone is part of the family doesn't mean we have to love them.

There are many many reasons why I disliked this Grandmother of mine. She was cold, she was rude and inconsiderate, always demanding to be serviced. I only remember seeing her happy once - when she had a dozen people to command around for her birthday. She was all the things I never want to be.

I named this "Talking to the inner beast" when I worked on it today. I intented to actually draw a beast, all teeth and many eyes. But it turned into a crow by itself and now I feel more like this is my way of sending her and all my grievances with her off into the darkness of the night.

After finishing the last page till now I have finally managed to properly cry my heart out. All that is left to do for now is to tell her once more: Farewell, Grandma. I hope you find peace. I truly do.

@omgpurplefattie suggested: How about NMJ hauling both Nice Huaisang and Meng Yao around over his shoulders?

Huaisang was supposed to be tucked into Mingjue's side but it messed up the composition. I imagine that would upset him, so I left him out. Also tried to go for a more sketchy style, not obsessing about details too much. I think it turned out quite nice!

Anyways -as I was drawing I imagined some unrestrained summer fun for these two in Yunmeng's lakes. I am not saying it would fix them but I am sure it wouldn't make anything worse at least!

I got this incredibly delightful prompt from @trueishcolours: "The image that is seared into my brain is modern Xichen laughing and lounging on one of those plush sofas in a fancy fitting room, wearing a pair of rhinestone-encrusted heart-shaped glasses" (going shopping with the Yunmeng bros and his own brother)

And I just had to draw him. And when he appeared on my screen, suddenly I was slapping colours onto him and here we are now. I haven't drawn in months and this just happened within a couple of hours. He delights me and I love him.

Hey y'all!

I have been quiet for a while, life was... a lot.

For those who are curious, my most beloved Granny had a stroke and we had to move her into a care home - no worries though, she has recovered splendidly and is doing better now than before. We have been incredibly lucky but as you can imagine, it was plenty of stress.

My partner and I have been flat hunting as well and I am still in the middle of preparing to move. Exciting but also draining. My dearest Loki is struggling to deal with it all and honestly so am I.

Long story short. I am itching to create and draw and do something fun. I wanna draw some Nie Mingjue tiddies or whatever.

If you got suggestions, refs, ideas or whatnot. Please. Send them my way. I wanna have a bath tonight, some wine and then a doddling session. Thanks guys. ;_;

It's that time again! Summer break is right around the corner and as is tradition by now, I will use the last day of school as a day of celebrating the joy of creating.
